Home Instead (South Lanarkshire)

My father recently returned home from hospital. The team were superb in putting a care package in place. Sadly, my father's health deteriorated but at all times the carers treated him with dignity and compassion. In his last days, they were also extremely supportive to me and my family. Although end-of-life care may not be their core function, they did everything to support my father and our family. We are extremely grateful and I know my dad was happy to be supported by the carers he knew and loved. Thank you.

The caregivers were kind and thoughtful and brilliant with Mum who loved their company. Her flat was also kept spotless and washing was done regularly. She was well fed and it was lovely to see her come alive again - we felt she was really cared for in all senses of the word.

My mother-in-law has been receiving care for a few years. We have been really pleased with the service that has been provided. The care and attention she has received has been very good. The carers have responded to my mother-in-law's individual needs in a caring way. They are always helpful, polite and nurturing. The management team are always really helpful when you contact them and visit the clients at home.

I really appreciate the care providers that come to care for me 4 days a week 2-3 hours per visit usually they provide an excellent all-round service always punctual too.

In 2018 my sister was being 'kept' in a nursing home against her wishes by her son. After interventions by social workers, her lawyer and her family, I contacted Home Instead. I can't thank them enough. After reviewing her health situation and factors about suitability the care manager put in place the package to allow my sister to return home. She has now been in her own home for over a year and is happy and content.

He enjoys the company and seems to get on with all of them. I work fulltime, so it also gives me peace of mind that he is in capable hands.

They obviously enjoy what they do and care for their clients. The only comment on the downside, was when the rotas were changed, this caused confusion for Mum, this did settle once Mum got used to the new carers.

I have found Home Instead Senior Care to be very approachable and co-operative for my mum's requirements.

The girls are lovely and take great care of looking after our grandparents. Gives us peace of mind to know they are coming in a few times a week. Gran is always saying how nice the visits and cups of tea are.

My Mum has received excellent care from all Home Instead carers. Everyone is very kind, patient and treats my Mum with great dignity during their visits. The management team are very efficient and put in additional care very quickly when it was needed. I have been delighted with the standard of service we, as a family have received.

For that reason, I am continuing to employ them.

The caregivers are respectful and professional.

I feel comfortable to ask questions and my parents enjoy the visits they receive.

My mother, who has alcoholic dementia, remembers their visits and responds to them very well and is not resentful of interference in her life, but looks forward to their company hugely.

I use Home Instead when I have to be away from home for very short periods. I have other family members who help with the care of my husband, however, there are times when there is no one available to look after or be with him. This is when Home Instead has been a saviour. Both owner and manager are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating and have always provided a caregiver to fit in with my husband's needs. The caregivers are always friendly, helpful and reliable.

I found the whole experience excellent. The carers were very professional, compassionate and were always very considerate to my mother. Their time keeping was excellent.

We have been very pleased with the practical and emotional care and support provided to our parents. A friendly and positive approach has been a huge benefit.

I cannot praise my dad's carers enough. All of the girls are kind, caring, professional and I must say that their efficiency means that my father doesn't have to be hospitalised or referred to a nursing home - something for which, we are eternally grateful.

The owner and care manager are easy to contact, extremely helpful, professional and very flexible with arrangements. We would highly recommend this company keep up the excellent work!
