After phoning 13 agencies that could not help, Right at Home pulled out a minor miracle.
With 6 hours notice, they sent out their MD to carry out the assessment and complete the paperwork.
The carer arrived at the hotel 1 hour before the Christmas party started and assisted getting my wife ready.
Care
was excellent, and the carer was superb - a wonderful person.
Other agencies said, “we can’t because you need an assessment” where Right at Home just did it.
A fantastic response, and cooperation between the Reading office and the Maidenhead office which provided the staff.

From our office in the lovely Berkshire village of Twyford, Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District has a simple objective:   to deliver the best possible, high quality care & support for our clients, in order to make a real difference every day to their lives.


We have a fabulous team of CareGivers who are dedicated to ensuring that our clients can live safely and happily in their own homes, with the dignity and respect that they deserve.   We offer a premium service through a combination of recruiting, rewarding and retaining great staff, providing comprehensive training, and being sure to match our CareGivers to client interests and personalities.


Your CareGivers will be personally introduced to you, and given plenty of time to travel to your home.   We carefully schedule, to ensure that every care call is a minimum of one hour, so that we can maximise the value of the visit with the aim of improving, not just maintaining, your quality of life.  You, your family and your friends can relax knowing that you are in safe hands.


From our base in Twyford we provide support across our region, including Wokingham, Finchampstead, Aborfield, Shinfield, Woodley, Earley, Sonning, Charvil, Twyford,  Ruscombe, Hurst, Shurlock Row and Waltham St Lawrence.

Leisa has been working in care for more than 26 years and joined Right at Home soon after we opened our Twyford office, in early 2018, first as an outstanding CareGiver, then as our Quality Manager, and now as our highly respected Registered Care Manager.


Leisa has a level 5 QCF in Health and Social Care and is a specialist in working with clients living with Dementia. As a Dementia Champion, Leisa is also able to deliver Dementia Friends training on behalf of the Alzheimers Society, helping people in our community better understand how to support those living with dementia. Leisa is a member of the Right at Home UK Registered Managers Advisory Council, a small group of experienced RMs from across the country who work closely with the National Office Quality and Compliance experts to help develop best practices across the Right at Home network of offices.


In addition, Leisa leads the training for our CareGivers, including being a qualified trainer for Medication Administration and Basic Life Support Level 2 certification.


Leisa provides support and mentorship to our lovely CareGivers, helping us maintain the highest standards of care for all our clients, and that best practice is shared across the entire team.


As Registered Care Manager, Leisa has overall responsibility for our Care Team and ensuring that we meet and exceed the standards & regulations that the CQC mandate, and encourage our team of CareGivers to go the extra mile in support of our clients.


Like everyone at Right at Home, Leisa shares a passion for delivering the highest quality home care in the area and works tirelessly to do her bit in making sure we achieve that goal.
