Carers were very good, always there on time and looked after my mother-in-law well. They regularly updated the app on a daily basis which was helpful to keep us all informed on how she was doing and what she was up to.
We hope that 'our lady' is really happy for her new chapter. Best wishes from all of us.
Home Instead started caring for Nan mid August, when our family reached crisis point. After making my enquiry due to such excellent reviews, I was contacted promptly and a meeting was arranged at short notice. All of the staff based within the office are amazing! Professional yet very friendly. Home Instead went out of their way to accommodate our needs for an urgent meeting to discuss Nan’s needs/preferences. I was overly impressed by their approach to providing consistency with allocating a small team of caregivers to Nan, so that she never comes face to face with a stranger. Nan has 3 wonderful ladies that rotate daily visits and she looks forward to their visits every day! All 3 ladies were introduced to Nan gradually so that she felt comfortable knowing each lady before they arrived. Nan has nothing but praise for her “lovely ladies” as she calls them. The app is amazing! A way for me to keep up to date with Nan’s visits and a log of all activities. Thank you, Home Instead.
Thank you so much, this review is lovely and I have passed on your kind words to her three caregivers. Your nan is an absolute delight and a pleasure to support.
One of the great thing about Home Instead is that they will only send the same few carers so that my dad and I are able to get to know them although my dad does not remember their names he does remember faces enabling him to build a nice friendly rapport with the girls and also with myself.
Unfortunately this year I sadly lost my partner, we had been together for over 30 years and Home Instead were also able to help me with support during this time. I too would very highly recommend Home Instead as a very caring company that always seem to go that extra mile for their clients and their families
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We are always here for you and your father and appreciate the lovely feedback which we will share with your father's small team of caregiver's.
The service Home Instead provide is excellent the carers are kind and friendly with my parents who both have forms of dementia. The same small team visit my parents and this helps enormously with familiarity and consistency of care; I get feedback on each visit via an app, so I know if there are any issues.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. The app has been an amazing addition to our service to keep families and loved ones up to date with everything.
Since Home Instead took over care for my Dad I feel a weight has been taken off my shoulders. My Dad looks forward to them coming round. The team are so caring and helpful. Always nice to read the visit reports on the app. Would recommend them to anyone.
They make it possible for Mother to remain in her home. Without them, this would not a workable option.
I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.
Very understanding and have very caring members of staff who really care and know how to treat their patients! Easy to contact and useful app to help track what has been done on a visit. Would recommend!
I found Home Instead during a difficult transition period with my parents, who were struggling with their self-care at home. My father suffers from end-stage heart disease and my mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, which threw their world into disarray. The social care that was visiting their home was not sufficient and they were having a hard time grasping the concept of a caring relationship. Thanks to Home Instead, we were able to change that dynamic. A team of experienced, professional carers has worked closely to form a therapeutic relationship with both parents and within a fortnight they have learned to understand and appreciate the daily visiting support they now have in their home. I am eternally grateful to Home Instead and would not hesitate to recommend them as an ideal agency to any household.
Thank you for your review - This is so lovely to hear! We love being able to support couples to remain in their own home together. Your parents are both wonderful and I know their CAREGiver's love visiting everyday.
The carers are hardworking, kind and compassionate. They provide excellent support enabling Dad to remain as independent as possible. Dad trusts, feels safe and comfortable with his carers. They respond to Dads needs and are flexible to his changing needs or how he is feeling. The management team seek feedback and go out of their way to plan and accommodate any changes in Dads needs. Although reluctant to receive care initially he would now be lost without his carers.
Thank you! I am so pleased with how your father's care package has developed and that he has such a good relationship with his small team. He is a joy to visit!
We employed Home Instead (Northampton) after recommendation from a friend. From the initial conversations with the managers we were impressed by the professionalism of all the staff, both management and carers. My husband is receiving palliative care at home and requires constant care throughout the night and a great deal of help during the daytime. The carers show compassion and competence in dealing with all his personal needs, including toileting which is most difficult. Also, they offer me assistance with general household duties such as cleaning, window cleaning and meals. Apart from the physical help, the social aspect of the care visits is invaluable, particularly in these times of Covid-19. The overnight care sitter is simply wonderful, enabling me to sleep in confidence that my husband is looked after. Everyone is trustworthy, caring and compassionate. Home Instead (Northampton) have made our situation so much more comfortable in every way.
We are very pleased with the care my mother-in-law receives from Home Instead (Northampton). The lovely carers are always on time and are cheerful and friendly. My mother-in-law looks forward to seeing them and they certainly brighten up her day. We feel safe knowing that she is well looked after and this is helping us to keep her in her own home. Would certainly recommend Home Instead (Northampton).
I can't speak highly enough of Home Instead (Northampton). Every single member of staff is friendly, professional, always punctual and caring. The caregivers give Mum her medication which is complex. They take her shopping, cook meals, do all household tasks and even top up the bird feeder and plant bulbs. Nothing is too much trouble. They are very flexible, arranging extra visits to take Mum to medical appointments. Their service has remained totally reliable and uninterrupted during the pandemic which must have been a very difficult time for them. They have far exceeded my expectations. Here's a typical example. About a month ago a caregiver spotted that the pharmacy had sent the wrong medication, an ordinary agency might have asked me to sort it out. Instead, they contacted the pharmacy directly, sorted it out and sent a member of staff to collect the correct medication, keeping me informed all the way. In short, they allow Mum to stay in her own home and keep my mind at rest.
2 years ago a registered blind friend had Home Instead carers who were so caring that they were more like family. When my neighbour, who had no family and whose mobility was severely limited following strokes, needed professional care which I could not give I had no hesitation in recommending Home Instead. Their named carers were friendly, punctual, knowledgeable and often went beyond a basic 'job'. Home Instead enabled my friend to remain in his own home ensuring that he ate properly and took his medication at the right times. There were occasions when 999 help was needed and his carers would ensure paramedics had the full information. Both the managers and the carers kept me fully informed at all times and it is no exaggeration to say that all at Home Instead treated both my friend and I as though we were part of one large family. Home Instead may not be the cheapest carers but quality of care and enabling someone to remain happy in their own home are more important than money.
Thank you for your kind review. We always try to work in a way which includes families and friends and it means a lot to us that we all work together to give our clients the best possible care and support.
Home Instead (Northampton) has provided care-givers three mornings a week for just over three months, helping my 93-year-old mother with shower needs and dressing. The two ladies who attend are always the same team and arrive promptly every time. They are kind, patient, friendly and professional in all aspects of their work. Managers check records and read visit summaries carefully; they also carry out regular reviews with the client. This is an efficient local organisation and we are very pleased with all aspects of the service. Highly recommended.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review, all feedback is important to us and I am pleased that your mother has settled in well with her new support.
I was told by a different carer that Home Instead were expensive, but then she followed up that comment by saying that they were the best in the area. I don't think that they are particularly expensive, but clearly not the cheapest. I also don't know if they are the best in the area but they provide an excellent service to my mum.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am pleased to hear your mother receives an excellent service from us. It is a pleasure to support her to remain in her own home.
Since we started using Home Instead have experienced an extremely professional service from all the office staff and can't praise the ladies enough that visit mum. We feel safe in the knowledge that mum is safe and well looked after in her own home, which is a great comfort for us, thank you Home Instead.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am pleased to hear you have been happy with the service provided to your mother.
Their Carers are kind, caring and extremely patient.
As a team, they work superbly together and make you truly believe they care and have their client's best interest at heart. There is no weak link, all are outstanding at their roles.
Thank you for your review. It means a lot to us that we uphold a high level of service and that all of our clients are treated as individuals.
It was always going to be a decision between home care or a nursing home, and due to how the situation has turned out with Covid over the past 12 months - we are very pleased that we decided to leave mum in her own home which she knows and is used to all her possessions around her and is safe.
Without the help of Home Instead at the time (set up November 2019) the situation would have become very difficult for both mum and us as we live so far away.
Mum is happy to be in her own home. She relies on Home Instead and they, in turn, keep an eye on her.
There have been two occasions where an ambulance has been called as mum was ill, but on both times we have been happy to leave this in the hands of the carer including fetching prescriptions. We are confident of mum's care with Home Instead. Well done!
Thank you for your kinds words. It is a pleasure to care for such a lovely lady.
Home Instead carers are like having your own family member to look after your parents. We have had a great experience with all the carers that look after dad - they treat him as though he is their parent or grandparent. Whenever there is a need to speak about the care dad is receiving (changes to things he needs or other feedback as required) the administration of the company is second to none. I cannot recommend this group of people highly enough and if I ever needed care provided in the future I would hope to get something similar. They are just great - thank you to every single person there.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
He is a very proud man and doesn't accept help very easily and the team of caregivers have worked with him at his pace and have gained his confidence over the weeks and have persisted with their efforts to get him to eat.
The caregivers have gone above and beyond what you would expect from a home care worker - I believe their policy of providing care in one hour slots enables them to take a less rushed approach and build a relationship.
The agency shares information about each visit via an app and this is reassuring to read which care plan goals were met for each visit. They are not the cheapest care agency in the area, but I feel that the quality of the care and support the carers provide, their thoroughness and their genuine and caring nature is worth the additional cost.
Thank you for your kind words. I am pleased to hear you are happy with the service we provide to your father.

Meet the Team (5)
I have a Level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care and am completing a Level 5 in General Management.
My name is Emma Bennett, I have 32 years of experience working as a nurse in the NHS. I have worked for Home Instead since 2018, which means I have 36 years experience of working with people across all age groups.
I now work with the Care Professional Team at Home Instead where I share the role of training and the development of our Care Professionals and key players. This includes supporting them with their inductions and then ongoing support and training. My main role is ensuring and maintaining compliance with Care Professional development and mandatory training, to both Home Instead and CQC standards.
Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.
I have been in healthcare for 18 years and have loved every minute of it. I have worked with children, young adults, and the elderly, all within Care Homes and Domiciliary settings.
I started work in Domiciliary care as a Carer, upon returning from maternity leave I was promoted to a Senior. I later progressed to being a Trainer, Scheduler, Deputy Manager and now Recruitment Manager with Home Instead.
I have only been at Home instead for just over a year and everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, being outdoors and plenty of movie nights.
My name is Charlee Kaye. I have worked in the Care Sector for 8 years, where I have worked for Home Instead for most of this time. I am a part of the Client Experience team at Home Instead Northampton, where I ensure our client’s experience with Home Instead is what they want. This may be from completing reviews with our clients, attending client visits and supporting Clients and Care Professionals with their needs on a day-to-day basis.
I have always lived in Northampton, where I have raised my family. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy going on holidays, attending social events, and living life to the full. Before joining Home Instead, I trained to become a hairdresser and spent 10 years in a salon. This has given me lots of experience in communicating with clients and understanding their needs.
