Overall service is okay. Carers always running late and not notice given. App is not updated and no live updates. Some carers can be more flexible or adaptive to care required.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased to see that you've rated your overall experience with us 4 stars. However, I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered difficulties with the Care Circle app.The app is intended to give you visibility of your upcoming visits, care notes, and any logged...
I had a lovely time at the tea party. Enjoyed the food and music. The carers are wonderful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased that you were able to attend our Client tea party. It's always wonderful to see our Clients enjoying themselves and socialising.
She had an amazing day it was so nice to see her smile and talk to everyone she even met some people she remembered from years ago.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Our goal is to ensure our Clients continue to lead fulfilling lives through meaningful social events like our tea parties. There's nothing we love more than seeing our Clients smiling. It's especially wonderful to hear that connections made many years ago were rekindled and enjoyed once again. We truly appreciate your kind words.
Very kind & helpful staff, food excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're delighted to hear that you find our Care Workers and support team kind and helpful, your feedback truly means a lot to us.
I was trying to contact Abbots Care, the social worker left me with the situation I had not been able to sort out. The social worker, whose client is a wheelchair user and below knee amputee. They want to start when he had a doctor's appointment for dressings and it's not just Abbots Care that won't let him go to the doctor's appointment, it was also the social worker when the carers did not come. The social worker didn't sort out the problem when they were supposed to give out my phone number without letting me know they were going to call me. I wanted them to start on Monday. I was left to deal with it every time you try to talk to them. They don't understand any explanations and every time you try to explain the situation he needs to go to medical appointments, he is diabetic. They won't let him go and he cannot communicate with me either my brother, or with the carers to explain it. With Abbots Care anything with more than 5 words or syllables, they are clueless.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been satisfied with the service you've received from us and your brother's social worker. I'd like to investigate this further, so please don't hesitate to contact us by emailing info@abbotscare.com or calling us on 0330 094 5511.
Abbotts gave us helpful support at the beginning of the year and has continued to be flexible with needs and times when suitable. All their carers are friendly and efficient in giving reports and electronic app keeps me up to date as l live on the other side of London and Abbotts support me too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our team. The app is an excellent resource for both family members and clients, offering updates on care visits and valuable feedback after each visit. Thank you once again for your kind words!
They quickly understood the situation and advised that live-in care for 2-3 weeks was the best option and what the cost would be. The assessor came to the hospital the next day and within the next 2 days, they had found a lovely carer who could start on the day of discharge.
My father and his carer get on well together. She's caring, cheerful and respectful and within 24 hours I felt confident that my father was in good hands. We have decided to extend the care until my father's mobility improves.
Everyone at Abbots Care that I have spoken to, on the phone or face to face, has been helpful and supportive. Arranging care for a loved one can be very stressful and they have made the process stress-free. I also believe their fees are very competitive.
Thank you for your kind review. It's heartwarming to know that we could support your family during a challenging time by meeting your father's needs and enabling his return home from the hospital. We always strive to match our clients with the most suitable live-in care workers because we understand how vital this is, not only for the client but also for their family.
Abbots responded very quickly to an urgent need for nighttime care for my mother - requested in the afternoon and in place that same night. Admin had to be a bit rushed but Abbots were very flexible and helpful in tying up loose ends subsequently. Mother also receiving 4 daytime visits following hospital discharge. Nearly all the carers have been excellent and living up to the title of 'carer' - just one or two carers not quite reaching that level but Mum is always safe and looked after. Customer service was very good with helpful responses to our queries and comments. The app is very helpful - enables us to see the carers' reports after every visit and to see upcoming visits. All in all, we're very pleased with the service Abbots are providing and would recommend them.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that our service and care are meeting your expectations. Our team always strives to accommodate urgent requests to the best of our ability and we work closely with local authorities regarding hospital discharges to ensure...
Very impressive service and addressed our ever-changing requirements with excellent efficiency. We even changed requirements twice in a week and Abbotts were very accommodating with no fuss or bother. Abbots are always responsive to calls, texts and email communications. Invoicing/payments are accurate. There is an app to remotely check on daily visits as carers provide a brief and clear report after each visit. My mother likes the carers and often says how lovely they are. Excellent all-around care that I would recommend.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're truly delighted to hear that our team could step in and provide the support and care your mum needed. Knowing that we were able to go above and beyond for her is incredibly rewarding to our team. We're also glad to hear the Care Circle app offered you peace of mind, that connection and sense of being informed are exactly what we aim for.
I have received excellent advice and service from 2 members of staff with regard to increasing my mother's care to living care/or more hours. Very understanding and knowledgeable. They have both been very prompt with their answers. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. We're delighted to hear that you've received excellent service from our support team.
All the carers were nice and very helpful.
We are delighted to hear that you find our Care Workers friendly and helpful. Their dedication to providing excellent care and their commitment is a testament to the high standards we strive for in ensuring our Clients receive the best possible support.
Seeing me now compared to the state I was in a month ago, is testimony to the dedication, hard work, and expertise of your carers - they've in effect given me my life back and I'm very grateful to them - especially those who kept me going and gave me a positive attitude in hope in the early days. They are too numerous to mention though 6 of them in particular stand out, apologies to all those I've missed out.
It's heartwarming to hear how our Care Workers have positively impacted your recovery and outlook for the future. Their dedication and support have clearly made a difference in your journey. Your feedback is truly appreciated and motivates us to continue providing the best care possible for all our clients. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you Abbots Care.
Thank you for your review; it's wonderful to hear that you were supported well during your recovery at home post-hospital discharge. It's essential our clients receive compassionate care during such critical times, ensuring a smooth transition to home life. Your positive feedback motivates us to continue delivering high-quality care and support to all our clients.
Not once were her wishes or needs considered or listened to.
Every other country looks after their vulnerable and elderly people. Not Great Britain, it is all about how this service can make money. The care has gone out of this limited company, it is now just Abbots Care Ltd.
I thought that every care package was ‘person-centred care.’ This one is definitely not, it’s all about in and out in 15 minutes and then onto the next house.
A carer tried to show my daughter how to change the catheter bag and to dispense medication as they were short-staffed. You take on the contract, you should have a plan in place for staff absences. Shocking behaviour!
Thank you for your feedback, we are truly sorry and disappointed to hear that your experience with Abbots Care has not been at the standard expected. We are committed to resolving any issues our Clients have with our services and would like to discuss your concerns further. Our initial assumption...
Abbotts Care had the perfect service for my nan and made her feel at ease and comfortable. Always responsive and attentive. My nan who spoke little English was made to feel comfortable at each visit and thought a lot of the carers that were allocated to her. Our family couldn't be happier with the service provided, thank you so much. We would recommend Abbotts to anyone looking for a reliable, caring service for their loved ones.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. It's wonderful to hear that your nan was happy and also comfortable with the service provided by our care team. We are really proud of our caring and compassionate team who always go above and beyond to make sure our client's needs are met.
Abbots Care is a great company, when choosing them they did a great caring job for my mum and looked after her so well we didn't have to worry and we had the same carers which helped my mum who suffered from dementia, excellent staff and company.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really value all feedback. It's great to hear that you were happy with the care your mum received.
A great and caring provider. An excellent company. Staff and carers very trustworthy, honest and hard-working. The carers treated my mother very well and with dignity. So, no surprise that she felt so comfortable when they came to tend to her.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really value all feedback. We are delighted to hear that your experience with Abbots Care has been such a positive one.
Left a shocking review on another platform a few months ago and, instead of improving their services or even having the decency to reply to my emails or countless phone calls (approximately 10 in 4 days) everything has gone downhill. My husband is a complex care individual but they keep sending in inexperienced carers and domiciliaries with no training, no proactivity and not even basic common sense. One carer put soiled clothing in the tumble dryer instead of putting it into soak with disinfectant! Others have had the very basic training (3 days on video). So far, I believe we have had in at least 10 carers and more than 20 domiciliaries. After the last complaint, nothing was forthcoming in the promised 3 days and, even though I contacted Abbots direct to raise concern, I was given someone who should have been my point of contact who has neither had the decency to respond to my email of 5 days ago, nor my countless, time-wasting phone calls. An absolute disgrace to the ‘caring’ profession.
Thank you for your feedback regarding our care service. We would like to clarify and respectfully address your assertions. It's important to note, that we have indeed promptly addressed your concerns through our complaints process, ensuring appropriate actions to meet your husband's needs....
The round-the-clock care extended to my mother was exceptional. Abbotts meticulously vet their staff, and my mum was thoroughly content with her live-in carer. The support team handled the few issues we encountered, showcasing their proficiency.

Early days and second time post hospital your carers is generally more capable. Some are excellent (Romanian) pity I can't use her name. I appreciate those who ask if there “is anything I can do for you”.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really value all feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the level of care you are receiving, It's also great to hear our care team are going above and beyond their duties to make sure you are safe and well.

Meet the Team (4)
Together with my family, I founded Abbots Care in 1995 with a mission to provide the highest quality of home care and put Clients in charge of their own choices.
I have worked in the health and social care environment since 1988, as a Support Worker for adults and children, and then as a Care Manager with a national recruitment organisation before commencing with Abbots Care in 1995. I am an NVQ assessor, and a back-care trainer and have a Registered Manager's Award in Care.
I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 20 years. After starting my career working with children, I joined a national care recruitment organisation for the following 17 years, where I registered with CQC and started managing a complex care service to people within their own homes. I completed my level 5 in Leadership in Care Management Services and became a registered manager with CQC before joining Abbots Care as Operations Director.
With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, I have held various roles, including Care Worker, Senior Care Worker, Field Care Supervisor, and Care Coordinator. Currently as Care Director, I have gained Level 5 qualifications in Health and Social Care. I have received STEPs training and hold a Level 4 safeguarding certification. I find fulfillment in delivering compassionate care that enhances individuals’ quality of life
I am a dedicated and experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in the care sector. I have successfully transitioned from direct care provision to my current role as Reablement & Specialist Care Manager as well as registered Care Manager with the CQC for our Dorset and Buckinghamshire provision. My passion for delivering exceptional care and improving lives drives me to make a broader impact.
