We are very happy with the service we receive. Notification email each week letting us know the name of the carer. Always very good care taken. The care company are very good at trying to keep the same carer each week, which helps so much with anxiety or worries of going with a stranger. The main office is very accommodating with requests or changes asked for.
Thank you for your kind words. It is one of our company values that we try and maintain as much continuity of care as possible, so it is great that this is the experience you are having and that our service is proving valuable to you.
My daughter has two carers a week in the morning. They arrive on time, always happy, chatty and friendly. She goes out into the community doing all sorts of fun activities. My daughter enjoys spending time with her carers. I'm happy knowing she is in good caring hands. All the staff in the office are very professional, caring people. As her mother, I'm delighted.
It is an absolute joy to support your daughter. She is a ray of sunshine and she lights up the office when she drops in to see us! We are delighted that you put your trust in us and are very proud of the relationship we have built with your family over these past few years.
I really cannot recommend these carers enough. They were brilliant. They have looked after my husband who has MND and provided the best possible care you could imagine. They genuinely really cared for my husband and tended to his every need. They also worked so hard helping me by cleaning the house, washing up, hoovering and anything else that needed doing. They also provided support and good advice where it was needed. They were always punctual, always happy and very engaging with us and we felt really comfortable having them in our home. My husband was particularly impressed by the foot massages he used to get. They really are second to none.
It is so kind of you to post such a lovely and comprehensive review and it was a delight for our team to have got to know you and your husband. If you need any support or advice in the future, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
This is how good they are.
You simply wouldn’t want anyone else caring for them!
Praise indeed! Many thanks for such a fantastic review. I'm sure you know what a privilege it has been for us to support your mum and dad - they are amazing people, and it has been our pleasure to have had the opportunity to get to know them.
Right at Home provide an exceptional level of care. I have been continually impressed with the service they provide. They have never put a foot wrong in what was a very complicated caring situation. The whole team has one aim, to ensure the client is looked after as if a member of the family. They offer a personal service and go above and beyond to achieve this. They are always punctual and the minimum 45 minutes visits ensure the carers really get to know the people they are looking after, spending quality time with them and all done with a smile and in good humour. They are a fantastic team and highly recommended.
That is such a lovely review of our services. Thank you for your very kind words. We are very fortunate to have a fantastic team who love to go the extra mile offering person-centred care for all of our clients, and are so pleased that the quality of our services are being appreciated.
Thank you to the senior caregiver and caregiver for all the support and help you offered my mother. The care is exceptional and the attention to detail is brilliant. It may have been only a short period of 6 weeks while waiting for a care residence placing but both Mum and I thank you so much. Very professional trustworthy people working for a well-run company. Regards.
Thank you for your very kind testimonial. We do know the members of staff to who you refer and will ensure we pass back your feedback. We are so glad we were able to assist so positively and wish Mum all the very best in her new setting!
Whilst we have agreed on activities I've been impressed by the ingenuity they have exercised to encourage eating, exercising and personal care to be carried out when Mum was, at times, reluctant. I would recommend their service to anyone who needs carers.
It has been an absolute joy to have supported your mother these past couple of years, and help keep her safe at home for as long as possible. Our caregivers have always been very fond of her and are proud of the relationships they have built with her and the family. An absolute highlight was, of...
Without their help, I have no doubt that we would be in a very different and much more uncomfortable place than we are today.
Thank you all for your help, support and professionalism. Highly recommended.
It was a pleasure to have helped in whatever way we could in these recent difficult weeks. Hopefully things will improve for your family in the coming months, leading to a much more settled time.
The wonderful team of carers from Right at Home continue to provide excellent support and care, allowing my aunt to fulfil her wish to remain in her own home. The kind, gentle and considerate way they help, while maintaining my aunt's dignity, is amazing. Their expertise and experience liaising with doctors and community nurses is invaluable and obvious that they have a very good, longstanding relationships with various other support organisations. Their communication, regular updates and quick flexibility to arrange extra visits, is great. We have been so impressed with their dedication and reliability- despite recent challenging travelling conditions in snow, the carers continued to arrived for every visit. Heartfelt thanks to them, they are highly recommended.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It is very kind to pay such an amazing tribute to the flexbility and expertise of all of our teams - both the management team and our fantastic CareGivers. We do pride ourselves on giving the best possible person-centred support, so it is extremely reassuring when we hear we are on the right track.
I couldn't have wished for a more lovely, caring, set of people to care for my parents. The dialogue has been excellent and they have always delivered a first-class service. They set themselves a high bar, differentiating themselves from other care providers, and really meet this. They supported Dad going into hospital and gave Mum support when he died shortly after. They increased their care sympathetically to help Mum stay in her own home despite, dementia taking hold, and have always gone above and beyond. The care given has been practical and companionable washing up, appointments, cleaning, checking the fridge, applying creams, and chatting over a cuppa with a wordsearch to encourage social engagement. Also relighting the boiler, sorting out water pouring in through the roof, etc. Mum has now been admitted to hospital and will not return home. Right at Home have enabled her to remain in her own home for as long as possible. I really cannot recommend this team highly enough!
As you know, we have always valued the relationship we have had with you and your family in recent years, and it has been a privilege to have had the opportunity to support you. We really appreciate the very comprehensive review of our services and thank you for your very kind words. As you say, we...
Right at Home are an exceptional company. From day one my mother was treated with respect and dignity. All her carers she referred to as her friends. I would highly recommend this company. The carers go the extra mile for their clients. When my mother became very poorly at the end I couldn't ask for better people to support us.
That's very kind to give us this feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to have known your mother and a privilege to have supported the family at such a time of need.
Right at Home, Mid Sussex has an incredible team. From the front-line staff to those in the back office, all members of the team are kind, attentive, professional and most importantly caring. They care for my mum and stepdad at home with daily visits to prepare food, administer medication, assist with showers and many other household duties. I would recommend them highly.
Wow! What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for your kind words, which we will ensure are passed back to our team. It is always great to hear that we are on the right track!
The company were easy to contact and all individuals were friendly, efficient and informative. The woman who called twice a week for my limited period of need was particularly helpful and pleasant to talk to.
Thank you for using Right at Home to support you during your recent convalescence and for taking the time to review our services. We are delighted that you are in a position where you don't need our services anymore and wish you all the very best for the future.
They are always on time, always efficient, follow instructions perfectly and repeat if necessary. They check to make sure they have completed everything before leaving. Wash and dry me pleasantly. I always enjoy their conversations and also their advice.
Thank you for your kind feedback. I've noted that you haven't given 'full marks' for the care/support we provide, so we will be in touch to see if there is anything else we can do to further improve the service we offer you, as we always aim to provide the best possible service!
We were all nervous about our aunt having care at home, we need not have worried! She quickly began to bond with her lovely helpers - those were her words. Right at Home staff put her at ease and quickly encouraged her to make positive changes - we had been trying for ages. So reliable, and professional and treated her with such dignity. Communication with the office was efficient and helped us be at ease. At such a tricky time in her life, we were very grateful for the support and kindness shown. Thank you.
Thank you for such a kind and comprehensive review. We are pleased to hear that the support we gave was valued, and it was our privilege to have been there for your aunt and the family at your time of need.
I would highly recommend you to everyone. Very impressed that two staff members come out to introduce a new carer each time to me. All the staff are very helpful and put up with my funny ways!
We love your funny ways! I'm glad that you appreciate our ethos of introducing CareGivers to our clients. We feel it is a really important part of our service to make sure that staff understand the care plans and that clients don't have strangers coming through the door.
What an organised, caring company, Right at Home (Mid Sussex), is. I would recommend anybody worried about their loved one to apply for help. We started with just three quarters of an hour as my elderly Aunt needed help in the morning with washing, dressing and breakfast. It was a comfort to us, as a family, that this morning routine set her up for the day. She looked forward to seeing the ladies (she asked for females) who treated her with love and respect and became friends. We did gradually increase the care which was so easy to do with a quick phone call. Unfortunately, after a year it became clear we would have to consider full time care away from the home. I have already recommended Right at Home as I have no hesitation in saying they are a first class company including the management.
Thank you for such a comprehensive and overwhelmingly positive review about our company. It is such a reassurance to know we made such a difference in your aunt's life. It was an absolute privilege to give her the support she required in the way she wanted, and a delight for our staff to have got to know her.
They are very caring, efficient and helpful in every way. Nothing is too much trouble they go above and beyond and enable me to be as independent as I can.
It's really kind of you to review our services. We are delighted that you feel you are getting a good balance of retaining your independence, but with our team just helping out with a few things where required.
Kindness, listening, expertise, problem-solving, caring, patience and skill from a wonderful group of carers.
Oh, wow! It is hugely gratifying to hear such an amazing testimony to our fantastic team, paying tribute to these subtle characteristics. It is a joy and a privilege to have supported your family in recent years.
Mum feels very safe and secure with the support provided. The staff are attentive and show genuine interest in my mother. I feel confident leaving my mother in their care. They always arrive a the correct time and willingly take on all the challenges that arrive.
Thank you for your kind feedback. It is great to hear that mum is reassured by the support of our team, and this in turn is giving you the reassurance you need. It is really crucial for us to make sure wherever possible staff arrive at the times they are scheduled to, as we know how important this is for our clients.

Andy joins the Right at Home network after a long career in the leisure industry. Initially working as a qualified golf professional, his career branched into management, latterly managing large proprietary golf and fitness resorts.
In early 2016, however, Andy decided it was time to channel his abilities into a business of his own, and of which he could be proud of. Andy’s parents were owners of two premier residential care homes in Burgess Hill, and so, having grown up in and around the environment, it was a natural choice to follow a similar path.
Andy explains, “I have long looked to use my skills and knowledge in developing my own business, and with years in customer service, management and public relations roles, the care industry seemed the perfect fit for me to contribute positively back to the local community, which has served me so well for the past forty years.”
“Having seen first-hand the richness that quality care can bring to the lives of the elderly, I feel passionately that I too can follow in my parents’ footsteps, and make a difference to those deserving of our support and understanding.”
“I am determined that Right at Home will offer the best home care service in the Mid Sussex area. We are building a team consisting of the best CareGivers, providing them with the right support, training and career development, within a fantastic working environment. This in turn ensures that our clients come to receive the highest standard of ‘person centred’ care – how they want it and when they need it.”
Andy still lives in Burgess Hill, along with his wife, two children and their dog. He still loves the occasional game of golf, plays football, is a keen supporter of Burgess Hill Cricket Club, and when time allows, likes to do crosswords, tend to his beloved garden and try to master the ukulele!
Lou has always wanted to work in care and, since leaving school, has gained hands-on experience within a number of NHS settings, care homes, hospices and individual private home care.
She has been working for Right at Home since 2018. Starting as a CareGiver, she always looked forward to the challenge of getting to know new clients, their families and what works best to ensure they are well cared for and feel safe within their home environment. Although her role has changed over the years, her passion for the role hasn't.
She was very pleased to be nominated for the RAH CareGiver of the Year 2021 and very proud to have won against stiff competition from all over the country.
In early 2022 Lou completed a level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and then became the Registered Manager of Right at Home Mid Sussex, a role that she is incredibly excited about.
Throughout the earlier part of my working life, I held a variety of roles in financial reconciliation and administration, acquiring a number of business and book-keeping qualifications along the way. Fifteen years ago, I left day-to-day employment so that I could focus on bringing up our two young children.
I later became a Teaching Assistant at the children’s primary school, enjoying a role where I really felt as if I was able to make a difference, and which I continued until this year when we decided to set up the business.
I am really looking forward to supporting Andy in developing the Right At Home Mid Sussex business, and learning more about the care industry, which is something I’ve never had involvement in before. I will soon be undergoing the same stringent training programme as our other CareGivers, so that I too will be able to deliver care in the homes of those that need us.
