We got off to a bad start when she said straight-faced that I should be a woman with a name like mine. Then she started shouting at me for no good reason, before leaving without doing anything.
The ratings below relate solely to today’s experience.
They are all very friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend them.
Thank you for your kind words, we will make sure to let the staff know.
I had Candlelight Care for 5 weeks after being discharged from hospital. The first phone call from the discharge assessor was excellent. She was very helpful, polite and friendly. I had different carers, throughout the 5 weeks. Every one of them is friendly and professional. I can’t thank them all enough. Thanks to everyone at the Glastonbury branch.
Candlelight Care were put in place for a couple of weeks to help with my mobility and with their help, I am able to cope on my own. Thank you all, everyone who visited me was helpful, kind and caring.
Thank you for leaving these kind words about our discharge to assess team. Glad to hear that you are back to being independent again. Have shared this compliment with the team who visited you.
Had a carer for less than a week and not always the same one. Hardly time to form an opinion.
The service you received was from our D2A Reablement team and therefore, once your goals had been met and you were back being independent, the service finished. Hence the shortness of time. The reablement team is a small select team and we cannot provide continuity of care, as it is dependent on how many patients are on the service in any one day.
Beyond the ratings, the extraordinary features of Candlelight Care enablers were their willing availability and reliability. Despite road closures, they always found their way to provide personal service. Forever helpful and supportive, offering useful suggestions working towards me becoming more independent. We knew we were tapping into the genuine experience and appreciated the fact. We commend them all. Thank you Candlelight.
Thank you for the positive review about our discharge to assess service, it is always good to receive. I will share this with the enabler to let them know of your appreciation.
I have only been a 'short-term' client of Candlelight Care, I cannot praise your staff enough! without exception, they have all been brilliant! So kind and understanding of my medical problems and of my ability to move forward at the moment. Thank you all, very much for everything!
Thank you for leaving this review about our D2A (Discharge to Assess) team and I will ensure your review is shared with the team members.
Having returned home from hospital after recovering from a bad fall (fracturing pelvic bone) my homecare was organised. I found all the carers so kind and they allowed me to do as much as I felt able to. Encouraging me to be as independent as I could. After three weeks, I am able to wash and shower. I would certainly recommend this company with their bright and happy carers.
Thank you for leaving this beautiful review about our discharge to assess (D2A) team who have reabled you to become independent again in such a short time. They do amazing work with patients leaving hospital and regaining life skills.
Right from the day my wife came out of the hospital, the organisation and introductions were efficient and very helpful. All the staff were very good, we came into contact with two individuals who were particularly outstanding and professional.
Every one of the carers was very lovely and did the caring for me very well. I will miss them all very much. They did all I asked them to do for me and more if I want you all again, I hope I can please. Please forgive me, I am not very good at this and I can't think of anything else but I will miss them all.
I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Thank you for your kind words and recommending Candlelight Care. Much appreciated.
Looked after me very well as was unable to get about and fend for myself!
Thank you for leaving the review about our D2A team. I have shared your kind words with the team, as it is important for them to know.
The care provision was sympathetic, friendly and professional at all times, on a daily basis, throughout five weeks.

The carer was very supportive of my requirements, she was friendly and helped out with any questions we had.
Though must admit all the carer's we've seen are very friendly and committed.
Our records show that you were initially on the Home First service, helping you home from hospital and then later transferred over to our domiciliary care service. Thank you for your kind words which I have shared with both teams that visited you.
Outstanding service. Each member of the Candlelight team was exceptional, extremely sensitive, attentive and professional. From the first day I was discharged from hospital the supervisor visited and organised any equipment I should need for my mobility and rehabilitation. From that day on I was greeted by a team member in a positive, kind and supportive manner. I am truly thankful for the care and company.
Thank you so much for the kind words in your review. Our home first/discharge to assess team are an amazing team, delivering an amazing service to help people return back home from hospital. I have today shared your kind words with them all. Thank you again.
Visited Candlelight in Glastonbury, we were both made very welcome by everybody in the office. The lady we discussed my mother and father (both with dementia) with was very helpful and made some very useful suggestions to help reassure us and direct us to the proper channels for advice. Excellent.
Thank you for your kind words, our office staff are unsung heroes and it is nice to see a compliment come in specifically for them. I have shared the compliment with the team.
Quick, efficient, caring, thorough, polite, clean.
Thank you for leaving these kind key-words to form your review of our services. We love receiving the feedback.
The carers are all very willing to help, they make me comfortable and enable me to stay in my own home.
Thank you for those kind words, which we have shared with the team.

Sarah was able to gain the knowledge and skills and complete various qualifications along the way that then provided her with an opportunity to progress into a management role.
In 2021, Sarah was awarded her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and was successful in becoming Candlelight’s Discharge to Assess manager. This role brought with it a focus on partnership working and a patient-focused, person-centred approach to regaining independence.
In February 2022, Sarah gained her CQC Registration, enabling the D2A service at Candlelight to have its own dedicated Registered Manager.
