Our family have no idea how Dad would manage both physically and psychologically without the excellent care and support from his dedicated carers. He frequently tells us how ‘amazing and kind’ they all are. On any occasion we contact the office our calls are answered promptly and any enquiry or request dealt with efficiently and professionally. Words cannot express our sincerest thanks.

The carers are friendly and do an excellent job of looking after my dad on every visit, always polite and treating him with dignity, can't do enough for him. They are always talking to him and laughing with him on every visit which is great to see, I would highly recommend them.

Alcedo care has been there for me since June 2021, they have helped me deal with my condition and have also supported my family. Nothing is too small for the carers and they go above and beyond. They have supported me to make the most of the time I have left. They also have the best night staff! Professional but family feel.

When Dad came home from hospital, he was really apprehensive for the Carers to come. He had no need to worry as, on the very first visit, angels in blue arrived in the form of two truly wonderful members of staff. All the care Dad received was of a high and professional standard. We also want to send special thanks to two other members of staff in particular. Their care and empathy shone through. Thank you once again to all you lovely people. Carry on doing what you do because what you do really makes a difference to all involved.

Excellent service for when I was discharged from hospital package put into place very quickly. Emergency visits were put into place very quickly and efficiently.

Alcedo care has been there for me over the last 12 months. The carers are kind, friendly, caring and compassionate. They are also very respectful. They have helped me maintain my normal way of life which I am so grateful for. I couldn’t recommend this company enough.

A fantastic service. Was amazed at how fast they were to react and assist with our needs. The impact of having a daily visit has helped improve morale and provided some respite for the whole family. Knowing that we can lean on Alcedo for more support removes a huge burden.

Words cannot describe the reassurance it gave me personally, and which enabled him to die at home as he wished. Your carers never failed to turn up 4 times a day and the and the care they provided was professional and always carried out with good humour.

When my mother was widowed and needed a little help to remain in her own home the Alcedo staff stepped in. The staff were so lovely with mum and always chatted whilst helping her with not only personal care but help around the home. She looked forward to their visits which after having had initial resistance to 'strangers' coming into her home was a real turn up for the books! As mum's health declined and end-of-life care was required, I didn't expect the care and support to be extended to the whole family. They helped in all manner of ways, practical, advice, moral support. All the staff both on the ground and in the office go above and beyond every single day. I would not hesitate to recommend Alcedo to others.

The whole team at Alcedo Care took such amazing care of my mum. They all arrived with a smile and always acted very professionally all whilst maintaining my mum's dignity. The carers really helped my mum to feel relaxed by being chatty and light-hearted during their visits. There is no greater comfort for the family than hearing your loved one having a laugh and a joke with the carers who are in your home. I would highly recommend Alcedo Care.

I would say that most of the carers have been very pleasant and easy to talk to, I haven't met all of the carers yet. Some go out of their way to be extremely helpful. I would recommend one carer in particular to anyone, he is a very helpful, caring, and lovely person who has made a big difference to help my Auntie settle back in her own surroundings.

Alcedo Care staff showed compassion towards my mother and gave her dignity on her final journey, and for their support given to me.

I am very happy with the care Mum receives on her visits. She is happy and likes to chat with them.

Never missed a visit to date and give me welcome relief to know my mum is being cared for when I am unavailable. They always try to ensure my mum is treated with respect and dignity which is important to her.

Mum came to live with me and my family following a cancer diagnosis. Her wishes were for end-of-life care provided by her family, a hospice team, and other health and social care practitioners. Alcedo carers played a vital role in supporting both mum and my family. Her final weeks were happy and as comfortable as could be expected. The empathy and kindness carers demonstrated in every visit made a difference to us all, especially mum. Thank you.

I cannot speak too highly about Alcedo Care Lancaster & Wyres care for my mother during her rehabilitation from a spinal compression injury. From the introductory visit (sensitive, respectful, comprehensive, unrushed, unpushy) through to the consistently high quality of care offered by all carers on a daily basis, my mother has felt supported and encouraged to make excellent progress. To such an extent that she has been able, progressively, to reduce the frequency of care visits. More than this, the carers' interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence have had a profound impact on my mother's psychological state and sense of wellbeing. From previous experience, we went from nervously expecting some deterioration after a promising start, we wondered if punctuality and bedside manner might drop over time, but our fears have been entirely misplaced. In our opinion, Alcedo should be seen as the gold standard from which all care provision should be measured.

I am a nurse working for the NHS so am aware of standards required in providing good care to people. My mother who recently turned 90, fractured her spine and also ended up with major depression. She needed continued support in her recovery once the NHS support ended. This is where Alcedo Care Lancaster & Wyre have been invaluable. Our family and mother (most importantly) have found every single carer to have been very professional, friendly, helpful, and punctual in assisting my mother in making a dignified and growing recovery. A huge weight off my shoulders knowing she was happy as I still work full time and don't live in Lancaster. The management team did a very thorough initial assessment and have been readily available throughout to make any adjustments required to her care. Well done team Alcedo - extremely grateful for your services. Highly recommended.

My dad is bed-bound, on oxygen, and on an end-of-life pathway. The staff at Alcedo are all extremely professional, caring, and friendly. They treat my dad with the dignity and respect he deserves, he having been a true gentleman all his life. I am currently living with him and my Mum, who has dementia, and the staff are caring of me too, always willing to lend a hand with Mum in times of need. I have found the management team always very accommodating of our personal needs. I don't know how I would manage without the support of Alcedo Care, and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you.
