Respectful care are exactly what their name implies from the home visit to make an assessment of needs to the matching of a carer. to my husband, their staff have been excellent. They have shown me respect and have been flexible when I have asked for additional hours to cope with hospital appointments for myself. The care staff have been reliable and helpful. The main carer understands the difficulties for spouse carers and this has meant a great deal to me. I could not cope without the carer supporting me and enabling me to go out knowing my husband is in safe hands.

Respectful Care have visited and cared for my sister for five years who has dementia which has steadily worsened over the years.

The staff have been amazing and most professional treating her with dignity. In the beginning, it was difficult to recognise the severity of her condition as she disguised it, especially in her home.

My mum has been receiving care from Respectful Care for a number of years now. Mum is housebound with progressing dementia and due to mum's hospitalisation earlier in the year, she required an increase in care and support to which Respectful Care quickly responded too. The team are always friendly and helpful and carers keep me informed of any issues identified.
The carers have built a good relationship with mum and I and it is lovely to see them engaging her in conversation. Mum is always happy to see them and thinks the world of them. I really don't know what we would do without the support, especially over recent weeks when I became ill, the carers rallied round and did over and above by ensuring mum had all she needed which gave me peace of mind knowing that mum was being cared for.

Thank you so much.

All the staff really care for my mum. The professional work they do is great but she really appreciates the relationships they build with her. They maintain her dignity at all times and give her something to smile about. They look after her physical needs but have become part of the family. So reassuring for us when we can't be there as much as we want to. Highly recommend.

Respectful Care Nottingham South called on both of my parents four times a day. My father has dementia as well as medical problems and my mother has Parkinson's disease and mixed dementia. The carers were very patient and understanding and gently coaxed them to shower, helped them to dress and prepared their food and gave them their medicine at the correct times. The carers also did some light housework, and changed the beds and washed and ironed. They couldn't have done more!
This enabled my parents to stay in their own home for as long as possible.

The carers are very friendly and professional and soon became friends to my parents and myself. I was always kept informed of any changes in my parent's health and the office staff were always available and eager to help with any enquiries I had. I can't praise the the staff highly enough.

Respectful Care Nottingham South came in to help my elderly mother at short notice, they were known to my wife and I, as they had cared for my mother in law and father in law so we were fully aware of Respectful Care. We have been really impressed with the quality and having met a couple of the carers at my mother's house also the friendliness of the carers. Mum looks forward to their arrival every morning and is fascinated with the stories they tell her about themselves. She does have different carers but she does like to see different people. Our family is very pleased how well Mum has accepted carers coming in and I have heard nothing but praise from my mother about all the ladies that help her.

All the carers from Respectful Care treat my mother with utmost respect and dignity. They have got to know her so well and I love to hear them joking and laughing together.

Respectful Care has given me such support and the confidence to leave Mum with them whilst I take a break. Thank you to all the carers and to the office for organising everything and listening to me when I have queries or worries.

I have been very pleased with the care provided by all the carers who look after my mother. They always greet her by her name and engage her in conversation which is an important part of the visit. The lunchtime carers always cook her a meal that meets her needs. The carers always keep me informed of any issues identified. There is always admin staff available when I've had any questions and they have been good at responding quickly to the changing care needs of my mother.

Over the past 18 months, the team have gone over and above to make sure my dad has the care and support he needs. I cannot thank them enough. Both the team of carers and the office staff have been absolutely amazing. Words cannot express what they mean to us. Especially over the last year where they have seen my dad more than family. Putting themselves at risk during the pandemic.
The office team have really been fighting a battle as well. With staff needing to look after children/isolate to keep people safe. Even with this in mind, my dad has always had the care he needs and they have really tailored it to him. Due to the nature of my dad's illness, he is gradually needing more care and they have been so accommodating. Nothing is too much.
I trust them wholeheartedly.
The rota coordinator has worked magic week after week to make sure everyone is cared for. The owners are so approachable and empathetic. I don’t know how they do it.

We are so grateful and would highly recommend them.

We initially needed urgent support for my mum and at very short notice Respectful Care took on Mum and provided carers to come on twice a day, when it needed to be increased to 3 times a day, again they responded very quickly. They also offered me advice on things that would help Mum and how to obtain them.
They were very professional in their approach as to how they dealt with Mum's medication and the care she needed. The carers without fault were all very kind and helpful, encouraging mum to let them help her, enabling her to live in her own home.

They have always contacted me if they had any concerns regarding Mum's health or welfare and equally I have always been able to contact them even at weekends and after hours.

Respectful Care looked after my mum for over 2 years until she recently had to move into a residential home. The care she received was always wonderful and she was very fond of all the girls. Without Respectful Care Mum could not have stayed at home as long as she did and I will be eternally grateful. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.

My father became a client of Respectful Care in December 2020. Our first contact with them was very positive, they responded promptly to calls and e-mails and were very thorough when they came to discuss his needs at his home.

The carers are always very engaging, bubbly and compassionate, which is a definite bonus with the recent restrictions which in addition to his dementia, poor sight and mobility, has meant he has not been able to get out as much as he used to. The family are contacted by the carers if there are any concerns and last week when Dad needed medical treatment the carer spoke to NHS direct and kindly drove him to hospital where I met them.

I cannot thank them enough and would definitely highly recommend them.

Following a number of health issues, my mother required increasing care and support at home. Respectful Care was recommended to me by one of the hospital team. From the initial contact with the team, they went out of the way to accommodate my mother's needs. From calling or texting me when noticing something of concern following a visit, to promptly amending visit times and frequency as and when required. My mother passed away recently, at home where she wanted to be. The care, advice and support during this time was outstanding. The carers genuinely do 'care' and take more than a passing interest in their clients and family. They went out of their way to help. It was all very reassuring, and I know it has been difficult for them during these recent times. A sincere thanks from my Brother and myself.

Alix Brooks joined Respectful Care after a long career in the NHS, particularly working in the areas of mental health, drugs, and alcohol services. She has specific experience in one-to-one sessions with service users and their family members, and of engaging with other services to ensure the wellbeing of service users.

She is the lead liaison when it comes to medication and the quality of care, meaning our clients are in very safe and capable hands.

Susan Goffin Job Title: Client Team Leader Joined: 2017

Susan Goffin’s journey into care started when she joined a nursing home in Beeston working weekends (when she was just 15 years old!) She soon left school and went to college where she studied for her NVQ level 2 in Business Administration and I.T. Susan found this unfulfilling and missed her responsibilities at the care home. Having enjoyed her work in care, Susan returned to work at a residential for 7 years.

Susan first started working in domiciliary after she had her first child in 2003. She worked there for a further 7 years where she gained experience in the community. Susan is a big promoter of care in the community as it allows vulnerable adults to remain as independent as possible, for longer.

Susan worked her way up to the Field Supervisor and then Care-Coordinator. She now works for Respectful Care as a Client Team Leader where she reviews our client’s care to make sure they are happy with what they receive. Susan has since reported that she loves working for Respectful Care as everyone within the company is so optimistic and encouraging. We encourage great teamwork alongside great friendships.

Upon her return to work after maternity leave, Kierra was introduced to the management team. With the company growing, and Kierra’s skills around people management, she was the perfect addition to our staff leader team. Kierra hopes to grow the company’s staff team by 30% by the end of 2022.
