Sirius has been visiting my mum, who has Alzheimer's, for a number of months now and have been amazing. Their support is not just for Mum, it is also for my dad, who, without them, would not have been able to carry on caring for my mum at home. Despite some very challenging times, they still remain caring and professional and continue to make suggestions on how to cope with the everchanging difficulties that Alzheimer's delivers as time progresses. They never give up, even when we are at our lowest point, and that applies to the staff and management.

I have also found them to be of great support personally. I don't know what we would have done without them. Before we went down this road, I always worried about placing the care of my mum into the hands of others, but I can honestly say that fear was well and truly alleviated very early on. I fully recommend Sirius to anyone who needs the support of a loved one.

My mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer in August 2021. She lived a 4-hour drive from me her only daughter. Her final wish was to die peacefully in her own home. To make this happen, I needed the help of carers to support when I couldn't be there. Mum was fiercely independent and a little sceptical about having 'strangers' in the house. The carers at Sirius were brilliant. Super respectful of Mum, always taking her lead while also making sure she was happy, comfortable and safe. Mum could not praise them enough and really looked forward to their visits. I also appreciated their true compassion for Mum and for me. Especially in the last week where their tenderness and thoughtfulness made all the difference to us. On a practical note, all admin was managed by the office allowing me the opportunity to focus on Mum. The online scheduling and reports kept me up to date in real-time and gave me peace of mind. Thank you.

I found the service excellent and the carers all well pleasant, friendly and capable always arriving in spite of fog and ice on the roads.

This care service is very good. The caregivers are always very caring and professional when delivering care to my dad. He looks forward to his daily calls. It is great to have a local care service on the doorstep.

Overall Experience

The service my parents have received has been safe, effective, responsive, caring and well lead. A recent accidental fall was dealt with in an exemplary fashion, and my family have been most impressed by the kindness and consideration of all the staff. Sirius has demonstrated a very personalised and flexible 'can do' approach, facilitated by a most professional and well-motivated team of carers.

Overall Experience

It is a pleasure to be able to complement the team at Sirius Healthcare. We get help for my mother-in-law, who has Alzheimer's and needs care and sensitive support. The carers are brilliant with her and help her remember things and carry on with the things she can still do but forgets to do. So a big thanks to all the team for helping us care for a beloved mother-in-law; the best place at the moment, her own home.

I contacted Sirius Homecare because my parents needed additional help and support due to age and ill-health. From the initial assessment, I had confidence in Sirius Homecare to deliver a professional and quality service to care for my mother who suffers from dementia. The carers are very compassionate and actively look for work and ways to support my mother and father who had problems of his own. The care has given both my parent's tremendous support and given myself peace of mind. I have recommended Sirius to others and am extremely happy with the service they provide.

Overall Experience

Following a short spell in hospital, Sirius Homecare arranged a care plan for my parents at very short notice. The process was easy, with no pressure and was operational within two days. We found the care staff to be friendly, caring, sensitive and professional at all times. The care given included personal care such as washing, showering, going to the loo, help with mobility issues and home assistance with meal preparation, washing up and light housework. I can highly recommend Sirius Homecare and would certainly be happy to use their services again should the need arise.

Do not change a thing. I know companies feel the need to change, but don't try to fix that which is not broken. My mother is much happier with daily visits, and I'm happier knowing people with more experience than I have been helping keep my mother safe.

All carers are very helpful and kind. In the words of my mother, who assist her to remain in her own home; "they are all lovely people". They are punctual and thorough. The reports are very informative for viewing remotely and can be used to gauge the daily issues and needs of your relative.

Sirius Homecare my personal opinion is they have a very efficiently run service. I find their carers competent, friendly and their patience in the handling of my husband who suffers from dementia, have been excellent. No hesitation in recommending.

I have been looking after my husband's daytime care, which has become more and more demanding. A friend recommended Sirius Homecare, and I don’t know how I managed without them. From management to our amazing nurse have been so supportive. Her care is outstanding and has become a friend.

Professional, punctual, caring, supportive individual care delivered in a heartbeat once contacted. The carers went the extra mile to make life more comfortable for bed-bound Dad and did it with a smile. They were chosen to match my dad's individual needs by the management, which made Dad more comfortable receiving very personal care. I was struggling to cope until I contacted Sirius, and by the next day, a weight was lifted from my shoulders, I was made to feel less of a carer and more of a daughter, able to share memories together in his last days. I can not recommend their services highly enough or praise the two ladies caring for my dad adequately. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

We invited Sirius to put in a care plan just before Christmas 2020. The management team arrived promptly, and we agreed on daily care each morning for my elderly mother. My mother looks forward to her daily visit from her carer, and as a family, we think her mental and physical health has improved. Everything has been very professional and easy to set up.

I contacted Sirius in August 2020 as I was going to be away and an elderly friend I had been helping needed care and support.
I found Sirius after researching on the internet and chose them as they were reasonably local. My first telephone call outlined how they worked and then he came to visit my friend in her home to discuss arrangements with us. He was very friendly, reassuring and informative. Everything was put in place very quickly and efficiently to suit everyone. Generally, it is the same carer all the time, and if that one wasn’t available for any reason, the client would be advised in advance.
Everything has worked like clockwork, and my friend has been amazed by the service she has received. She has three visits per week, and one slightly longer, so the carer can take her shopping or to appointments etc. They help with any task or just chat, like a friend and even called on Christmas Day,

Sirius has an excellent caring ethic and goes above and beyond expectations! Thank you!

From the first enquiry and meetings, the fabulous lady (our dad’s carer) and being able to access her notes online - everything has been just brilliant.
As I am overseas, and my siblings in the south of England, our dad having a constant visitor has been so reassuring, especially whilst also having to navigate the Covid pandemic. She even took Dad for his first vaccine.

When our ninety-year-old father needed more help to stay in his home, Sirius acted promptly to cover his needs. Throughout the period, they cared for him, they acted professionally, efficiently and showed compassion at all times. They also showed great adaptability to his ever-changing needs.

Emily has overall legal responsibility for the safe delivery of our care services, scheduling assessments and regular reviews with all our clients. She is responsible for our staff training and development, ensuring they have both the knowledge and confidence to support our clients.

She also manages our team of Field Care Supervisors, who quality check our work out in the community by completing spot checks and support visits with our staff, as well as regular reviews with our clients to ensure they are still happy with our service, and ensuring we are still meeting their needs.
