After a month or two, they got Dad into a routine, got his personal welfare on track, diet, housekeeping, fresh clothes daily, and with the comfort of having his dog by his side to keep him company, and other relatives could now visit Dad with a purpose to check he is ok and comfortable, rather than fixing the everyday problems Dad couldn't manage.
With COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, Dad recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, and living in lockdown overseas, and not able to get back to the UK to visit Dad for a long time now, trying to administer all of Dad's affairs has only been possible due to the fantastic carers and team.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's a pleasure to support your father to retain his independence in what is an exceptionally difficult time. We appreciate your emails and communication and are always here should you need us! Best Wishes, Kelly
From the initial assessment to the daily visits, my mother and stepfather have found the staff to be professional, efficient and friendly, as have I. They are prompt, courteous and flexible, willing to adapt to the situation that they find on arrival - even during the current lockdown - and all done with a smile. They may be a little more expensive than other care agencies, but they are worth their weight in gold!
Thank you very much. It is a pleasure to support your parents. Kelly
The whole team did their utmost for the care plan to start at the earliest date possible and it has been operating smoothly ever since.
I particularly liked that a small team of 3 to 4 carers was handpicked by the Deputy Care Manager which ensured the comfort of familiar faces.
After one month of being in place, my Mum was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a terminal illness. Home Instead reacted instantly and adapted to the changing needs perfectly. They were flexible enough to alternate the care between my Dad when my Mum, registering him as a new client in the process, and then back to my Mum when she was discharged.
From my experience, I highly recommend Home Instead.
Thank you for this wonderful review. It is always a privilege to support a client on their 'final journey' and all of the team were very happy to be able to do this for your mother. It's also so nice that we have been able to continue support for your father and to give him the continuity he...

Meet the Team (5)
I have a Level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care and am completing a Level 5 in General Management.
My name is Emma Bennett, I have 32 years of experience working as a nurse in the NHS. I have worked for Home Instead since 2018, which means I have 36 years experience of working with people across all age groups.
I now work with the Care Professional Team at Home Instead where I share the role of training and the development of our Care Professionals and key players. This includes supporting them with their inductions and then ongoing support and training. My main role is ensuring and maintaining compliance with Care Professional development and mandatory training, to both Home Instead and CQC standards.
Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.
I have been in healthcare for 18 years and have loved every minute of it. I have worked with children, young adults, and the elderly, all within Care Homes and Domiciliary settings.
I started work in Domiciliary care as a Carer, upon returning from maternity leave I was promoted to a Senior. I later progressed to being a Trainer, Scheduler, Deputy Manager and now Recruitment Manager with Home Instead.
I have only been at Home instead for just over a year and everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, being outdoors and plenty of movie nights.
My name is Charlee Kaye. I have worked in the Care Sector for 8 years, where I have worked for Home Instead for most of this time. I am a part of the Client Experience team at Home Instead Northampton, where I ensure our client’s experience with Home Instead is what they want. This may be from completing reviews with our clients, attending client visits and supporting Clients and Care Professionals with their needs on a day-to-day basis.
I have always lived in Northampton, where I have raised my family. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy going on holidays, attending social events, and living life to the full. Before joining Home Instead, I trained to become a hairdresser and spent 10 years in a salon. This has given me lots of experience in communicating with clients and understanding their needs.
