Daughter of an elderly lady with cognitive impairment. My mum has been having carers in four times each day to assist with making meals, changing beds and personal care . Mum has blossomed over the last six months, she is so much happier and relaxed and looks forward to seeing "her girls",
every day. They have been so helpful, letting me know what she needs, and if she has any concerns.

Out of all the care companies Sentinal are they best, a nice variety of staff, always just a phone call away, team leaders go above and beyond to work along your routine.

Couldn't ask for a better service. They have gone above and beyond with my mums care. A couple of start up niggles but they were sorted straightaway. The carers and the admin team act with professionalism and are so kind to mum even when she's not cooperating. Highly recommend

Sentinel have been providing carers for an elderly male friend, who was suddenly left to cope independently due to his wife's illness. The individuals involved in his care have been wonderful - ensuring he takes care of himself, whilst also helping him with domestic chores that he might otherwise have
overlooked. They (nicely) nag him when necessary, and after his initial reluctance to have carers, he now enjoys having a chat and appreciates the company and care given to him. The office staff have proven to be really helpful and flexible when needed, and also use their initiative to advise me of any concerns they have. When we were first looking for carers I was very worried, having read all of the horror stories - thank goodness another user pointed me in the direction of Sentinel - the support they have given has been amazing.

I've been with Tamar for over a year now and the staff are wonderful. They take care of me to the best of their ability and are very patient and most of all the nicest carer's I have known. Nothing is to much trouble for them and even though they are very busy they take the time to make sure I'm settled
before they leave. In all honesty I couldn't do without them and they need more recognition for all the work they do. Thank you so very much.

On the last month of Wyn's life, the carers came in and they treated her with kindness laughed with her treated her like she was a human being and not just an old lady in a bed. Wyn last week the girls excelled with kindness and graciousness and treated her with the most respect. She was treated with
dignity the whole of the time. and the one thing that melted my heart even when asleep they spoke to her and told her exactly what they were going to do.. we wasn't with them very long but the whole time that we were there I found the girls professional, caring, kind and considerate .

Tamar Homecare is a really good company ,I would recommend them to anyone .If I had any complaints with the carer's I would tell them and get in touch with the office ,but I have no complaints ,the carers come in as strangers but leave as friends and it's like having an extended family ,love them all

Tamar staff are very flexible and understanding. They go the extra mile to accommodate changes in times and routines. Struggling with our own health issues, they are a very welcome help and they do a great job of taking care of our grown up son who has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair bound.

Tamar Care are providing wonderful personal care for my husband. He has always been very independent and at first was alarmed, at needing help with intimate things, but their positive, helpful attitude and patience has won him over. Without their help, life would be more of a struggle for both of us,
especially when he isn't well. It is helpful having the same group of carers coming at regular times, but even if a carer is coming who we do not know, we are now confident that they will be competent and friendly, having experienced a few months now of Tamar Care and the quality of their carers.

What a wonderful company. Got recomended Tamar Care by a social worker who couldn't speak more highly Of them.


Approachable and helpful office team, Manager personally called me to see how things are getting on and if there was any help needed with anything.


Takes the pressure off Myself and

my family knowing dad is so well looked after day in and day out and just so happy and smiling. He speaks so highly of his care team.

The carers are always cheerful and put up with my husband's bad jokes. It's nice that we have mostly the same 4 or 5 carers each week, as he does like his routine. They take the time to talk to him as they are completing his personal care, which is good as otherwise it's mostly just myself that chats
to him.

Everything fine and going well. Timing of visits are good. Prefer regular carers, but not always possible. Good to be able to chat and build relationships with the carers.

Everybody tries their best to ensure I have a good standard of care. There have been some frustrating things that happen from time to time, for example, there is a lack of consistency due to the high number of carers assigned to me. This is more prevalent when people are on holiday, which is understandable.
Overall, I am happy but I think care providers need to understand how it feels to be cared for by someone who lacks experience. Obviously, it’s a collaborative relationship in which I have responsibility towards how I’m cared for but as someone who has fatigue, it’s exhausting having to explain what needs to be done to new carers so often. However, it takes time to get used to being cared for so I am sure things will keep improving.

This care company looked after my husband when he first came out of hospital and they were kind, supportive and professional. The whole time, I was very pleased with leaving my husband in their care. I now have another care company that is not a patch on these and I would like to say a great big thank
