We are very happy with RAH, particularly our regular carer who us kind, empathetic and thinks widely around little jobs that need doing to help mum.

We appreciate and read the call reports and like the regular contact from the office team.

I'm so impressed with the care from beginning my request of help from one of the staff to the excellent help we received from our two brilliant overnight carers.

We only needed help short term but the empathy and care extended to my husband was exemplary ..and I thank all in the team.

The caregivers arrive on time, are really friendly and do their jobs well. If there are any issues, I ring the office and they are helpful and responsive. Receiving the schedule two weeks in advance means I can update my mum's diary so she knows exactly who is coming and when. We're very happy with the service.

I continue to be impressed by the standard and consistency of care provided to my mother. She is treated with kindness and respect by her carers and appreciates being cared for by predominately the same care giver every day. She has formed a close bond with her carer who, because she knows her well, is able to spot if anything is amiss. I find it particularly reassuring to be able to read the carer's notes, and am always able to speak to someone in the office if I am concerned. Equally the office will always phone me if they are concerned.

Thank you for such positive words regarding your mother's support, the consistency of the Caregiver and your feedback on the communication from the office team. We've (my wife and I) been really pleased with the service from Right at Home - my Mum is not the easiest to deal with, especially as her stroke & dementia symptoms worsen, but the carers do a great job.

It's an invaluable service to allow my wife and I some space to recharge (as we're fulltime caring for mum)

My mother is 93 and has dementia but remains in her own home with support from family and Right at Home (RAH). With the dementia her toileting has become and issue. Most recently the particular concern was blood traces in her incontinence pad. RAH staff drew this to my attention when first seen, I was able to get a GP appointment the same day. There was a reaction to the prescribed antibiotics, but RAH staff were able to get my mum settled for the night.

I cannot tell you how grateful we are to the wonderful caregivers who visit my mum on a daily basis. My mum was not altogether welcoming to the idea - and can be difficult - but the team have persevered, offering support and assistance in a discreet and dignified way, whilst providing hugely vital mental and emotional support to my dad. Mum has now begun to seek the carers out to ask when she needs help, which is a major step forward. The daily notes from the carers are so helpful to us - being some distance away - and we really feel they go the extra mile to brighten up both mum's and dad's days. I cannot recommend Right at Home enough.

In September 2024 my wife's dementia had reached a stage where she was refusing to shower or wash her hair. I tried offering help and encouragement but she would not co-operate. At this stage I sought help and contacted RightAtHome because of their excellent ratings.
The carers come (usually singly) for one hour each day at 7 a.m. This time is important because my wife will not wait any longer before wanting to get dressed. They treat her with dignity and respect and offer plenty of encouragement and praise and obviously do not force her to do anything against her will.
Over the course of a couple of weeks they were able to get her back to co-operating and she now showers each day and frequently has her hair washed.
The carers also clean up the bathroom and do a quick hoover over the lobby, kitchen and hall floors. They also check if there is anything else I need doing.

I certainly appreciate the progress that has been made.

We are delighted with the care our mum receives from Right at Home. The initial meeting with a member of staff focussed on building rapport and understanding Mum's needs. She was then matched with excellent caregivers. We like the fact that each visit is a minimum of an hour long so that time is spent offering companionship as well as care.
Communication via the app is thorough and support from/contact with the office is efficient and swift. They respond well to changes in scheduling and care needs.

I would heartily recommend Right at Home.

I'm so glad I found Right at Home to help with caring for my neighbour. They have been invaluable with enabling her to stay in the comfort of her own home. We worked together over the past few years, caring for my neighbour as she needed more help. I was able to get time away, knowing that my neighbour was in the best hands and that I could rely on her caregivers to pass on any changes or concerns. I was always reassured and kept up to date with the visits via the app. Right at home were always able to adjust to changes in need, and when more visits were needed, this was arranged very efficiently. My neighbour made many new friends through their visits, which was important as she was housebound, and had previously enjoyed catching up with people in town. I felt that we both benefitted immensely from getting care and support from Right at Home. They are so versatile to your needs, and I would always recommend them.

I’m Claire Percy, Owner and Managing Director at Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe.

As the Owner and Director of Care with our former Hampshire-based home care service, I was proud to lead our team to an ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2016. At the time just 2% of home care providers were awarded this rating. The regulator said there was ‘a model of personalised and compassionate care, which was a golden thread that ran through the whole of the service.’

I was an Inspector for the Care Quality Commission when we moved to Suffolk in 2018. We were again awarded an 'Outstanding' rating for Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe in 2022 and we're so proud of our team and their commitment to being the best. It is my privilege to work alongside the best Caregiver and office team! There are some amazing individuals in the caring sector, and it feels like they work with us:)!
