Respectful Care Nottingham South have looked after my mum for 3 years. This has enabled her to stay in her own home much longer than we thought. The carers have been reliable and efficient but most importantly caring and kind. They have become her friends, they always make time to chat with her and brighten her day with their visits. She is treated with respect and dignity and goes over and above to ensure her needs are met.
The office staff have always been helpful and supportive making amendments to the care package to meet our requirements.

I highly recommend this company.

Respectful Care South looked after my mum, I think, from the beginning of August through to October.
I found everyone very professional and genuinely caring.
The carers would find time to chat with my mum and never missed an appointment.
My mum enjoyed their visits, and they made a big change to her quality of life. She became more coherent.

Thank you, girls.

My mum has been using Respectful Care for some time now, as did my late dad.
She has got to know her carers well and enjoys hearing the news of their families; they too take an interest in her and make her laugh. I know she is well cared for, which is very reassuring as I live an eight-hour drive away.
They adapt her care package according to her needs, and if she isn’t well, extra care is put in place.

The girls go over and above what is required and provide a truly professional service, always with a smile.

We have one half hour visit a week and additional sessions as required. Duties are mainly to do with household maintenance (eg. light housework), companionship and monitoring. This pattern has been established after about 18 months, initially visits were more frequent following a fall and spell in hospital.

'Respectful Care' does everything it says 'on the tin'. When my friend’s care package started in April, it seemed unlikely that she would be capable of staying at home on her own, but she has proved everyone wrong.
Your warmhearted, self-motivated and hardworking carers have brought a smile back to her face and they have helped her to come to terms with her changing care needs.

The responsiveness of your manager and out-of-hours team when large and small crises arise is brilliant. Everybody’s capable management of her continence issues has helped her to regain her self-respect and take control of things herself better. Several carers say they’re so pleased to see how much she enjoys the appetising meals they prepare, so it’s job satisfaction for them too! The assurance that they are managing her diet and fluid intake gives me peace of mind. My friend’s mental and physical health and whole quality of life has improved so much thanks to your care and support.

Respectful Care came highly recommended by health service professionals. I have used this company for over a year now and have been very happy with the service they provide. If a problem arises, it is quickly sorted out by the head of staff. The carers are all lovely, friendly and very supportive of my father, who is ninety with dementia. They treat my dad with respect, dignity and they have a good sense of humour at the same time. Professional, kind and patient.

All the carers are lovely! They are unfailingly kind, efficient, friendly and business-like. They all take an interest in my mother’s life and enjoy a chat, as well as getting all the necessary jobs done. No one is patronising or overbearing; they get the relationship between carer and client just right. They are obviously well-trained and are expected to work to a particular standard.

I first needed help when I had a fall and as a result, had restricted mobility. My family researched local care services which are local. To begin with I needed help with showering, hair washing etc and the variety of carers who came were generally caring.

Over recent weeks, I have gained mobility and am now able to go out with the use of a walking stick. I now have one main excellent carer who assists me with tasks I have difficulty with mainly because of my age (86).

After my partner left hospital I was so relieved to find Respectful Care. Respectful care have made a really positive difference to Mum's life in so many ways.
By providing a bespoke service Mum can get to medical appointments, have tea and cake out, visit exhibitions and choose and buy her own books. She sometimes goes in her wheelchair and sometimes walks with her stick but always with a friendly caring person from Respectful Care.
Other times it is enough to stay home for a chat and get help with personal care and housework. This helps the whole family because we know we can rely on Respectful.
Care to look after Mum in her own home when we can't be there for her.

Thank you you are real stars!

Respectful Care is definitely the best care company I have dealt with for the home care of my mother. Most carers are great, and my mother has become close to several of them.
One problem though is the lack of consistency with visiting carers and not adhering to the rota, which is quite confusing for my mother.

Management staff are professional and approachable and will help and advise with any problems that arise.

My parents have receiving help from Respectful Care now for the past 2-3 months. In that time, we have received a wonderful, caring service. All of the carers are really friendly and do a variety of things around the flat to help out, from helping with personal hygiene (showers etc), cleaning, shopping and companionship. Respectful Care were very easy to deal with and managed to set up a care package very quickly when I had been struggling to find any other care providers. Overall, they are excellent, and I would recommend them without a second thought.

Care is in Emma’s DNA. She was previously a District Nursing Sister. She was quickly promoted at a young age after gaining a degree in district nursing, and she became a specialist in leg and ulcer management and palliative care.

She has a passion for improving outcomes for clients and finds caring an extremely rewarding career. She loves to share her knowledge and expertise with the team, helping to keep clients at home and out of the hospital for as long as possible.

Emma has several qualifications but is especially proud of her Diploma in Adult Nursing, BSC (Hons) in District Nursing, and her NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Alix Brooks Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2016
Alix Brooks

Alix Brooks joined Respectful Care after a long career in the NHS, particularly working in the areas of mental health, drugs, and alcohol services. She has specific experience in one-to-one sessions with service users and their family members, and of engaging with other services to ensure the wellbeing of service users.

Alix has always wanted to make people’s lives better. She started her career by volunteering in health and social care, and this opened the door to working with the NHS.

After 15 years though, she felt she needed a fresh challenge - and that is when she came to Respectful Care. To begin with, Alix worked as a care and support worker, but she quickly became a staff mentor and then a Client Team Leader. However, with Alix’s organisation skills, she was quickly sought after for care-coordinating. Alix assures that our clients receive their required care at the preferred time and manner, whilst assessing our staff’s skill and competence to carry out the conditions.

Alix has an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, OCN Level 3 in mentoring skills, PTPLF Adult teaching, and she has several care-related certificates.

Susan Parkin Job Title: Client Team Leader Joined: 2016
Susan Parkin

Our Client Team Leader, Susan Parkin has been in the Health and Social care industry for over 20 years. She has worked for various domiciliary care companies, working at Respectful Care for the last quarter.

With Susan’s vast amount of experience in the sector, Susan first took to management as a Care Coordinator where she ensured that the service ran as smoothly as possible. She possesses an excellent approach with her staff and clients. Her methods surround consistent and thorough communication, making sure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the expected ‘Respectful Care’ standard.

Susan’s current role as Client Team Leader requires her to assess our client’s needs before their care package commences. Susan makes sure they are receiving the best possible care by reviewing the care plans regularly and continuously communicating with staff regarding any changes. She is the lead liaison when it comes to medication and the quality of care, meaning our clients are in very safe and capable hands.

Susan Goffin Job Title: Client Team Leader Joined: 2017
Susan Goffin

Susan Goffin’s journey into care started when she joined a nursing home in Beeston working weekends (when she was just 15 years old!) She soon left school and went to college where she studied for her NVQ level 2 in Business Administration and I.T. Susan found this unfulfilling and missed her responsibilities at the care home. Having enjoyed her work in care, Susan returned to work at a residential for 7 years.

Susan first started working in domiciliary after she had her first child in 2003. She worked there for a further 7 years where she gained experience in the community. Susan is a big promoter of care in the community as it allows vulnerable adults to remain as independent as possible, for longer.

Susan worked her way up to the Field Supervisor and then Care-Coordinator. She now works for Respectful Care as a Client Team Leader where she reviews our client’s care to make sure they are happy with what they receive. Susan has since reported that she loves working for Respectful Care as everyone within the company is so optimistic and encouraging. We encourage great teamwork alongside great friendships.

She was welcomed with open arms as a genuinely caring and compassionate person, willing to introduce herself to new clientele.

It wasn’t long until Kierra proved her ambitions by taking other carers under her wing. She was promoted to Mentor so that she could introduce new carers to the industry and share her passion for Health and Social Care.

Upon her return to work after maternity leave, Kierra was introduced to the management team. With the company growing, and Kierra’s skills around people management, she was the perfect addition to our staff leader team. Kierra hopes to grow the company’s staff team by 30% by the end of 2022.
