The quality and standard of care has been exemplary. The carers have essentially become part of the family. We have never been let down and any last minute requests have always been accommodated. I can't recommend them enough.

The care provided by carers appointed by Respectful Care has always been excellent, The carers invariably offer extra help beyond immediate care, are punctual, keep good time and are polite. If a change of the start time is required because say my wife has an appointment away from our home (I have in recent weekly charity events) Respectful Care is prepared to alter the start time for the carer to attend and will cooperate in any reasonable request. My wife is relaxed in chatting to the carers who are in turn happy to engage with her. All in all a good company with very helpful carers.

The staff at Respectful Care have looked after my sister for a number of years now and myself and the family has found the carers to be extremely helpful, very caring and a few of them have gone over and above what is required of them. Not only have they cared for my sister extremely well but they have built up a good relationship with the rest of the family. In a lot of cases, they have gone beyond their normal duties. Overall I have been extremely satisfied with the care of my sister.

When my very independent 97-year-old mum unfortunately fell and broke her hip, it was decided she would need help and support to remain in her own home. She was very reluctant, frightened, and wary of change to her usual way of coping. My goodness, what a difference the Respectful Care team has made to Mum's life. She was very gently coaxed into accepting her new normal with much kindness, dedication, and respect. Mum is so much happier now than she has been in a long time and very much looks forward to the daily visits. All of the carers who support Mum have been professional, reliable, and very efficient. Very caring and kind. I highly recommend Respectful Care.

First of all, I would say that our whole family want to thank Respectful Care and recommend them without hesitation.
We visited the offices several times, and know how approachable, thorough and well run they are. But of course, it is the carers who make the difference.
Our 96 year old Dad had lived alone for some 30 years and found welcoming new people into his home quite challenging, especially when he wasn't well. Once there was a regular team of carers, he started to settle, and over 12 months, we eventually increased to 4 visits a day, as his needs increased. There are too many carers to mention, but over the last few weeks of Dad's life, we owe so much to five particular members of staff.

Our Dad passed away recently after a very short stay in hospital, but we are so grateful for the care and support provided by the Respectful Care team that allowed him to stay at home as he wished. Many thanks.

Whilst my mum was taking a well-earned carer break I moved in with dad for the week as his carer. The carers came to dad three times daily as usual but also sat with him until his lunch call. They were professional, friendly, caring and completed tasks around the house. I would not have been able to do it without them and had no qualms about leaving dad in their care.

I visited Respectful Care at their office, I wanted to meet the staff before making a decision on using their services, within 30 seconds of walking through the door, I knew I would be using Respectful Care to look after my dad. They were very sympathetic and accommodating to my concerns, so welcoming and helpful. With the care of my dad, not only do they send out a rota so I know who will be attending and when, they contact me if they have any issues however small, thank you for that. My dad is very happy with the staff too. World-class service, my sister and I are very grateful.

Dad was looked after from December 2023 till June 2024, the team that looked after him were very good, in all aspects of his care.

From housekeeping, personal care, and his medication. We were very pleased with his care package, and wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

My mum returned from the hospital, then respite home, to her own home after we had it modified to make things safer for her. This was in March 2023. On recommendation, we appointed Respectful Care to provide the necessary care package for her to continue in her own home.
My mother is not good with people she doesn't know, but the Respectful Care people all loved her and cared for her with the greatest kindness, patience and respect, and my mum flourished under their care and improved enormously.
I met many of her carers and they truly do live up to Respectful Care.
They noticed the slightest health issues with Mum and let me know immediately. Sometimes those issues were urgent and they also needed to call 111 or arrange for paramedics - all was done swiftly and efficiently and with my full knowledge and approval.

Sadly Mum has taken a turn for the worse and will now have to go into end-of-life care in a nursing home, so our contract with Respectful Care is at an end. Well done to Respectful Care.

We have known the agency since August 2021. After participating in a rehabilitation programme for my husband who has a painful arthritic condition and Parkinson’s, we retained a link with Respectful Care and they visited for a half-hour session each week. Recently my husband has required more care and as always they have been responsive to our needs. We find the carers skilled and knowledgeable, keen to oblige and always cheerful. We have always had prompt responses concerning arrangements for visits, requests for advice and financial issues. We greatly value our link with Respectful Care.

Respectful Care have been supporting my parents for over 6 months now, my mum has Alzheimer's and my dad is not very mobile. The support provided has really helped my parents maintain as much independence as possible, whilst I have the peace of mind that they are being looked after and safe. My parents look forward to the team coming to them and they have a great relationship with the whole team. The social activities that are organised, such as the Christmas party, are amazing, and my parents really enjoyed the social interaction and being able to meet others. Overall it is a friendly and professional service, with constant care package reviews I know my parents are getting the correct level of care.

Respectful Care started looking after my mum in November 2023. From the off the care coordinator and her team have gone over and above with looking after Mum. The care coordinator has always been at the end of the phone to answer any questions and is very helpful. Mum is very happy with the carers she has and loves to see them each day. As a family we would highly recommend Respectful Care.

I'm really pleased we chose Respectful Care to provide assistance to my partner, whose Alzheimer's has been gradually worsening since we began the care arrangement about a year and a half ago. The carers are very different in that each carer is very much their own person, but all provide the same excellent and professional standard of personal care for my partner (assistance with getting up, washed, changed, dressed and ready for the day). It's always a pleasure to have a bit of a chat with them, either on arrival or when they are completing the folder (sometimes it's the most conversation I get in a day, so the visits are a positive thing in more than one way). The company has always been flexible when I have wanted to take my partner away for a short break and a change of scene.

Respectful Care was recently recommended to me by someone who had used their service. I cannot have wished for better. My initial contact was with the manager who was able to visit my Dad and do his assessment very quickly, so efficient. A care plan was worked out and within days the help we had needed, arrived.
The team of carers were absolutely brilliant and left the house organised and clean each time. Always making sure he had eaten, showered and shaved. Their communication is great and my dad responded well to them all. They were punctual and knew exactly how to keep my dad’s spirits up despite his Alzheimer’s progressing.

We as a family have had to take the tough decision for Dad to go into residential care as 24-hour care is what is needed for him now. This doesn’t take away from the fantastic service he and I received. I had 100% trust in the manager and her team and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you everyone at Respectful Care.

Respectful Care were recommended to us by a friend of my mum's some 2 years ago. I was so pleased that we took the advice. Mum has had the support of a number of different carers all of whom have gone the extra mile when necessary to enable her to reside in her own home until her mid-nineties. The flexibility and speed of provision of additional care provision, when required in recent weeks, has been second to none. Many thanks.

Alix Brooks joined Respectful Care after a long career in the NHS, particularly working in the areas of mental health, drugs, and alcohol services. She has specific experience in one-to-one sessions with service users and their family members, and of engaging with other services to ensure the wellbeing of service users.

Susan Parkin

Our Client Team Leader, Susan Parkin has been in the Health and Social care industry for over 20 years. She has worked for various domiciliary care companies, working at Respectful Care for the last quarter.

With Susan’s vast amount of experience in the sector, Susan first took to management as a Care Coordinator where she ensured that the service ran as smoothly as possible. She possesses an excellent approach with her staff and clients. Her methods surround consistent and thorough communication, making sure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the expected ‘Respectful Care’ standard.

Susan’s current role as Client Team Leader requires her to assess our client’s needs before their care package commences. Susan makes sure they are receiving the best possible care by reviewing the care plans regularly and continuously communicating with staff regarding any changes. She is the lead liaison when it comes to medication and the quality of care, meaning our clients are in very safe and capable hands.

Susan Goffin Job Title: Client Team Leader Joined: 2017
Susan Goffin

Susan Goffin’s journey into care started when she joined a nursing home in Beeston working weekends (when she was just 15 years old!) She soon left school and went to college where she studied for her NVQ level 2 in Business Administration and I.T. Susan found this unfulfilling and missed her responsibilities at the care home. Having enjoyed her work in care, Susan returned to work at a residential for 7 years.

Susan first started working in domiciliary after she had her first child in 2003. She worked there for a further 7 years where she gained experience in the community. Susan is a big promoter of care in the community as it allows vulnerable adults to remain as independent as possible, for longer.

Susan worked her way up to the Field Supervisor and then Care-Coordinator. She now works for Respectful Care as a Client Team Leader where she reviews our client’s care to make sure they are happy with what they receive. Susan has since reported that she loves working for Respectful Care as everyone within the company is so optimistic and encouraging. We encourage great teamwork alongside great friendships.
