I have been with Alcedo now for over a month with the complex team who have supported my recovery all the way. The team of carers are amazing and support me with my daily activities and goes above and beyond. It’s great having nurses on hand to support the team with my condition. Myself and my wife are always treated with dignity and respect. All issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
Thank you Chris for your great feedback! We are all delighted to hear that the service we provide is meeting your needs. Kind regards Rosie and the team.
Alcedo started caring for Mum at short notice after her discharge from an extended stay in hospital due to Covid. I'm really happy with the attention to detail in setting up the care plan and with the way that it's been implemented so far. Mum typically hates change but has quickly become at ease with the team of carers. The level of detail provided by the carers in the app keeps the family well informed and is very reassuring to us, particularly when we're unable to see Mum for a few days. Now that the initial trial period has come to an end, we are very happy to have confirmed ongoing care with Alcedo for the foreseeable future. Thank you!
Thank you for such a great review, it really is appreciated!
All Alcedo Care workers make Dad feel comfortable and at home. They all carry out their duties with care and a very high standard of professionalism. I would highly recommend Alcedo Care.
Thank you for such a great review. We are pleased you are happy with our service.
What can I say about this company? My elderly Mum (91) was terminally ill and given weeks/months to live in December 2021. Her wishes were to stay in the family home, and subsequently, I made sure this happened. Mum initially didn't want any people coming in, but in the end it was necessary. All the lovely staff that dealt with my Mum, really are a credit to the company. Their professional manner, and compassion at such a tough time for Mum, was second to none. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Mum took a particular shine to 2 members of staff in particular, who both went above and beyond their duties. Sadly Mum passed in April, but without Alcedo Care, I would have been lost in the end. You provided peace of mind, not just for me, but for all Mum's family. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I would wholeheartedly recommend your company to anyone that is looking for a top-level care company.
Thank you for such a lovely review. It was our privilege to have cared for your Mum.
Overall, the carers we have had have been second to none, always going above and beyond to help my parents. In fact, one carer actually saved my mum's life on two occasions. The manager appears to have everything running like clockwork.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased your parents are happy with our service.
Excellent service from all staff. My husband is treated with dignity and care. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and we are treated like a member of the family. I would thoroughly recommend Alcedo Care, the staff go above and beyond to assist us as much as they can.
Thank you for your great review, Gail. I will pass your comments on to the team!
The care I receive is excellent. They are always professional at all times and always putting me at ease. Any problems that arise they always let my son know who sorts it out. They really do an excellent job on each visit.
Kind Regards
Vickie

My husband and I are very satisfied with the care and help we receive from Alcedo. The carers are also our friends now and any problems we have they are willing to sit and listen, being house-bound more or less, this is a great comfort. Being both poorly it's nice to be in our own home and knowing there will be someone calling on us and reporting should we need you. Thank you very much.
All the carers have bonded with Dad and genuinely seem to care about his wellbeing. They are helpful and kind, they are observant of any changes in Dad's welfare. They are always cheerful and brighten up Dad's day, they are a breath of fresh air. As we live in Manchester, it is hard to put your trust in others to look after your loved ones, but we have faith that the carers have Dad's best interests at heart.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. Kind regards.
The carers visit my mother daily, they are always polite and according to my mum they are 'like one of the family'. They carry out all tasks as required, are always smart, and have good communication skills.
Thank you so much for your lovely response. Kind regards, Vickie.
My carers always support me with all my everyday needs, they assist me with my cleaning and social support and I love and enjoy the company of the carers.
Thank you so much for your lovely response. Kind regards, Vickie.
Our family have no idea how Dad would manage both physically and psychologically without the excellent care and support from his dedicated carers. He frequently tells us how ‘amazing and kind’ they all are. On any occasion we contact the office our calls are answered promptly and any enquiry or request dealt with efficiently and professionally. Words cannot express our sincerest thanks.
Thank you for your lovely response. Kind regards, Victoria.
The carers are friendly and do an excellent job of looking after my dad on every visit, always polite and treating him with dignity, can't do enough for him. They are always talking to him and laughing with him on every visit which is great to see, I would highly recommend them.
Thank you Colin for your lovely response, it is a pleasure. Kind regards, Vickie.
Alcedo care has been there for me since June 2021, they have helped me deal with my condition and have also supported my family. Nothing is too small for the carers and they go above and beyond. They have supported me to make the most of the time I have left. They also have the best night staff! Professional but family feel.
Thank You so much for your lovely response. Kind Regards
When Dad came home from hospital, he was really apprehensive for the Carers to come. He had no need to worry as, on the very first visit, angels in blue arrived in the form of two truly wonderful members of staff. All the care Dad received was of a high and professional standard. We also want to send special thanks to two other members of staff in particular. Their care and empathy shone through. Thank you once again to all you lovely people. Carry on doing what you do because what you do really makes a difference to all involved.
Carers are good at timekeeping.
Excellent service for when I was discharged from hospital package put into place very quickly. Emergency visits were put into place very quickly and efficiently.
Kind Regards
Vickie

Meet the Team (4)
Hi, my name is Faye, and I am the Operations Manager for Alcedo Care Blackpool.
I'm Andrea, the Area Manager for Alcedo in Lancaster and Blackpool, with over 10 years of experience in all aspects of care. I started with Alcedo in December 2022 as a Coordinator for the agency side of the business, progressed to Care Manager in Blackpool, and now proudly oversee both areas in my current role.
Originally from Gibraltar, I began my career in care working in a children’s home, supporting families through a 12-week programme designed to help parents reunite with their children. After moving to the UK in 2015, I spent some time in insurance management before returning to care following maternity leave, and I haven’t looked back since.
I’ve truly found my niche in this sector. I love what I do and feel privileged to work with such a committed and compassionate team. Our clients and staff are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m passionate about maintaining the high standards Alcedo is known for.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me enjoying days out with my husband and our three children, or relaxing with a good Netflix series.
My name is Michaela and I’m the Deputy Manager for Alcedo Care Blackpool.
This is an industry that is new to me but I felt right at home as soon as I began my work out in the community.
I love to help people and love listening to people's stories and tales of their lives.
I began to think about my future development and looked into becoming an ambassador for my area but then I got an opportunity to join the fantastic office team and become a care coordinator so that I can continue to help and assist with clients' care packages and needs from behind the scenes.
My new role has me facing a lot of challenges daily but I have a lot of support and help from everyone in the office so that we can overcome obstacles as a team.
I have since been promoted to deputy manager and I am so proud to be a part of the management team.
My animals mean the world to me and they always manage to comfort me when I need it. I love to travel and always look forward to my next break away whether it is UK or international.
My name is Natalie and I am the Care Coordinator at Alcedo Care Blackpool. My role involves allocating our care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, and aligning them to our client’s needs.
