In the main - Very good.

The only criticism I have was in the 12,months we used Deltacare 43 different carers came to our home. Some were good and others were sadly not good at all. Once these poor ones -,were identified we managed to keep the very best coming to give Care to my late wife, who sadly passed away with vascular dementia.

Hi we are really glad and happy to be with delta care my mother is 92 years old and the staff is amazing really friendly speak the same language so communication is perfect for my mother.Karisma is such a really caring person so polite calm and calculate and really understanding like all the other carers personally deserve a 5+ rating in all aspects of their duties and professionalism.I would recommend this company to anyone.Because we have had careers before who were rude and bullies didn't care at all about work.so keep up the good work delta my thanks and gratitude to all of you.salim.ps!from my mother Amina.

I have given it a star above the minimum as the attitude of most of the carers is good and they are pleasant people. That is where the good news ends.
They insisted on a rediculously detailed history that took several hours and not releveant on the grounds it was necessary to understand me as a person. I have carers 3 times a day for 15 minutes each so there is not a lot of time to explain much. So the way they chop and change carers means no one ever learns anything.
The type of care i need (not enough characters allowed to explain in detail) is not being met. I have just now got off the phone to one of the managing team to whom i wanted to express some concerns but I got half way through and she was overtalking me, running her mouth without listening.

They still don't really know what my needs are or how to provide them. I have found the whole exercise to be quite pointless.

I should have meds twice a day every 12 hours but her who answered the phone says there no one to give me my meds as it is part of the contract that i am given meds every 12 hours if the Manager knew about this she would what they want have no staff they do there own thing , i would tell to get on with the job or find another job where they can do what they want to do and if not sack them meds is very important and all staff should make sure that meds given as required and what the doctor says very BAD.

Overall Experience

The carers have all been lovely, they are kind, friendly and adaptable to our needs. Delta have been very accommodating when we needed some flexibility in the days for which care was provided. We have been happy with the service so far and it gives peace of mind to receive the daily reports.

Whilst the carers who attend Mum are very pleasant, her needs are not being met. Mum has dementia and her response to everything is 'no' or I've done that. We were advised that, due to recent health problems and the fact that Mum sits in the same position most of the day, carers should assist her to wash and also have a shower once a week to check for further pressure sores and keep her feet clean and healthy. After two weeks, Mum hasn't had a shower, her feet haven't been cleaned, nor has any check been done on her feet. She does tell the carers that she washed, but Mum has limitations on what parts she can wash/reach. She tells the carers that she's eaten or will make something later, but she has dementia - she forgets!
The previous care agency could persuade mum to soak her feet, have a shower and always served her a meal at dinner time (microwave meal, so not difficult), serving it at the table so Mum moved position.

Maybe it's lack of dementia training/ lack of understanding

The most awful care company. I wouldn't trust these people as far as I could throw them, which isn't very far. All the office staff that I dealt with were completely unsympathetic/unhelpful. The person who usually answers the phone (the receptionist?) is wholly unsuitable. Rude would be too nice! No sympathy, no flexibility and definitely no sense of care. Staff, on the most part untrained and unsympathetic. Mirroring management! Carers come in and leave as soon as they can. 20 minutes is the utmost maximum amount of time they'll spend(during a 30 minute call), even though they might have nowhere to rush off to. Even when we're medically unsafe to leave, ie having a hypo. They don't know the meaning of hygiene. If you don't have a fully functioning immune system I wouldn't recommend Delta. In the few months I've been with them, I've had infections, vomiting and diarrhoea! They send staff that can't physically bend down! Staff that don't have a clue of basic hygiene and staff who come for meal prep that will literally tell you they are useless at it. Following a basic recipe is too much. Unforgivable.

Always late unless you get a carer that is decent, some have no idea how to use a microwave. One was scared of our friendly dog so she won't be coming back. She wasn't able to get my partner up due to being too small and was very little help after I got him up. The whole point of having carers is to take the strain off myself as I'm up in the night caring for my partner, and just lately waking up in the morning due to their lateness. Best carer has been a young lady, I give her 5 stars.

I have been a client since November 2023. I have had mixed experiences. But I find that it doesn't matter what the carers do wrong, the manager defends them. I have continued to be made to feel like the carers have the right to do what they like. We did have a meeting with a social worker which in my view was just a witch hunt. It was all turned around on me and all about my behaviour. No mention of how the carers were, just my fault. I no longer trust them. I don't even want to let in the decent carers as I know if anything goes wrong I'm not believed or should I say, the manager turns a blind eye. I don't understand the point of a care company that doesn't care for its clients. I'm done.

Overall Experience

We have just started using Delta Care after having a disappointing experience with a different care provider. I can honestly say the staff are fantastic, from those in the office to the carers who come to the home. They are helpful, very obliging, they listen and treat you with respect. The carers are so lovely with my nana, we feel safe with them coming in the house and trust them to do everything that is needed. Thank you Delta Care.

Overall Experience

Deltacare have been providing multi-daily visits for my elderly auntie (who has early-stage dementia) for a number of years now. They enable her to live independently and with dignity. They are very friendly and are diligent in thinking of my auntie's needs. They suggest activities and new experiences for her, to improve her quality of life. They react quickly to any issues and they are helpful, approachable and efficient. They have definitely extended my auntie's time of living independently and I am very grateful to them all.

My dad lives with us he is 89 years old. We have had amazing care, especially from two particular carers. I have been in the care business either working myself or with different family members and know enough of what goes on. I was not looking forward to going through the care at home again, but my worries were taken away when the two carers started to help with the care for Dad. These two men go above and beyond to help. My dad had a stroke and they took the time and patience with my dad. He is back out of bed, short walks to get him out in the wheelchair for short trips out to the cafe or a push along the promenade, something my dad thought he would never do again. My dad always tells me he's very lucky to have such good carers. Delta has had good communication, and most of the time, timekeeping is good. We as a family, are very pleased that Delta took care of my dad's care package and would recommend them. If there was an award for carers, I would put forward my dad's two cares forward as they are amazing
