There was good communication between us and the care team to ensure that mum had everything that she needed. We know towards the end of her life it was becoming harder for the carers to witness the decline and we thank them for the continued care and friendship they showed her.

When I do see him over the weekend he seems healthy and I can tell he has been well looked after. The one thing that does get annoying is the constant phone calls I get. I understand they want to keep me informed but I would get a call every day with minor things such as “your dad's regular carer is off so it’s going to be a replacement” or “carers are gonna be running 20 minutes late”. As long as he gets carers I’m happy.

Not only did this carer not know the difference between constipation and diarrhoea and thought anti-diarrhoea medication was to make you poo more but her managers were also of the same opinion. When it gets to this level of stupidity and ignorance I lose faith in the whole organisation.

I had to cancel some calls due to lateness, I had work instead,( I am the 80-year-old father) my son uses this company, had to cancel transport service several times, which had been booked to take him to the day centre. Received a call from social services; that they do not wish to care for my son, the reason given, I had a dog with behaviour issues. I have a small 11-year-old dog, who follows my daughter-in-law but would not come in when the carers were in any way, the dog is very friendly. I am not sure what behaviour problems they have encountered and was not clarified with family. Care behaviour attitude?
