Alcedo Care Blackpool

Alcedo provides care to my 96-year-old father, who lives on his own. We have a detailed care plan in place and I can check that his needs have been met. As his needs evolve, the management are flexible and innovative in providing and increasing his support. The mechanics of the support management are excellent. Fundamentally, care depends on the quality of carers. The team supporting my father have to know him and their care for him is exemplary. He is treated with dignity and provided with love. I feel confident that my Dad is going to get the support he needs to live independently for as long as possible.

The carers are very supportive and friendly. They are very patient and no job is hard for them. They support me with washing and dressing my top half due to a shoulder operation in January. They wash my hair, assist with my shower, change my bed for me and do other jobs I cannot do myself. At the moment they have a staff shortage due to holidays and sickness, so the times are various at the moment, but otherwise very good service. I would also like to thank the office staff too.

The carers sent to look after my wife was always on time, had a pleasant attitude, and were very attentive to her needs. Very willing to do anything to make her more at home.

The care given by the team was beyond amazing. How they calmed my nan on her bad days. The peace of mind they gave the family knowing she is being looked after to the highest standard and she also had a smile on her face when they had been around. The support given while my grandad was in hospital, I can't give them thanks enough.

I have my own business and hear of problems with some care companies so I was very worried about bringing carers in. But I'm very happy with my choice of Alcedo as my mum is my priority and I'm confident Mum is in good hands.

The office staff are brilliant, always there to help and to answer questions.

I had a holiday in Blackpool and whilst I was there Alcedo Care Blackpool branch took fantastic care of me. They came to my hotel twice every day to assist me, at the times I requested. The carers were friendly caring and very professional and the office staff could not do more for me. I would recommend Alcedo Care to everyone.

The carers from Alcedo Care Blackpool have been absolutely outstanding even more so as my husband is a 'complex case'. The carers are always on time, they are very efficient and caring towards me also. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for my husband and also the help and respect to me. It is nice to know that my husband is in very good hands and I don't have to worry about his wellbeing. Alcedo carers are beyond outstanding. We are very lucky to have them.

Finally, I just wanted to say a great big thank you for all the care Alcedo carers gave my mum. It was hard the first few weeks to let people who I didn't know come into my mum's home to care for her as no one you think can do it like you. How wrong was I? For 8 months we worked together doing the best we could helping mum, I got to the point where I trusted them and I stepped back. Alcedo Care were amazing and looked to mum in the best way possible in every situation. They all became part of the family their understanding, tolerance when she was having a bad day, the laughter when she was on form. They always were there for me when I was upset and needed to talk. We got her from not being able to walk to walking with her frame again, it was a long haul but we did it, that's all she wanted. She was determined and a fighter. That dreaded time came for her to be reunited with my dad. So it was time for Alcedo Care to move on and I must honestly say I miss them all. Once again, thank you.

We have been very pleased with the care provided to us. It is very good having the same person each time.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone. The carers are of the highest professional standard. The care is consistently high and the attitude towards me has consistently been one of dignity and respect. Each shift brings differently varied challenges for the staff and each member of the team meets those challenges and deals with each episode appropriately. They are always cheerful and their attitude is upbeat and positive. When they leave I feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed looking forward to their next visit.

Very pleasant - most are extremely helpful and caring. My partner loves the emotions from the carers, and nothing is too much trouble. They are now part of the family.

My grandmother was looked after by Alcedo, she had MS and was disabled, so she had very specific needs. The Field Care Supervisor and the whole team gave her excellent care and truly went above and beyond to brighten her day with many personal touches. She has sadly passed away now, and some of her carers even attended her funeral. I am beyond grateful for the care she received in her final few years, thank you!
