My brother and I would like on behalf of Dad to thank you all for the care, attention and dedication you have shown in the months of looking after Dad.
Your support has helped him stay at home which is his greatest wish and he found all the carers kind, friendly, empathetic, dedicated, supportive, helpful and flexible to his needs.
In the latter stages of your input you stepped up his care package, were flexible to changing circumstances and responsive to alterations in medication, needs and wants.

Thank you all.

Reply from Danielle Sterne, Healthcare Home Manager at Manorcourt Homecare (Thetford)

Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been a privilege to support your dad and to help him remain at home, where he feels most comfortable. We're delighted to hear that our team's care, flexibility and responsiveness made a positive difference during a challenging time. Your appreciation means a great deal to all of us. Dad will be missed, all the best Danielle & Team

My wife Julia has Manor Court as her home carer. The carers who come into our home are always kind and helpful. Overall we find them efficient, and will always inform me if any problems like pressure sores or similar that might be developing. My wife Julia is not a private patient and therefore is part funded by the council, however overall we are happy with the service provided.

My husband was cared for extremely well. The carers were really kind compassionate and gentle and responded to his requests during his care. They were really kind and friendly towards myself and my son and daughter especially during the sad and stressful few weeks at the end of his life. He connected with them and when able had a lovely conversation with the carers. The care that was shown was amazing and all of the carers had a lot of empathy and a real credit to the caring profession which is very difficult and unglamourous profession. Thank you.

A mix across the board some carers are amazing, and some I have found pleasant but come across they wish to leave as soon as possible, while missing few tasks even after being asked. The management I have found to be very helpful, happy and polite. I feel bad putting my score as middle of the board but I always try to be honest so that it can be seen and tweaked. It's all small little issues mostly nothing major.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the care which they gave to mum during her last few months at home. Mum was a very private person, and could be hard to please, but from the first visit, she was very happy with the carers, and became very fond of them. As her family, we were always kept well informed about any issues which arose, and we knew that she was receiving the very best of care from a dedicated and very supportive team. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Carers treat client with care and dignity. They get on well with her. Only negative comment is occasions when we are not informed of time/care visits. This can result for example of dining when carer arrives. Carers themselves usually text if they are going to be late or want to come early. It is annoying to have to phone to find out time of next visit.

All the carers who visit my wife are superb. They are caring, careful, diligent and very professional,. They make her feel like a human being. It is the administrative support that lets Manorcourt down. Weekly schedules are not received on time, are never accurate and are constantly being changed. We are not notified of any changes. 'Out of hours' was contacted last saturday and nobody called back. Flyers are sent out with glowing spelling mistakes.

Thank you for your review. It is always good to hear the good and bad. As your new Branch Manager I reassure you that these are key areas that are being handled with care to improve. This company does not even warrant one star! In one week, they failed to administer medication. 3 of those days, failed to meet clients call times, turn up for lunch calls at 2.30 in the afternoon. Lost key to home, left key safe unlocked and on opening code. Staff failed to read care plans, left client without fall pendant and earring aids. No beds made or tidied and curtains left closed.
