Home First - A fantastic team of carers. I could not wish for any better treatment for my wife. They treated my wife with love and dedication and nothing which was asked for was any trouble to them ie creaming her body, washing her hair, making sure she was comfortable at all times and also they cared for me, her husband, every day.
Thank you so much for the kind words about our Home First team, I will make sure I share them with the team as a whole. Please accept our sincere condolences for the passing of your wife, I know the team were very fond of you both and felt it was a real privilege that they had the opportunity of getting to know you both. Take care and keep safe.
I have been consistently amazed by the thoughtful and caring attitude of everyone who has been looking after me. Everyone has been so extremely kind and patient, which has helped my recovery so much. In fact, as I didn't really know how the leg surgery would affect me, I can honestly say without your help, this last month could have been an absolute nightmare. So thank you all so very much.
Thank you for leaving this amazing review of your experience of using our services. We are so lucky to have such an amazing and skilled team. I have shared the compliment with them all.
They were all very friendly and kind and they really cared for my mum.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Your mum came to us initially via our Home First (Discharge to Assess) team, after being discharged from hospital. Your mum then moved over to our domiciliary care service for her ongoing care needs to be met. It is a real success when clients move between our services and stay within our Company. I will share the compliment with both of the teams.
All of the staff who visited were really professional, very helpful, all nice people and very reassuring.
Thank you for leaving a review about our Home First /Discharge to Assess team, a specialised team that helps you regain your independence when arriving back home from your stay in hospital. I will share your kind words with the Team.
All the care and help was excellent as I had two broken wrists.

All paperwork and medical sheets were very clear. Messages to all carers were passed on in a clear, correct way. I couldn't ask for better. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the beautiful compliment about our Home First/D2A team (Discharge to Assess). I will share the compliment with the team as it is important for them to know as they provide an amazing and responsive service in helping people readjust back into their home and regain their independence after being in hospital.
The care my father received was first class. His carers went above and beyond not only helping him but me as well. Nothing was too much trouble. This made his transition from hospital to home far easier, speeding up his recovery. Thank you.

I would like to say that the carers are exceptional in their care and good-natured humanity and are a great credit to Candlelight. Most of the other carers do a very good professional job.

I found every member of the team was very personable and helpful. Although I personally needed very little help only the commode cleaned twice a day. The visits were most welcome and help was offered daily. This six-week plan gave me the opportunity to stay in my home and I cannot thank everyone enough!

I met three care people and they were all so friendly. They couldn't do enough for me. Sorted out all my problems for me. Made sure all my medications are all in control. They stayed with me for three weeks every day. Making sure I could cope with all the necessary chores I needed to do. We had some good laughs and a few cups of tea together. Really so friendly. I still miss them.
Thank you so much for leaving this review about our Home First Reablement Team, they all do an amazing job and I have shared your kind words with the team members today.
Mum came out of hospital September 2019. I never met any staff as I live in London, but I had contact with both the office and one of the carers. If there was a problem they didn't hesitate to contact me. They went above and beyond the call of duty and for this I will be forever grateful. They were all very caring. Mum at times was very confused, they were so patient with her, giving her lots of reassurance and support. Sadly in November Mum returned to hospital where she sadly passed two weeks later. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for those kind words, we have shared them with your mum's core team. Sending our condolences.

Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased to hear that our service is most certainly meeting your needs.
They gradually got me to negotiate the steps down into the garage and also the steps into the front door. They walked with me when outside.
The service you received was from our Home First Reablement Team. It seems to us that you have exceeded your goals which is fantastic news. I will share your kind words with your two carers who helped you regain your confidence. Thank you
We have been using the service to help with showering twice a week and it has been both successful and supportive. Carers are generally on time and complete tasks with enthusiasm and sensitivity.
Thank you for leaving these kind words, as a review of our services to you. I have today shared this with the team too.

Sarah started her journey with Candlelight back in 2003. She began as a domiciliary carer and then transferred into the Live in department providing a service of 24-hour care and support.
This hands-on care experience set Sarah in good stead to progress into an office-based Care Coordinator role.
Sarah was able to gain the knowledge and skills and complete various qualifications along the way that then provided her with an opportunity to progress into a management role.
In 2021, Sarah was awarded her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and was successful in becoming Candlelight’s Discharge to Assess manager. This role brought with it a focus on partnership working and a patient-focused, person-centred approach to regaining independence.
In February 2022, Sarah gained her CQC Registration, enabling the D2A service at Candlelight to have its own dedicated Registered Manager.
Sarah has had many opportunities to progress at Candlelight, and her most recent achievement is being appointed as the new Business and Development Manager.
In her own time, Sarah enjoys films, cooking and travelling.

In addition to posting new jobs on job sites, social media, and other outlets, she attends recruitment fairs and is constantly looking for ways to improve our recruitment process. She supports our potential new employees from the moment they apply for a job until they are invited for an interview, answering their questions, chasing up CVs and applications, and sometimes meeting for an informal chat in person or on the phone.
Away from the office, Roxy is a member of the Mere Amateur Dramatics society, which put on two productions a year in the Spring and Autumn. She has always loved performing and studied Acting at University, where she was able to tour regionally and Internationally in their productions.
