Overall Experience

The two live-in carers looking after my mum were amazing! They were professional but fun and knew how to care for Mum but still make her laugh.
All her needs were met and in fact, the carers went above and beyond in terms of pressure care management, swallow problem management, and end-of-life care.
They

were supportive both to my mum and me, especially during the last week of her life. Mouth care and skin care were done with such kindness.
External professionals coming in from the doctor's surgery, district nursing and hospice care all commented on how well Mum was being cared for, and that she was the best cared-for client they'd seen.
They fit into the house/family very well and worked so well as a team. It made the experience so nice, when in fact it can be difficult to open up your home to people you've never met, during a time that can be very stressful and upsetting.
I cannot thank them enough for the support they showed both to my mum and me.

Overall Experience

I cannot thank Unique Senior Care enough for basically enabling me to be a daughter again and not my father's carer.
From the very first meeting with the area manager, we felt she really understood what we needed for my father to enable him to stay in his own home. The company has matched him brilliantly

with 2 lovely ladies, at 90 my dad is quite set in his ways and the ladies very quickly adapted to meet his needs in a way which helped him maintain some control, he can be stubborn and sometimes needs persuading that he needs to let someone assist him to avoid further accidents. The two carers have become part of the family so quickly and they always update me daily either by text or a call. I have been under enormous strain working all hours, worrying about Dad when I wasn't visiting him and now I have peace of mind and can actually spend quality time with him rather than rushing around the flat organising things. Thank you.

Overall Experience

We used Unique to assist my wife with personal care from June 2023 until the end of May 2024, initially in the mornings, but ultimately for care in the evening too.
We found the care staff to be reliable and professional.
They were generally punctual, but we were always forewarned if they were going

to be late, or could not attend.

Overall Experience

Within a week of contacting Unique Care a manager had assessed my mum's needs in hospital, I had spoken to the carer on the phone to reassure myself and live-in care had started at home following discharge from hospital. This was particularly impressive as there was a bank holiday weekend within that

week. The carers have been very kind and flexible to Mum's needs with a super sense of humour which really helps when settling into a new routine. The office ensures I am contacted about arrangements and the carers appear well supported with online care and medication plans and visits from two care managers within the first week of the service.

Overall Experience

I contacted Unique as my mum was discharged from hospital just 3 days before I was due to go on holiday. The manager visited Mum at home the morning after discharge for a full assessment and arranged for a carer to start 2 days later at the times Mum had requested. It was the same carer each day for

continuity which was very reassuring for Mum and gave me peace of mind as they got to know each other well over the week and the carer was able to adapt the support to Mum's needs each day. I cannot fault the care Mum received. It was a seamless experience at a stressful time and we would not hesitate to use Unique again.

Overall Experience

Mum has been with Unique Senior Care for several years and her needs have increased over that time. The care from Unique has always been very good indeed, they try very hard to find carers who Mum can relate to and to keep those carers consistent. Unique listen to Mum’s concerns when they arise and

try to respond sensitively and speedily. Mum has just had a hospital stay and is returning home soon and the lady from Unique has visited Mum in hospital to establish her needs and ensure that her return home will be as smooth as possible. I am grateful for all the care and kindness that the Unique carers give Mum

Overall Experience

I have had 3 live in carers and they have been very helpful and professional in taking care of me. They are all extremely good cooks so I have no complaints about the excellent food they are providing for me.
Apart from looking after me, they keep the house spotlessly clean. They do all the washing

and ironing of my clothes so I always have clean clothes to wear when going out. I just cannot praise them enough.
Full marks to Unique for providing and training the most wonderful carers.

Overall Experience

After a brief stay in hospital my father needed full-time care. Unique Senior Care were really supportive and helpful and quick in getting this sorted out for us. The manager was great with my dad on the initial visit and helped him understand what was happening. We had two carers on a two-week rotation

and both of them treated my father with respect and were very patient with him. He loved their cooking! It would have been easier if both had transport to take my dad out on trips. We can't fault the service we received.

Overall Experience

Unique have been absolutely wonderful for my mother. They arranged carers to suit my mum's personality who were attentive and kind. They have taken my mum out on shopping trips, coffee shops and garden nurseries as per Mum's request, always being mindful of her needs.
They have given us peace of mind

that Mum was being given companionship whilst we sorted out the logistics of her care.
I feel Unique have always put my Mum before profit and her care has been paramount to them. With kind words given when she ended up in hospital.
Most importantly we have felt at all times that they cared.

In the relatively short time my aunt's main carer has been visiting my 93-year-old aunt with Alzheimer's/progressive vascular dementia, she has built a delightful relationship with her. Overall Experience

I have had Unique carers for almost two years and always found them to be kind, caring, thoughtful, on time and willing to do extra jobs around the house. They take special care of my personal needs and care as I am wheelchair-bound now after a leg amputation. I would recommend them above any other

agencies I have had, although there have been staffing issues/problems at times. They endeavour to send someone who I know. I feel very lucky to be able to have Unique Care.

Overall Experience

Unique Senior Care were a lifeline when my mother was taken into hospital and no longer able to be the primary carer for my father. They sent out staff to help morning and evening at incredibly short notice, including while both my parents had Covid. I have nothing but praise for the excellent care

my father continues to receive. His primary carer from Unique Senior Care is nothing short of outstanding. She brings laughter and fun into their home and they look forward to seeing her and chatting with her. She is incredibly caring and goes above and beyond, more like a friend or family member than someone paid to do a job.

From the very first phone call I made to Unique Senior Care, I have been extremely impressed at their professionalism, consideration and genuine care they have given firstly to myself but mainly the care they give to my uncle. The carers that go to my uncle are absolutely outstanding with how they interact

Overall Experience

We used the home care service from Unique during 2021/2022 for my elderly parents, allowing them to remain independent in their own bungalow. Aged 95, my father's health deteriorated significantly, requiring nursing dementia care in a nursing home. We continued with Unique to handle my mother's personal

care until she too decided to go to live in a care home. We found the service received to be punctual, reliable, safe and caring. One particular carer cooked dinners for Mum, which she really enjoyed. All carers were attentive, one effectively handling an emergency call when Mum had a fall. Communications are efficient and we enjoyed a good relationship with the management and office staff. Thank you to all at Unique who cared for both my parents and for the kind support you offered during a difficult time for our family.

Overall Experience

Unique Care have been outstanding from the moment I contacted them for information right up to each and every visit to care for my mum. Her carer has been extremely helpful and is always cheerful and positive. In addition, her supervisor is working hard behind the scenes to sort out a few mobility aids

and additional medication.
I would highly recommend using Unique Care.

Overall Experience

We were looking for live-in care for my mother and were delighted to find Unique Senior Care. From the first conversation on the phone to subsequent communications, I have found the staff to be incredibly helpful, friendly, understanding and clear in terms of the service provided. Our first meeting

with the live-in care manager was a lovely experience and helped to reassure my mum about arrangements.
Most importantly, having just finished the first two weeks of live-in care, we could not have asked for more from a caregiver, who has taken wonderful care of my mum, cooking her nutritious meals, making sure she is clean, comfortable and safe and providing excellent company. It feels such a relief to know that my mum is in good hands while also able to stay in her home. Thank you, Unique Senior Care.
