Carers are helpful and kind.
Thank you for your kind comments and I know the carers enjoy visiting and spending time with you too.
I am very happy with my weekly carer and my weekend ones. They are very helpful and pleasant.
Thank you for your kind comments, Rosalie, I know the carers love visiting you too.
I find the staff very helpful and they will do all that I ask them to do.
Thank you, June, our care team love visiting you too.
My parents have been with Right at home for over a year now. The carers are compassionate, friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. The service is very good indeed. We are just about to increase the level of care to mornings as well as the current evenings. That in itself shows how highly we rate them.
Thank you for your kind comments Andrew, I know the carers love visiting your parents and we look forward to supporting you and your parents with any further increases too.
Since becoming one of Right at Home's clients my husband has responded to the interaction of the carers coming to our flat, he looks forward to them arriving and having a chat. Communication between office staff and us has been good, any changes to times or any concerns are resolved quickly.
Thank you for your kind words Christine, we are so glad you are happy with the carers and the service provided to your husband.
We have found all the Right at Home carers to be excellent and look forward to the visits.
Thank you for your kind words Jeffrey, I know the care team love visiting too.
I have no complaints regarding my carers. Find everyone courteous and helpful, only too willing to help me in any way.
Thank you very much for leaving us this review, we are always happy to receive positive feedback!
I cannot thank the team at Right at Home enough for all their incredible kindness and support. Their professionalism when dealing with my mother, who has Alzheimer’s, was first-rate. Mum is incredibly private and caring for her can sometimes be tricky. Right at Home was able to embrace this challenge positively - gaining Mum’s trust. Thank you to you all for being so respectful and compassionate.
Thank you for your kind words about the company and the carers. The carers and team love coming to Mum and having the pleasure of spending time with her.
My mum initially received domiciliary care from Right at Home before her health deteriorated / care needs increased after Right At Home provided Live In Care too. From the very first point we engaged the manager and her team of carers we were nothing but impressed with their commitment, empathy, speed in being able to re-configure the ever-changing care needs/package and overall ability to always go the extra mile to ensure my mum's needs were met. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. Special mention must be made specifically of the core care team of three who were simply outstanding! I would have absolutely no qualms in recommending Right at Home as a really great care provider for anyone reading this/trying to navigate the challenges of devising a care package to suit an elderly relative or friend.
Thank you very much for your kind words, it was an absolute pleasure to have cared for Mum and we are extremely pleased with the positive experience you received from the Office Staff and the Care Team.
We’ve received personal care from Right at Home for just over four years. Having had care previously from other providers, we found Right at Home to be second to none. From day one, we’ve had fantastic care from the management at very affordable prices. The management have been so kind, thoughtful and caring throughout. They were also extremely helpful to us as and when our needs changed, providing continuity of exceptional care which enabled us to cope with the changes that faced us. The carers have been absolutely amazing in the way they care for us. Very professional, kind and thoughtful. Always on time. We were saddened to hear that the owner was stepping down. She has been a great support to us and will be sorely missed, not just by ourselves but also I’m sure by all at Right at Home. The manager has dedicated herself to being the best for her clients, as well as for her employees. We trust the new owners will be able to provide the same fantastic care as she has.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are thrilled you are so happy.
With the support of the carers, my mother is able to live at home independently. She has companionship and supervision when taken out on local trips and weekly activities with the carers. The carers supervise with meals and ensure she is compliant with her regular medication which makes her feel better.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for your lovely feedback. Our carers are extremely fond of your mum and visiting her is always a pleasure. We are proud to support your mum and your family. We will ensure your feedback is passed on to the team. Thanks again, and best wishes.
Would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone in need of care. A professional company with the right attitude to care needs. We would have been totally lost without the carers who have all been so lovely with Mum. She has looked forward to their visits and when she has been distressed for whatever reason they have kept us informed. The carers have managed all Mum's personal care needs and provided the support required. The staff in the office have been professional, friendly and happy to give advice when needed. Could not have asked for more, thank you team for doing a fantastic job.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are thrilled to hear that you were happy with our service and care provided to your mum. We will ensure the team receive this feedback.
Home care have provided me with absolute reassurance that my parents are being seen every day by people that they like and who will help them with a whole range of tasks. My mother is determined to be independent and the staff have respected this while doing everything that is asked of them. They have dealt with my dad's needs sensitively and my parents look forward to the hour of company they provide. Contact with me is very good and I always feel confident that any crisis can be averted or dealt with.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our service. It really means a lot to us to receive this feedback and we will ensure all your comments are passed on to the team.
The office staff have always been available and have responded efficiently.
The requests, as made by the client and us as close relatives have been noted and responded to.
When there was a water leak we were contacted immediately, and previous difficulties have also been either dealt with or reported.
We are pleased with the service.
Thank you for the excellent feedback - glad we are making a difference to your family. We will ensure the team receive this feedback.
The care package formally agreed related to the care of my elderly mother who was a cancer recovery patient with Dementia, however, the care was very sporadic and basic, often with carers not even turning up or actually not completing any contracted domestic tasks. Two or three of the carers were lovely and actually related to my mother's needs however most were lazy, turned up late and did zero domestic tasks. Be aware before employing as they promise the world, charge the earth and deliver very basic assistance if they actually turn up at all. Gave my mum two days' notice before walking away due to lack of staff or staff that refused to work with Dementia patients. If you do employ their services be ready to get a weekly amendment to services when there are no staff available, which is very frustrating when the patient requires medication and there is no family member in the local vicinity to administer it. Very unprofessional with very little regard to the patient's needs.
However, we do not believe that this experience is reflective of our excellent service where high quality and compassionate care is delivered as...
A professional team providing reliable, kind, friendly and flexibility giving excellent care and companionship to my husband over the last 5 years and throughout the pandemic never missing a visit. My husband had communication problems as well as mobility problems due to a stroke and between himself and his carers they soon managed to understand each other while they showered, dressed him and provided his meals.
He was a keen gardener and his companion kept close watch over him ensuring he was safe while carrying out his gardening tasks. He also enjoyed his regular exercise walking around the neighbourhood with his companion sometimes sitting on a bench watching the world pass by.
While being cared for I was confident to take some time out for myself knowing he was in safe hands.
A big thank you to everyone at Right at Home for helping both of us through this.
The care provided to my mother by Right at Home has greatly increased the quality of her life in her own home. She is fully supported with considerate, professional and efficient care by a good team of care staff who respect her as a client in need and as a person. My mother receives prompt attention from the care staff without having to constantly ask them to do things and values their visits and indeed company when they are with her. The company management show positive interest in her care, are communicative and responsive.
Right At Home cared for my terminally ill father and subsequently cared for my mother, allowing her to remain in her own home.
The care of all the staff has been outstanding. They understand family cannot always be there are non-judgmental and supportive to relatives as well as their clients.
have helped with cheerfulness, encouragement, and always a smile.
Thank you to each and every one of you
I would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone who is looking for a company to provide them or a loved one with quality care.
Staff are very polite and efficient. Staff have always been helpful when I have needed to increase the amount of care needed. They have always tried their best to support changes in our lifestyle and care package.

Meet the Team (14)
Hello, I am Joe Guishard – Owner of Right at Home, Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan.
I am very proud of being the first Right at Home provider of care to the seniors in the Welsh Principality. I was born in Cardiff and have lived here all my life, so it gives me a feeling of great pride that I can now offer a service to the community that has helped look after me.
Prior to opening this company, I was a serving police officer for 6 years, wearing shoe leather in Cardiff. On my “off duty” days, I spent many hours supporting my elderly grandparents in a multitude of areas. These include practical tasks such as gardening and cooking, but also engaging in long fascinating conversations with my grandma about the ‘good old days’. I knew should they want care in their own homes, later on in life where family or loved ones were not able to help, then I would want them to have the quality of care that they deserve. I came to realise that by opening Right at Home in Cardiff and Newport I would be able to offer this quality care, and also ensure that other seniors or vulnerable adults looking for similar quality services could rely on me and my company.
Hi, my name is Holly, I have worked in care for almost ten years, starting my care journey with Right At Home when I was in university studying Education. I began as a carer and progressed through the company, firstly as admin then co-ordinator, to Registered Manager.
I left for a short time after having my daughter, to work in another domiciliary care agency as their Networking Officer, before now returning to my roots with Right At Home.
I have two young children – an 8-month-old son and a 2 ½-year-old daughter, so when I am not at work I am generally chasing them around, stopping the baby from dribbling on the toddler or stopping the toddler from throwing things at the baby. When I am not wrestling with the children, I prefer to spend my time outdoors, walking with my dog, relaxing in the garden with a book, or trying and failing to grow things in my allotment.
I working in the care industry because I want to make a difference! I enjoy meeting people and doing what I can to ensure they have the best day possible.
I am really excited to be back as part of the Right At Home team, and I am looking forward to catching up with those I have worked with previously, and getting to know staff I have not met yet.
Hi, I'm Vicky, and I've recently joined the team as an Admin Assistant.
With over 15 years of experience in the care industry, I began as a carer and progressed to become a care coordinator. However, my true passion has always been in administration and compliance.
I've attained my QCF Level 5 and continuously pursue professional development through various training programs and courses.
I'm thrilled to be part of the Right at Home team, sharing the same values and passion for delivering high-quality services.
Outside of work, I'm happily married to Darren, and together, we care for our pug named Zeus.
During my free time, I cherish long walks, gardening, reading, and spending precious moments with my family and friends.
Hi,
My name is Rebecca; Becky or Beck to friends and Boo to my family! I started out my career working in retail for Mitchells and Butlers at the age of 16. I became the Manager of my first Vintage Inn at 24 and have always loved the excitement of running a busy pub, providing great customer service and meeting new people.
Another passion of mine is foreign language and culture. I gained a degree in English and Hispanic studies, and I spent a year living in Spain. This led me to a role teaching Spanish to young children in schools and other educational settings, inspiring them to learn and grow for 8 years.
In 2020, when the Covid Pandemic hit, pubs and schools closed, and I was left with the daunting prospect of a change in career. By nature, I like to keep busy and to feel useful. I felt that during such a difficult time, I wanted to help people and give back to the community. I applied for a position with Right at Home Cardiff and Newport…and I have never looked back!
I have been with the company for 4 years, and I can honestly say I have loved every minute! We share the same passion and values; helping people to live fulfilling and dignified lives within their own homes and providing quality person-centred care. Although challenging at times, I have found this job to be enriching and rewarding and I have met some amazing people along the way. Over time, I have progressed to the position of Community Lead in the Newport area and then in Bridgend, where I moved in September 2024.
I have enjoyed getting to know all of our wonderful clients and our fantastic Care team. I look forward to embarking on this new chapter as Field Care Supervisor for Right at Home Bridgend and Vale, and I strive to help it to reach its potential of being the absolute best provider of Care around! I am excited to see where this journey will take me.
When I am not working, I enjoy walks with my partner, cooking, going to gym, musical theatre and singing. I have been with my choir, Allegra, for nearly 15 years and enjoy performing in concerts and competitions.
Hi! I'm Kali, I have worked for Right at Home for several years. I am extremely excited to work within our Bridgend branch as a community lead. I love a chat with our clients and enjoy providing outstanding care in the community!
When I'm not in work, I am busy being a mum to my two young children and spending time with my partner.
I started working for Right at Home in 2014, starting off as a carer and then progressing into the office as an Administration Assistant. I then progressed to Finance Assistant and now currently working as the Finance Manager.
Within my role, I am in charge of all the financial aspects, from the invoicing to the payroll. My role plays a huge part within Right at Home, and I am grateful to have been given this opportunity to progress within a fantastic company that puts their service users and carers as their top priority, to enable the best care to be delivered out in the community.
