As a family, we first used Honeysuckle Home Care to help us look after our Sister, who had a terminal illness.
Not only did they meet our expectations, they surpassed them, when, on her final day, they went over and above, what they needed to do.
Now this year, when realising that we needed help in
looking after our Mum, there was no need to look around.
We knew who we wanted and within a week of meeting with them, to discuss our requirements, they were caring for Mum.
The fact that Mum, previously a very independent lady, has continued to accept them into her home (6 weeks now and ongoing, indefinitely ) and enjoys their company, speaks volumes for this local business and its employees.
We feel so lucky to have them, here in Wootton Bassett.
Reply from Carren Buckland, Training & Compliance Manager at Honeysuckle Home CareThank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It was an honour to care for your sister and wonderful to hear that you have the faith and trust in allowing us to care for your mum. We will continue to showcase the abilities, empathy and compassion our carers have towards the delivery of high quality care within our community.

Honeysuckle have been and continue to be of great value to my mum, she wouldn't be able to live in her own home without the support of Honeysuckle. All the carers are very kind, caring and helpful to mums needs. As a family we totally appreciate their service 100% and thank them for everything they
do.

My wife as been looked after by Honeysuckle and we are both really pleased with their service. We feel all of the Carers who have cared for my wife, from the owner to the newest recruit, they all show a deep and honest liking for my wife.
Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are all happy and
cheerful when they visit, even when she was briefly diagnosed "end of life". They were very concerned and spent a long time with, me in particular, answering our questions.
The owner and senior management of Honeysuckle made time to visit my wife to ensure she was getting the right care.
Both of us have nothing but praise for Honeysuckle and their carers and hope they will always be with us.

Honeysuckle Home Care have cared for my friend for over a year. They support her with several calls a day, shopping and external trips. My friend would struggle with out the help of her care team and would most likely need to leave her home and go into a residential care home if it wasn't for her fabulous
carers. We are so grateful to everyone who comes to visit her.

The carers come in ask how I'm doing and have a little chat then ask me, what do I want a wash or shower, I have a shower every other day and carers are ok with this. The staff in the office are very polite and friendly and if I have any problems I know I can ring the office and it will be sorted.

I have been very impressed by the professionalism, guidance and time taken in setting up an appropriate care package for my father.
Honeysuckle Care have also been flexible in their approach in a changing situation.
The carers have been thorough, consistent and cheerful in carrying out tasks as agreed
in the plan. It is extremely useful, from my point of view, to be able to access the carer reports in the portal.
I have no hesitation in recommending Honeysuckle Care.

Carers are mostly very good, but care coordinators are very poor and let carers down, the last 4 weeks we have had 30 carers 6 of which visited only once, also times and carers on our timesheet are altered without notification and frequently our timetables do not match that of the carers.
Reply from Joanna Lander, Registered Manager at Honeysuckle Home CareGood or bad feedback is welcomed, we operate a transparent care service. We pride ourselves on regular monthly feedback reviews and your feedback has always been positive. It is disappointing to hear that the team have 'let down' the carers, we want to stress the good relationship the carers have with the coordinators. You had 140 calls in the said 30-day period, in what is a difficult time of the year, with carers taking time off with their own family and sickness that cannot be predicted. We have taken great strides to work with you, to limit the number of carers and to work with the 12 carers you have requested. Our T&Cs do state that we operate a 20-minute window, allowing for emergencies, thus needing an element of flexibility. We have cared for your wife for 2 years, we appreciate your wife is your priority, as she is ours and we strive to deliver high-quality care in the comfort of your own home.

All of the staff at Honeysuckle Home Care have genuine care for the person they are looking after. They go above and beyond to ensure that the person is safe and work with the local authorities to ensure the appropriate level of care is in place. They even supported me at what is a very stressful and
emotional time when looking after an elderly parent with dementia. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for Mum whilst under their care.

My mother-in-law needed carers to come in twice a day when she was discharged from hospital. Firstly, we were very impressed with the assessment that was done before the care started. Absolutely everything was covered and we were offered some very useful advice on her care. All the carers that have
come out have been friendly, helpful and professional. They are also very happy to support her independence. My mother-in-law is always asked what she would like them to do and then they also support her while she does things independently. We would like to thank all staff for their care and support.

The carers are compassionate and efficient in what they do. They are polite and cheerful and put David and myself at ease. They have provided useful information where appropriate and noticed things that I have not. The timings of the visits have been my main concern but my approaches have been listened
to and where possible have been addressed within the confines of the system.

Outstanding is the adjective for Honeysuckle. I contacted several care providers in January 2024 when my parents required 24-hour care for dementia and nursing. The professional assessment provided by Honeysuckle left me in doubt. Honeysuckle management are both professional and compassionate and they
were able to advise on medical, financial, and emotional support. It is not easy to trust strangers in your parents' home, particularly when they have dementia, but my parents' care staff are beyond outstanding. My parents' every whim and need are met with professionalism and tenderness. I admire the support and patience the care staff have shown to my parents. Caring for dementia patients is a challenge and my parents' carers have the psychological know-how and love of their work to reassure us that our parents are in the most capable and caring hands. I am extremely grateful to the Honeysuckle management for providing me with such exceptional carers who I feel have become part of the family.

Our neighbour started receiving care from the staff at Honeysuckle in January of this year. We are so grateful for their support. It has been a swift journey from full independence in August last year to almost immobility for our neighbour, whose family members are unable to support her. She is very
happy with the care offered by Honeysuckle which has allowed her to live at home still.
In our experience, the Honeysuckle Care staff treat their clients with dignity, regardless of the somewhat difficult circumstances they may encounter. They are role models of how to respect the individual, always making time for their clients, as well as meeting their client's care needs. We have had to call 111 and the ambulance. The staff have in these situations and others have repeatedly gone above and beyond to support their client. We will be forever in their debt for everything they have done, as carers and working with us as a team to help guide us through this tricky journey.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.831 for Honeysuckle Home Care is calculated as follows: ( (200 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 231 Ratings = 4.831

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Honeysuckle Home Care is based on 39 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: HR director Joined: 2021

I co-founded Honeysuckle Home Care alongside my brother, Sam, and our mother, Joanna — someone I continue to look up to every day. Her resilience, dedication to excellence, and unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards of care have not only shaped our company’s values but have also been a constant source of inspiration in my own personal and professional growth.

Encouraged by Joanna, I began my career in care at the age of 17. Thrown into the deep end, I found myself supporting end-of-life clients early on — an experience that was both humbling and profoundly rewarding. It was then that I realised I had found my true calling. So, when we made the decision to establish Honeysuckle, it felt only natural that I would step into the role of Care Director. My ambition was, and remains, to ensure that every individual who chooses Honeysuckle experiences exceptional, person-centred care from their very first visit through to the end of their journey with us.

Now with over seven years of experience in the sector, I continue to learn and evolve every day. Remaining current in the ever-changing landscape of health and social care is a responsibility I take seriously — not only for myself, but for the dedicated team I lead. In my role, I oversee the coordination of client rosters, ensuring they are delivered accurately and reflect both the personal preferences of our clients and the care plans tailored specifically to their needs.

What I value most is the opportunity to work alongside my family and an incredible team of colleagues who share the same passion for quality care. Each day brings purpose, challenges, and the privilege of making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support — and that, to me, is the true heart of Honeysuckle.

Job Title: Training Manager Joined: 2021

With over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector, I have had the privilege of working across a variety of settings, gaining valuable insight into the diverse needs of individuals and the importance of truly person-centred care. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong passion for ensuring that high-quality care is consistently delivered, and I believe that access to robust training and effective quality assurance processes is fundamental to achieving this at all levels.

I hold a range of qualifications that support me in guiding others through their professional development. I originally joined Honeysuckle Home Care Ltd as the full-time Training and Compliance Manager, a role that aligned perfectly with my dedication to empowering staff through learning. While I now mentor Rebecca in this position, I continue to serve as Honeysuckle’s First Aid Trainer and currently hold the role of Deputy Manager.

I am also working closely with Joanna, who is mentoring me as I prepare to take on the role of Registered Manager later this year. My aim is to help ensure Honeysuckle remains a responsive, forward-thinking organisation within the ever-evolving health and social care landscape, while also strengthening and developing our internal training programme to further support our team’s growth and confidence.

My focus remains on driving excellence in care through education, mentorship, and a shared commitment to quality — values that are at the heart of Honeysuckle’s mission.

Job Title: Finance Director Joined: 2021

I co-founded Honeysuckle Home Care Ltd alongside my mother, Joanna, and my sister, Lucy. At just 16 years old, I was stepping into an industry I knew little about, but I was fortunate to have strong guidance and a clear ethos to follow. Joanna instilled in me early on that “you can’t command respect unless you’re prepared to do the same job as the carers.” With that in mind, my first year at Honeysuckle was entirely focused on understanding what quality care delivery truly means — not from behind a desk, but by working alongside our dedicated care team and learning directly from their experience.

Since those early days, I’ve grown into my role as Finance Director, where I now manage the accounts for over 100 clients and oversee payroll for more than 50 members of staff. It’s a demanding position, especially as the business continues to grow, but I am fortunate to be supported by a strong, values-driven team and exceptional mentors who have shaped my professional journey.

Despite having several years of experience under my belt, I firmly believe that every day is still a school day. That mindset fuels my commitment to continuous improvement — both personally and across the organisation. One of my core objectives is to ensure that Honeysuckle Home Care remains financially robust and well-positioned to invest in staff development, high-quality external training, and the tools needed to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of health and social care.

Ultimately, everything we do is centred around one goal: ensuring that every Honeysuckle client receives the highest standard of care, delivered by a confident, well-trained, and compassionate team.

Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2022

After earning a diploma in Forensic Science, I began my career in funeral directing. Supporting families through emotionally challenging times and honouring the final wishes of their loved ones was a deeply fulfilling part of the role. After nearly four years in the industry, I began exploring new paths and, encouraged by my mum, considered a career in care.

In 2022, I joined Honeysuckle as a care worker. It quickly became clear that I had found the right fit — caring for clients in their own homes and ensuring their wishes were respected brought me immense satisfaction. Over the past three years, I’ve progressed through several roles within the organisation, including Employee Relations Officer and Client Relations Officer, and now serve as a Coordinator. My current role carries a range of responsibilities, with scheduling calls being a top priority.

Alongside my professional journey, I completed my Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care in January 2025, a great personal achievement, especially as I was also planning my wedding and working full time.

Honeysuckle has supported me through many significant life events, and I’m deeply grateful for the continued encouragement and opportunities to grow within the company.

Originally from a small town in Mid Wales, I moved to Wiltshire 13 years ago and have built both a personal and professional life I’m incredibly proud of. One of my greatest accomplishments was travelling the world in 2011 — a six-month journey that took me to 19 countries and broadened my perspective in countless ways. My proudest achievement, however, is being a mum to my five-year-old son, Arthur, who is my absolute world. In 2019, I furthered my professional development by earning a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.

With over 18 years of experience in the Health and Social Care industry, my journey began after starting out as a qualified lifeguard. I quickly realised my true calling was in care — a decision I’ve never regretted. Caring for vulnerable and elderly individuals is more than a job; it’s a privilege and a passion.

Today, I work in a senior role at Honeysuckle Home Care, where I focus on meeting with individuals to design and review their care packages. I take pride in ensuring every plan is truly person-centred and that we meet each client’s unique daily needs with compassion and respect.
