This agency has looked after my parents for some time now. During the last month, my parents in their 90s with rapidly failing health have been looked after above and beyond the call of duty. Their dedicated has been excellent, and I am so grateful for all they are doing.

My father in law was with Alcedo care for a short time and I can honestly say they were great for him and us. The office team were brilliant at tailoring his package to suit his needs, and the carers were great with him. I have used this company for a few years now for my Dad and have always been very pleased with them. They have been fantastic caring for my Dad during lockdown when I have been unable to enter his home due to his age and vulnerability. Whenever I have dropped shopping off for him the carers have been wearing masks, gloves and apron. There is one of the carers (who I would name if I was allowed) who goes above and beyond on his visits, he looks for things that need doing and manages to coax dad to have a shower - a challenging task! It’s my dads 88th birthday and he took the time to take a cake and sang Happy Birthday to him which was very thoughtful.

From the start I found Kare Plus administration department excellent, they talked me through the process with suggestions of what type of care and hours required. We agreed on 2 hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening including meals.
Once the holiday cover started the carers provided both my Mum and Dad with first class care treating them with utmost respect and dignity. My Dad told me before the care had started he didn't want carers coming into his home, due to previous bad experiences with carers.
The care that Kare Plus provided soon changed my Dad's mind. They never let us down and provided first class care and meals. We provide a menu and ingredients for the carer to cook.
I have arranged for regular cover each week to cover the full-time carers day off.

I found all Kare Plus Southport very caring, attentive, always ready to help, listen and assist whenever needed. They looked around for things to help without being told. Very clean and tidy in appearance, excellent training and the best care company.
Excellent, reliable care and service. Carers very helpful and caring. Very well run and responsive with good forward planning for care over bank holidays. Discuss any concerns appropriately whilst maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
My mum has always been reluctant to accept care in her home despite needing it long ago. She has been taken care of since May and I know I can speak for her and my family when I say she is being looked after extremely well. She now looks forward to the carers coming. They are thoughtful and kind and very helpful.
I have always found the care providers to be very professional but more that, my mum's individual carer is kind and patient and always put my mum needs first. She thinks outside the box and makes sure mum is well turned out every day and happy. All the carers that mum has been involved with are kind, thoughtful and patient with her.
An excellent service - each carer is so kind and considerate. Care is supportive, treated with dignity making life worthwhile. Sensitive to all my needs, honest and always cheerful and caring.
Everyone involved really accommodated for my dad, and the carers really helped to ease him back into living on his own again.
I would especially like to mention their manager, who was fantastic during Dads time with Kare Plus. Always happy to help and answer any questions. She went above and beyond and actually visited Dad on a weekend to go over his Care Plan and paperwork included. As a businessman, he was keen to read all involved and understand all details, and the manager’s patience was greatly appreciated at this time by both Dad and the family.
Would fully recommend to anyone who is looking for care in the area!
Over the 6 weeks, by Grandfather really enjoyed his carers visits and found them a great help and aided to raise his spirits. The office team and carers worked in synchronicity to accommodate my Grandfathers needs and requests.

Hi! My name is Laura Harrison, and I am the Operations Manager for Alcedo Care at the Southport Branch. I come from Liverpool and have spent a large amount of my working life in the Fitness and Security industry. After deciding I wanted to take a step away from the security sector, I decided to try my hand in the Care Industry.
After a long discussion, I could not have been more pleased to become a part of the Alcedo family!
It was very clear that Alcedo stood out from the rest, and now I will be completing my Level 5 to aid my progression in my new career! I cannot wait to gain more knowledge and experience within the Care Industry and see where it leads!
Hi, my name is Clint, I joined Alcedo Care due to the lockdown. I have spent most of my life working in hospitality, from managing Hotels to restaurants, so this was a big change for me coming into the healthcare industry, but I have really enjoyed the challenges and new opportunities this has given me and I wish I had made this transition sooner.
I have worked with Alcedo Care for around 3 years now and I have gained a wealth of experience whilst I have been here. I have been lucky to progress throughout various roles learning more as I go.

I was looking after many clients with end-stage dementia and it was in this home that I learnt a lot of my core care skills that I still use today.
