Right at Home Isle of Wight enables people with a variety of support needs to live safely and happily in their own homes on the Isle of Wight.

All of their CareGivers are chosen for having a genuine passion for helping people and are trained to a high standard.

Support can include personal care, assistance with medication, dementia care, care for complex medical conditions and needs, meal preparation and companionship. Visits are usually a minimum of one hour to ensure that CareGivers have time to give the best possible care.

I actually do not know how I would have coped without Right At Home. Dad's health deteriorated extremely quickly and I live on the mainland with a full-time job. Although I come over regularly and more if his health requires it, Right At Home are there to give the support that he and I badly need. The
team not only look after all his needs, they make sure that he has the social company he needs, taking time to spend time with him. They are there in an emergency going beyond any contracted hours if necessary. They are very knowledgeable regarding hospitals, authorities etc and have been able to support and advise when needed. Dad deteriorated after a fall very quickly and they have made the transition from independence to him needing care so easy, advising and changing his care package to suit. They are always there when I need to talk to them and Dad has become extremely fond of the team; all of them are lovely, very professional people. Thank you.

Right at Home has always gone above and beyond to fit my brother into their busy schedules on the occasions I have not been able to visit him myself. All staff are kind considerate and happy and nothing is too much trouble. Alongside this they are professional, treating him with dignity and respect
and listening to his choices. We are both so happy with them and they will always be our go-to when needed.

Right at Home care for my godmother who lives in her own flat. Two carers come in four times a day to help her with all her day-to-day needs. They have been amazing. They deal with meals, medicines, doctors appointments as well as daily care. The staff in the office are friendly, approachable efficient,
responsive and also have experience of being carers. They go over and above in every area. I live at a considerable distance but know I can rely on the amazing team to be right there if anything crops up.

The initial process of signing up for the service was professional, friendly and comprehensive. The manager and her team took every care to make sure that they understood my mother's situation and needs before suggesting and implementing a care plan tailored to her. Right at Home take great care to
match my mother with carers who have the personality and skills to complement my mother's own personality and needs. I do not live near by to my mother and so Right at Home are my day-to-day link to her. They are excellent at communicating with me and it is an enormous comfort to know that I can always call them if I have any concerns - large or small. They are always quick to respond but, more importantly, pro-active in their approach to managing my mother's changing needs. They also monitor and manage her medications and doctor appointments in consultation with myself. I would highly recommend Right at Home!

A fabulous company and experience from the beginning, the team at Right at Home Isle of Wight could not have done more for my mother-in-law and ourselves.
As we live away from my mother-in-law, it was imperative we found the right people to look after her in our absence and I honestly couldn’t have
asked for better, the team are attentive, supportive, works hard and gives us peace of mind that she is being looked after incredibly well.
The support that they have given us as a family is also amazing, the worry and stress of the situation was instantly made better by the compassion and understanding Right at Home Isle of Wight has. I honestly could not recommend any company more than them.

When I first talked to my father about having carers in he was adamant he didn't want them in the house. However, it soon became clear he needed support and I contacted the home care provider and they were very supportive and helpful. They were able to tailor the care to his needs with a view to upping
the care contact if it became necessary. They were able to put in a stable and friendly team and he has accepted them and they are now "his friends".
The company has also sorted out a new washing machine and a number of other jobs that needed doing. This is very much appreciated, especially as I live away.
They always return my emails and calls promptly and deal with any issues straight away.
I can highly recommend this company.

My dad was very anti having carers in his house. However, when he did start using Right at Home, his attitude changed completely. He was delighted with the care he received, particularly the way he wasn't treated like an 'old man'. A number of the carers went above and beyond the job description, even
visiting him in hospital. The family cannot thank you enough.

Right at Home carers come to help me shower my husband who has mobility problems. They are friendly, happy in their work and efficient and seem so much part of the family we look forward to their arrival. I'm afraid I have been away for two months and only just got back so I don't have much knowledge of Right at Home as they have only recently started. However, my mother has live-in carers and the little I have seen of the girls has all proved very satisfactory so far.

Let's get the main point out first, for those only scanning the reviews. The service from right-at-Home has been excellent!
We needed some in-home care to support Mum regain her independence after a fall and finding a good care agency was really tough. Right-at-Home have been really attentive, the
team and the carers are really good both from an organisation perspective, but most importantly, by caring for the person. The flexibility has been great. We will continue to use the team in the future.

Right at Home recently provided extra care for my eighty-six year old mum after coming home from a hospital visit and have met or exceeded all expectations. Their staff have been kind and attentive at every point and in addition to the essential care, they also encouraged Mum to start walking and getting
back to being as independent as possible, which is a challenge with the elderly once some confidence is understandably knocked after health problems. The care is exceptionally good and it’s obvious this is at the core of their values, which other companies claim but do not often deliver. They are also very organised and professional from a business perspective, so that makes them a pleasure to deal with. I hope they maintain this and continue to excel.

I am my husband's carer following his stroke six years ago. Unfortunately, I had to have a short stay in hospital recently and needed some short-term respite to care for my husband whilst I was away. Right at Home was recommended to me by a friend and so I contacted them. From the very start, they were
excellent. The carers were kind and professional and ensured they carried out our needs and daily routine as far as possible. I would highly recommend them and will always use their services, should the need arise again in the future.

They don't just look after the client, they are very caring to the family. In my own experiences, they are all very friendly and if it wasn't for their care over myself who is another carer for my husband. The agency is very obliging at any request. If it wasn't for the agency I would not be able to
look after my husband at home.

Right at Home has been providing care for my wife for three months and has carried out a brilliant service. The staff are caring, helpful, flexible and very nice to chat too. Nothing is too much trouble for them from cleaning the house, cooking, shopping and taking my wife out.
The management are
polite and helpful and will adjust to any changes in care that are required. This company is exceedingly well run and tries as much as possible to match the client and carers, which in my wife's case has been very successful. Overall, we are very pleased with the care provided.

We used Right at Home for four care visits a day on my husband's return from a nursing home. The owner and manager were very thorough and helpful during our introduction and assessment, and all paperwork was prompt and accurate at all times. The caregivers were all punctual and very professional and
friendly. They had an extremely person-centred approach and would also make helpful suggestions as to how we could further improve his support and quality of life. I would not hesitate to use Right at Home again and recommend them to others.

At Right at Home Isle of Wight we provide Quality, person-centred care at a time that the client wants. Our staff are the best in the business. They are highly trained and focused on quality care with a personal touch.


I was born on the island and left at the age of 16 to join the Army, serving 5 years in the Royal Artillery.
Since then I've worked for the past 16 years in the Automotive manufacturing sector which I enjoyed very much.


Moving into the care sector is the best decision I've ever made. My wife and I were looking for business opportunities and noticed a gap in the market on the island for a quality home care provider and the Right at Home provider ticked all the boxes for us in terms of ethos and quality.


My Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 64 and went into various care establishments around the island that couldn't cater for his needs. Watching Dad's condition deteriorate is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I knew that I could provide much better care than what my dad received and that's what drives me today.


We opened Right at Home Isle of Wight in 2021, two years after Dad passed away. We are partnered with the Alzheimer's Society and specialise in dementia care. We train our carers to the highest standards, and support them so they feel like part of a family and not some corporate brand. I ask myself one question when taking on carers and that is: Would I be happy to let this person care for my Dad? If the answer is yes:

My family moved to Bembridge in 1985 after my parents fell in love with the Island having stayed here for their honeymoon and then for subsequent family holidays. I was very lucky to grow up and go to school in such a lovely place. Growing up I spent lots of free time with my Nan, who moved with us to the Island, and I always loved our time together.


After school, I moved to Portsmouth for a few years where I trained as a Chartered Accountant while working in private practice. Once I was qualified, I opened my own practice in Portsmouth which I later left when I decided to move back to the Island to enable me to spend more time with my family. I spent the next 9 years working as Head of Finance for local automotive manufacturing companies until I decided it was time for a new challenge.


Paul and I decided to change our career path and move into the care sector after personal experiences made us re-evaluate what we would like to achieve for the future. We had experienced first-hand the shortage of high-quality care and support available for both the client and their families, and this drove our passion for our career change.


Alongside wanting to provide the highest quality of care, we also want to ensure our CareGivers feel supported and valued. We will strive to provide an Outstanding service to our clients and to become the number one employer of choice within the care sector.


We live in Bembridge and can often be seen walking our two sprocker spaniel dogs, Molly & Luna, around the village.

Hello, my name is Katie and I am the Registered Manager here at Right at Home – Isle of Wight.


I have worked in the care industry for over a decade, and it is a sector which I absolutely love. I have worked in many different care settings and with a range of different individuals with varying health and social care needs.


I am passionate about promoting independence and supporting individuals to live a healthy and fulfilled life whilst remaining in the comfort of their own homes.


Being part of the team here at Right at Home – Isle of Wight enables me to do this. The support from the whole team, including the franchisees and national office team is second to none. It really does have the ‘family feel’ you want from a workplace and this also extends to the people we support. Right at Home continues to offer training in all areas of my role to ensure that my knowledge and skills are maintained and improved.


People would describe me as bubbly, approachable, empathetic, and compassionate. These skills enable me to manage the team effectively and enable them to deliver outstanding care to individuals in our community.


In my spare time I enjoy walking with my dogs and enjoying the beauty of the Isle of Wight and spending time with family and friends.
