Carers - can't fault them. Pleasant, very helpful, respectful.
Carers are lovely, always helpful and proactive.
Mum is very happy with the carers as we are too. Everyone is very helpful and attentive.
The carers are very professional and caring. It is unfortunate that the attitude of the office staff let the organisation down. They are rude, ignorant, uncaring, do not listen and have a bad attitude. If the recording on the phone is true and you record all conversations, I suggest you listen to them and train your clerical staff better, because it’s them that let your organisation down.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service. I am pleased to see that you received good care staff who were caring and professional. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the office staff and I would like to investigate this further if you would like to contact...
Avoid at all costs if you want to have management call you, arrange assessments, send you workers when you do not even have a contract or a correct care assessment. I went from notional payments to direct payments and I was the one chasing for things to be completed. Even if you email the MD with complaints, do not expect any type of response at all. The service you pay for is not delivered at all. For the amount they charge and pay their carers, they are getting a tidy profit they do not deserve at all. They used to be ok, but the last two years things have gone rapidly downhill. I’ve constantly been left without care when my regular Carer was away, even though I kept stating I wanted a contingency worker each time it was ignored. I finally had enough of being ignored by them all that I left. They actually do more harm than good, all because the office staff cannot complete tasks.
I'm sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with our service, we take all feedback and complaints from our customers seriously, investigate and respond, as we did with your complaint. We also aim to use valuable feedback from our customers to improve our service moving forward.

Every time we call the office the person in Charge is "in a meeting" regardless of when we call. Clearly, this is a mechanism to avoid the call.
Promises to call back never happen, which is unforgivable. My mother in law is contributing considerably to the cost of this home care and yet the client support is dreadful. Our concerns which we are trying to raise are critical to my mother in laws well-being and not trivial so I need head office staff to respond. Currently, we have been waiting three days for a callback.
Hello David, we are very sorry to hear this and we take these matters very seriously. Your concerns have been passed onto our Operations Manager at Head Office and we will be in touch regarding this. Kind regards, Abbots Care
My mother suffers with Dementia and is under the care of Abbots Care. Please avoid this agency. They do not arrive on time, they don't give the required tablets, they fail to contact you if there is any problems, management do not get back to you, there is no clear communication between management and care staff, they delete care calls from their system- resulting in missed medication. If you want your loved one cared for, please do not use this agency.
Hello Sarah, we are very sorry to hear about your experience. We will carry out a full investigation, and one of our senior managers will be in contact. At Abbots, we pride ourselves on our person-centred approach, and strong family values so we will ensure this is fully investigated and followed up.
My regular carer is polite, friendly, efficient and caring, It is nice to have a chat about various things once all my things are done. The regular carer gets on with her work but chats at the same time. My Saturday and Sunday carers are generally good but occasionally you get one who is in a hurry.
Very professional and friendly service.
I find most carers are caring and helpful and when necessary make sure early morning visits are made to cover important and special appointments.
Good sometimes. Not good at weekends as often late and stops me going to Church or to family and friends. Carers are all good. Telephone helpline often does not cancel when asked.
Thank you for the positive feedback regarding your carers and the level of service you are receiving from us. We are sorry to hear you have had issues with lateness at the weekend - this will be passed on to the branch manager and an investigation carried out as lateness is not something we tolerate.
We are very happy with the carers that attend my brother.
The care I have received from Abbotts has been quite satisfactory. Very polite and caring carers. Thank you all.
Carers are very friendly and caring. Built up a great rapport with them.
Carers are extremely good. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very friendly.
Standard meeting to go over care package. No changes required - the current team of staff working with my son have been in place for some time - therefore continuity offered in his package.
I usually have one carer who is excellent, but on the other times, some of the carers are a bit 'slapdash'. Sometimes if the carer is going to very late, the office should phone and let us know. Also, the new future weeks rota usually arrives halfway through that week which is wrong.
Thank you for the positive feedback about your regular care worker. With regards to a 'slapdash' service, this is not something we tolerate therefore this has been passed to our West Herts Branch Manager, who will contact you and investigate further. Kind regards, Abbots Care Team.
The carers who arrived were nice, however, the communication was not great whenever I needed to speak to the office. A man on the phone was rude, condescending and blatantly patronising on the phone, tired and uninterested.
Thank you for your feedback and please accept our sincere apologies for your experience. We are disappointed to hear you did not receive our usual high levels of customer service, and we will be investigating the matter. Kind regards, Abbots Care Team.
A good service is given. The main carer is very friendly.
I am pleased with the service I get. The carers are very good and mostly come on time. They are very friendly and I feel at ease with them.

Meet the Team (4)
Together with my family, I founded Abbots Care in 1995 with a mission to provide the highest quality of home care and put Clients in charge of their own choices.
I have worked in the health and social care environment since 1988, as a Support Worker for adults and children, and then as a Care Manager with a national recruitment organisation before commencing with Abbots Care in 1995. I am an NVQ assessor, and a back-care trainer and have a Registered Manager's Award in Care.
I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 20 years. After starting my career working with children, I joined a national care recruitment organisation for the following 17 years, where I registered with CQC and started managing a complex care service to people within their own homes. I completed my level 5 in Leadership in Care Management Services and became a registered manager with CQC before joining Abbots Care as Operations Director.
With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, I have held various roles, including Care Worker, Senior Care Worker, Field Care Supervisor, and Care Coordinator. Currently as Care Director, I have gained Level 5 qualifications in Health and Social Care. I have received STEPs training and hold a Level 4 safeguarding certification. I find fulfillment in delivering compassionate care that enhances individuals’ quality of life
I am a dedicated and experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in the care sector. I have successfully transitioned from direct care provision to my current role as Reablement & Specialist Care Manager as well as registered Care Manager with the CQC for our Dorset and Buckinghamshire provision. My passion for delivering exceptional care and improving lives drives me to make a broader impact.
