I am a new client, so it's been difficult to get a regular carer at 8a.m., the time I requested, so 6 different ones have come, but they are all very efficient and interesting ladies. I love having each of them to help me.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you've found all our carers to be efficient, supportive, and enjoyable to spend time with. As you are a new client, it can take a little time to establish a consistent visit schedule, especially at popular times such as...
I found them very friendly and helpful they put me at my ease and gave me confidence in achieving what I had to do.
If there's anything else we can support you with in the future, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
All staff at Candlelight Care were fantastic. All provided excellent care and support for my momther and us the family. My mother looked forward to their visits. Candlelight encouraged my mother to become active where possible.

All staff were kind, friendly, helpful and very professional. I was instantly put at ease and listened to. The team bridged the gap between barely coping and returning to a degree of normality. Thank you.
Our staff work hard to ensure every person in our care feels listened to, respected and reassured, so it is wonderful to know their kindness...
All of the ladies that came were very good, patient, kind and were always checking to see if there was anything else that I needed doing. Nice meeting them all and I was glad of them helping me when I came out of hospital.
We truly...
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Only thing was sometimes long wait in the mornings, and not sure what time to expect people to come in. Was a big help for me when I came out of hospital to have this help. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We're delighted to hear that our team were helpful and supported you well after your stay in hospital. We appreciate you highlighting the waits in the morning and the uncertainty around arrival times your comments help us improve, and we will review this...
From day 1, my father was in the best possible hands. All the carers were brilliant, caring, nurturing and most helpful. My father could not wish for better care and support. Nothing was too much for the carers to do and assist my father in every possible way. When he was admitted to the hospital, he kept asking to go home because 'my carers can look after me better'. Those are his own words. We (the whole family) can not thank you enough for the support and love he received. THANK YOU.
We are incredibly touched to hear that your father felt so well supported and comfortable with his carers. Knowing that he felt safe, cared for, and confident in the care he received...
I found all staff who visited me to be most respectful.
If there is ever anything more, we can do to support you, please dont hesitate to let us know.
The attitude and quality of the service continues to be of a good standard in the large majority of cases. The carers are well dressed and generally have a cheerful manner. They seem patient with my wife's difficulties and limitations, tackling new problems in their stride. The care plan is generally adhered to, any issues arising are discussed during the six monthly review, the plan being adjusted where necessary.
Thank you for the thorough and realistic review of the care we provide. I will ensure this is shared with your wife’s core team.
Staff always polite and cheerful. They come when they told me they would. They fed my husband, meals I prepared, again cheerfully & encouraging him to eat. They always treated him with respect, encouraged him to try to help himself - turn over - stand up using the Mackworth - attempting to climb.
Amazing review, thank you. We are proud of our Discharge to Assess Team, so much so, we will share your kind words with the team.
All caregivers that my mother met were wonderful, she had nothing but good things to say. The caregivers I met were kind and helpful and helped us through the tricky first week or two after my mother was discharged from hospital.
Thank you for leaving this review about our Discharge to Assess (D2A) team that visited you, We will share your feedback with your core team of enablers.

Candlelight are fantastic. Mum suffers with depression, anxiety and dementia. Under previous carers she was struggling massively and suicidal. Candlelight taken her on and the difference in mum has been amazing. They really care, mum is treated with respect, dignity and compassion and is absolutely thriving under them. She now smiles, talks and even laughs! We simply cannot thank them enough for all their support with mum. They are truly wonderful.
Thank you for the beautiful review and we are pleased to hear that mum started on the D2A (Discharge to Assess) service initially and then transferred over to our domiciliary (care at home) service. Was a joy to read about all the improvements mum had improved upon. I will share with her core teams, as it is important for them to know.
The carers were very helpful and I appreciate the help given. Many thanks.
Thank you for leaving your review, our records show that you were in receipt of the Discharge to Assess and our Domiciliary Care services and we are grateful for you taking the time to write this 5* review.

Meet the Team (5)
Sarah started her journey with Candlelight back in 2003. She began as a domiciliary carer and then transferred into the Live in department providing a service of 24-hour care and support.
This hands-on care experience set Sarah in good stead to progress into an office-based Care Coordinator role.
Sarah was able to gain the knowledge and skills and complete various qualifications along the way that then provided her with an opportunity to progress into a management role.
In 2021, Sarah was awarded her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and was successful in becoming Candlelight’s Discharge to Assess manager. This role brought with it a focus on partnership working and a patient-focused, person-centred approach to regaining independence.
In February 2022, Sarah gained her CQC Registration, enabling the D2A service at Candlelight to have its own dedicated Registered Manager.
Sarah has had many opportunities to progress at Candlelight, and her most recent achievement is being appointed as the new Business and Development Manager.
In her own time, Sarah enjoys films, cooking and travelling.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and grandchildren and going on walks.
Elaine Frost Joined Candlelight as a Care Support in 2013, In 2021 she joined the Care Assessor team and then progressed in April 2024 to a Care Co-Ordinator.

As our Recruitment Officer, Roxanne (Roxy) helps us to find new care and support staff to look after our clients in their own homes. In addition to posting new jobs on job sites, social media, and other outlets, she attends recruitment fairs and is constantly looking for ways to improve our recruitment process. She supports our potential new employees from the moment they apply for a job until they are invited for an interview, answering their questions, chasing up CVs and applications, and sometimes meeting for an informal chat in person or on the phone.
Away from the office, Roxy is a member of the Mere Amateur Dramatics society, which put on two productions a year in the Spring and Autumn. She has always loved performing and studied Acting at University, where she was able to tour regionally and Internationally in their productions.
