Following the sudden death of my husband, in July 2022 my daughters and I had to find carers who could start to care for me quickly. One care agency was able to do that, Home Instead was not that agency. I stayed with these carers for a few months but during that time we didn't feel I was getting good care.
So after getting quotes etc from other companies we chose Home Instead. I feel a lot happier with Home Instead. The ladies are always clean, tidy and professional. Of course, there have been occasions where things haven't gone the way I want but I have either told the carers or rung the office and the issue has been rectified.

I wish I had been able to go with Home Instead from the beginning of my home care journey, but on the whole, I now receive good honest care and the carers themselves are all reliable and always do their best.

Overall Experience

Our carer is wonderful. She is kind, considerate, supportive and friendly. Her most endearing quality is she has a genuine desire to care, protect and support my wife. When she sees our carer her eyes light up and she has a big smile. There can be no better testimonial.

I use Home Instead for my elderly mother. My overall experience is excellent. My mother is treated as part of the carer's family and I would have no problem in recommending Home Instead to anybody.

I started using Home Instead for my dad earlier this year and I can honestly say that right from the initial phone call I knew I’d found the best care agency. Since starting they have all been amazing, everyone including the office staff and the care professionals.

I would recommend Home Instead to anyone and indeed have done so.

Overall Experience
Home Instead have cared for mum for over two years, due to dementia. They make extended visits, being a substantial part of a 24/7 care package. Home Instead is completely reliable, providing excellent office support with extremely rapid responses to phone calls and e-mails. The office manager is lovely and completely approachable, responsive and understanding of any issues concerning mum. Home Instead provide continuity of care involving the smallest number of carers so I am confident that the staff really understand my mum's needs. The carers are brilliant with my mum, who can be challenging. All are fully aware of her medication schedule. They are always punctual and provide detailed reports of their visits on their care app.

Home Instead is not the cheapest but the experience of unreliable services provided by other companies including lateness, cancellation of visits and no care provided at Christmas (with little notice) makes me realise you get what you pay for and Home Instead have helped out in these crisis situations.

Very nice ladies/carers, well mannered and easy to get along with. Helpfull with my needs and happy to assist when asked. Good time keeping from all the carers. Would recommend the company no problem.

Home Instead became part of our lives at a very stressful time for the family.
From first contact, we were impressed with how professional and caring they appeared to be and am happy to say these qualities were genuine. We have been blown away with how quickly they have been able to become part of a care package which ensures Mum is able to remain in her own home. More than that, they have become friends to our family, working with us, reassuring us, supporting us.

We cannot thank them enough for the service they provide.
