The management and carers are excellent! Nothing is too much trouble. They never appear rushed and always have time to talk about their lives and family, as well as ours! I could not do without them!

Great team of carers. Nothing too much trouble and happy to go above and beyond to make sure my dad is well looked after. They have certainly removed the stress of looking after an elderly parent.

My mum and dad could not have coped without the carer's help. They have been fantastic. Not only providing physical care, but friendship and reassurance. I would absolutely recommend and encourage people to use them. When my dad became so ill he had to go into hospital they organised everything. Similarly, when he passed away, nothing was too much trouble.

I am very satisfied with the service provided by Right at Home. The ladies provide meals and company for my dad and give me the reassurance that he is ok when I am not with him. They are honest, trustworthy and very reliable. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I have been with Right at Home for approximately 3 years and have enjoyed excellent service from both management and staff. The person I have been allocated for my personal care has been excellent in both knowledge and care in her ability. I must add that whilst my current carer is outstanding, others have been very capable. Timekeeping has been excellent and time allocated has never been reduced for any reason.

All the carers are brilliant, making sure Mum and Dad are looked after well. We’ve had a few medical issues this month and the carers have jumped into action super quick to make sure Mum and Dad have got the medical attention needed.

Always super friendly and caring, and wouldn’t have anyone else take care of them now.

Right at Home has made the biggest difference to not only Mum's life and quality of life but also to my sons and my life. I genuinely believe had we not come across this care company when we did, we would not still have Mum with us today. The carers always go above and beyond and treat Mum amazingly. They give her the dignity, care and respect and love that every human being deserves to have.

Right at home provide a companion service for my elderly Mum for two hours each week. This is specifically to help Mum get out of the house, perhaps to the shops or just for a stroll or drive around the area as she has no family close by. Mum has dementia and can become confused and disorientated so it is great that she has someone with her she knows and trusts. Over time Mum has developed a friendship with the ladies who visit. They are always kind and patient and proactively look for ways to help Mum and make her life easier and more pleasurable. Nothing is too much trouble. I will also say that my communication with the office team is great too, which is very reassuring.

I cannot fault this company! From the first contact, we felt their arms of compassion and support around us and that compassion continued over the three years that they cared for Mum enabling her to remain in her own home with Dad as she wanted.
I can only commend the family of carers for their committed support and care for Mum when she was treated with dignity and respect, kindness and consideration. The girls should feel proud of themselves for the difference they made day after day, not just with the care provided but the lifting of spirits with their cheery and friendly outlook.

As her daughter, I particularly appreciated the no-problem approach from the coordinators and management team who took my calls during (what were for me) difficult times. They calmed me with their unflappable approach and I always felt assured that they were doing their best for Mum and her individual needs.

Most disappointed with the first visit. Cancelled immediately after visit. Carer came unaccompanied. It was arranged at the first point of call (the interview) that the carer would be accompanied. The shower was not fully done. Main areas of hygiene not washed. The shoes of the carer were not removed in entering the home or when showering. Dirt and stains were left behind. Mum totally disappointed after the visit and had to be washed again.

We are incredibly grateful to have had Right at Home by our side during my wonderful dad's last few months. Every member of staff that came through our door greeted us all with a hello and a smile that was much-needed during such a difficult and sad time. The care that Dad received wasn't just personal care, it was true care. From sitting and chatting in the garden with Dad on a sunny day, supporting us all when we got upset to providing ideas that would make Dad more comfortable, every caregiver bought something special, and we thank you.

David Meanwell

Never has a name been more fitting for home care-at our core, my team and I truly do "Mean Well".

In a interview, I was once asked what I wanted to do with my life. Without hesitation, I answered. " I want to make a difference. "while I've successfully built two car rental businesses from the ground up and influenced many employees along the way, that core purpose has never changed.

After owning Right at Home Stockport and Didsbury, I had the unique privilege of delivering outstanding care in a community I've called home for over seventeen years. It allowed me to bring together skills I've honed in business with a personal mission: to make a real and lasting impact.

Due to the success for Right at Home Stockport and Didsbury, I've now taken on Right at Home North Cheshire and Leigh, expanding our reach and commitment to delivering exceptional person-centred care across even more communities.

Throughout my career, I've always demanding high standards of service-not just for the sake of business, but because I believe deeply in treating every customer with the Same dignity and respect we'd offer our own grandparents. That philosophy shaped my past businesses and now defines the way I lead in the home care sector. Providing compassionate, quality-driven care isn't just a goal-it's our promise.

After spending years working in retail I felt I wanted to do something more fulfilling and personally rewarding.

My family have extensive caring and nursing backgrounds and I see how rewarding that has been for them - I wanted to play my part in caring for others.

I decided to apply as a caregiver for Right at Home, and instantly knew that this was the place for me!

I thoroughly enjoy my job and the excellent team I have around me. I pride myself in the care I provide for my clients and the values that Right at Home stands for.

I have been with the company for just over 6 years, I am currently doing my NVQ level 3 in adult social care to further my career, and I am now also a part of the recruitment team for Right at Home.

Right at Home continues to support me in all aspects of my work, and personal life, and for that, I am truly grateful!

Angela Billington Job Title: Caregiver Joined: 2019
Angela Billington

After taking care of my mother-in-law when she was terminally ill with cancer, she was overwhelmed with how I knew exactly what to do to help make things easier and more comfortable for her. One of her cousins who had never met me before actually thought I was my mother-in-law's nurse because of the way I cared for her, this was when my mother-in-law made me promise her that I would become a carer!

I kept my promise to her and became a carer 10 months after she passed away which was 15 years ago. I have never looked back since, my only regret is that I didn't become a carer sooner, I love everything about it, it's a very rewarding job, and I love to put smiles on my clients' faces. Working for the right company really makes a difference, I never feel like it's a job, it's just part of my day, part of my life to get up and visit my clients and take care of them. I have cared for a lot of people over the years. I remember each and every one of my clients I have loved and cared for...

I truly love my job

Christine Finnegan Job Title: Caregiver Joined: 2024

I started Right at home 6 months ago, it has been the best care company I have ever worked for. I have been working as a carer for a long time, I love the satisfying job role. I love to try and improve other people’s lives as I get a great sense of reward knowing I’ve tried my best to help others and it makes me feel valued. I have a wonderful relationship with the clients and I will go above and beyond and go that extra mile. I love chatting and having banter, I love them showing me pictures and telling me their stories from some time ago. I have a desire to look after people, it’s the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I enjoy my work and you get to meet a lot of lovely families not only do you look after the service users, but you also look after their families. The best of it is supporting individuals by helping them to live in their own homes, I have so much compassion about my job.
