We cannot recommend Better Care at Home highly enough! The service from beginning to end was exemplary. The care Mum received was outstanding, she wasn’t easy to please, having been a nursing sister in her time and she loved her carer so much. She was competent, caring and really inspired confidence. We felt completely secure knowing she was safe in the carer's hands.
This arrangement, now in its 11th month has, quite literally, been a Godsend. The whole team has been able to ensure that my parents can continue to live independently but with just the right amount of assistance at both ends of the day - frankly, I just don't know what we'd have done if we hadn't found them.
I have no connection with the company and is my unbiased view.
Outstanding level of care. Carers are consistent so my mother gets to know them really well and vice versa, they have paramedics who attend falls and minor injuries. Always on time and reliable. Best thing is carers are happy, bubbly and enthusiastic. Communication is excellent - rapid, helpful and informative. 100% happy. Thank you for looking after my mother so nicely.
The standard of care we receive from Better Care is outstanding, my Mum loves all the carers and looks forward to seeing them every day. The whole team are always willing to go the extra mile, professional and compassionate and genuinely care about Mum, additionally, they look out for my Dad, making them both feel safe and extremely well cared for. We will always recommend Better Care to anyone who needs care at home.
Superb care has been given to my Mother over the last year which has resulted in her legs healing from ulcers as well as giving her prolonged life.
I cannot praise the care provided by Better Care at Home highly enough. They have gone above and beyond what can be expected of a care agency. The care provided for my dad was fantastic and I could not have asked for more. They have been so helpful, professional and caring. I would recommend them to anyone looking for care for a loved relative.
In the three months I have been looked after I have received excellent care. I would not hesitate to recommend the young ladies who are looking after me to anyone else.
Extremely nice ladies always willing to help, polite and caring and really care.
The registered manager and staff dealt with difficult situations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring their client was well looked after despite his deteriorating condition. They were prepared to assist both client and carer in all manner of ways, making life easier for both of us and giving me peace of mind. Their client’s welfare was always foremost in all their dealings with him. I would highly recommend them.
They also provided transport to and from hospital appointments for a second round of surgery three months later.
Highly recommended.
They seem to me to be very interested in their work and will discuss any problems which arise. They have even fetched shopping which was a great help. They have been very reassuring when discussing my hospital appointments and tests. I feel able to discuss any concern I have.
When creaming my legs, which can be very painful, they are particularly gentle and careful, I do not have to worry.
Although I was hesitant about having care at home it has made a great difference to my wellbeing. The need is not as essential now as it was, but it makes a very reassuring start to my day.
I cannot thank them enough.
I have nothing but praise for the outstanding service we received from Better Care at Home. All the carers received into my mother's home were excellent. The owner of Better Care personally took an interest in our problems and was able to find solutions to give the best care to my mother who was by no means an easy case, having dementia but also a fierce independent spirit which she was not ready to have crushed and still wished to have some control over her own life. Better Care was able to find ways of helping her unobtrusively whilst allowing her to keep a certain amount of independence. It was refreshing for her to be treated without condescension or patronisation as she still needed to feel that she, even with dementia, was a fully functioning, able and intelligent adult.
The resident is very happy with the care provided and the information feedback from her team of carers. We are always kept informed by the staff and this does give us peace of mind knowing that the resident is being looked after properly.
Better Care at Home was absolutely fantastic. My father was in receipt of their active respite service for 8 months during which they took him to places of interest several times a week, combined with tea and cake. In reality, they did so much more. He had a small number of regular carers whom he was able to get to know over the 8 months and the company was my go-to point for information and help when I didn’t know who best to contact or how to source equipment when other services were not being very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and always accompanied with smiles and good nature. They were very flexible with regard to changes in timings to fit in with visitors and accompanied Dad to the GP when we were not able to. We really appreciated their support when we had to move Dad to a care home and subsequently at his funeral. I have no reservations in giving the highest recommendation to any family looking for consistent, reliable, person-centred care for a family member or friend.
