I have been using Unique since January for my mum and have always found them to be faultless. Are always on time and work in a very professional but friendly way. I have used Unique Care twice, the first time for a week of "live in care" and recently to help my husband in the last week of his life. On both occasions the response of management cannot be faulted and the carers have all been prompt, efficient, respectful and caring. I've found the office and care staff at Unique to be brilliant over the last 6 months or so, which is what makes them stand out. Arranging care for loved ones can be stressful, but each person I've dealt with has been efficient, reassuring and helpful. I was very impressed with Unique Senior Care from the outset when I saw a video on their site setting out clearly their support packages with prices. After my initial phone call I was quickly put in touch with the new client manager and arrangements made for her to visit my father. Lots of details were taken at this visit then I was sent videos of potential caregivers who seemed a very good match. On 9th September the caregiver arrived and a registered manager called in shortly after to check that everything was in place. A placement manager is due to visit next week to ensure that all continues to go well. I have felt supported throughout the process and very happy with the choice of caregiver. My father has been treated with respect and kindness by everyone concerned.

All her needs were met and in fact, the carers went above and beyond in terms of pressure care management, swallow problem management, and end-of-life care.
They were supportive both to my mum and me, especially during the last week of her life. Mouth care and skin care were done with such kindness.
External professionals coming in from the doctor's surgery, district nursing and hospice care all commented on how well Mum was being cared for, and that she was the best cared-for client they'd seen.
They fit into the house/family very well and worked so well as a team. It made the experience so nice, when in fact it can be difficult to open up your home to people you've never met, during a time that can be very stressful and upsetting.
I cannot thank them enough for the support they showed both to my mum and me.

Meet the Team (6)
Sophie leads our live-in care teams across England, bringing nearly two decades of experience in care. She joined Unique Care as a Caregiver in 2016, later becoming Registered Manager for our Extra Care service before moving into her current role. Sophie focuses on delivering safe, consistent support and making sure both Clients and Caregivers feel valued and well supported.
Kara oversees our Outstanding Solihull service, having joined Unique Care as a Field Care Supervisor in May 2024 and progressing to Registered Manager within a year.
With experience across both home care and residential settings, she focuses on delivering safe, consistent care and supporting her team to maintain high standards that families can rely on.
Lynne works as a Care Supervisor in our Solihull office alongside Kara, our Registered Manager. She supports the day-to-day delivery of care, working closely with Caregivers and Clients to help ensure care is safe, consistent and well organised, while keeping communication clear between families and the wider team.
Jamal is a Caregiver within our hourly Solihull service, supporting Clients in their own homes. His interest in care began at a young age, helping to support his brother with complex needs, which shaped his understanding of patience, communication and seeing things from another person’s perspective. Jamal focuses on building positive relationships and bringing a calm, reassuring presence to each visit, helping Clients feel comfortable and well supported day to day.
Alexandra is a Live-in Caregiver with Unique Care, bringing a wealth of life and care experience to her role. She was part of the team for seven years before leaving, then rejoining in November 2023. Alexandra values the strong sense of connection and support within the organisation. Alexandra focuses on building meaningful relationships and finding creative ways to engage Clients, helping them feel comfortable, understood and well supported in their own homes.
Sean is our Live-in Care Coordinator, supporting families by carefully matching Clients with the right Caregiver. He began his career in care at 18 and quickly developed a strong focus on helping people maintain a good quality of life at home. Sean works closely with both Clients and Caregivers to ensure each placement is well-suited, helping to create consistent, reliable support that families can feel confident in.
