Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words about our staff who delivered our services to your husband.
Caring and kind. Understanding and patient.
Thank you so much for the kind words about our staff who provide our services to you. So pleased to hear everything is going well for you.
I was discharged from the hospital on 2nd July after major surgery. I was fatigued and not having the help I had hoped for. The person doing my review arranged the time on pm on the 18th July. There were a lot of questions and I found it tiring and hard. She informed me she had to collect her children, so the part about my medical problems was rushed. I have complex needs, physical ones. She only ticked a box 'anxiety' and asked me to sign. Her superior tells me I can have it completed but I have not heard anymore yet.
I was really saddened to read your review, however, I have shared the content with the Registered Manager and asked her to follow this up with the staff member in question. Please accept our sincere apologies for any upset caused.
Experience with three different live-in carers. They were all helpful to me, but none of them was able to get through to my husband to do any personal care. He has Alzheimer's and can be very obstinate. Another carer who comes for one morning each week (sitting in service) has been extremely helpful and does much more than just 'sit in'.
Mum is now very happy with her care. She says she would like to be more independent but her memory on how to do things is not good. When the carers come in, they seem to cheer her up.
I have found Candlelight Care friendly and helpful. The carers are excellent and understanding with one or two exceptions but the office allows for this and doesn't send anyone if not asked to. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Wow! Thank you for wanting to highly recommend us, that we as a Company to others who may read our reviews. Thank you, we are pleased that you are pleased with the service being delivered to you.
My wife is my principal carer and has to come to me every time I need to get up or sit down or go to the toilet and the time they are here enables her to catch up with other jobs.
Thank you for submitting your review, we are pleased to hear that you feel you are receiving excellent care and support from your core team and that the package of care allows your wife some respite from her caring duties towards you.
The carers have always provided my aunt with the care we have asked, which is not always easy with her condition. They are always on time and reliable. They have contacted me when they have been concerned with anything and will let us know anything they may need by leaving a note. My only concern is that we haven't been contacted or included in any reviews, which would be helpful for feedback from them as to any issues or concerns brought up.
Thank you for this positive review, it is very much appreciated. I have passed your concert to the Registered Manager to action and please accept our sincere apologies that this has not happened. Hopefully, you will see this changing shortly.
Everything they do for me is excellent. Most of the time their time keeping is excellent, all care they give me is excellent.
Thank you for leaving this review and giving us an excellent rating. We are pleased our services excel in meeting your needs.
My carer is a very special person full of integrity, honesty and compassion. I trusted her implicitly. Given the gulf of cultural, social, economic, political and linguistic differences, with good will and good heart, her work as a carer has been very helpful to me. She is a very caring person. Nothing is too much trouble for her.
Thank you for the beautiful compliment you have made about your regular care and support worker. It is always lovely to hear, especially when it comes directly from a client. Thank you
Very professional and always friendly and caring.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our staff, we too are very proud of them.
The carers have been very kind to Dad and he has enjoyed their company. They have mostly been very thorough and reliable.
Thank you for leaving this positive review on behalf of your dad. It is lovely to hear that he has enjoyed their visits too.
I find your care very good and staff are so helpful and can't do enough for me. The staff are very good and helpful and make me feel so much better as my health varies and I always look forward to a visit from your team. I hope your quality of care continues as I am not well at times but I always strive to be willing to cope with the grand service you provide. I hope the excellent care carries on.
Thank you so much for leaving this exceptionally positive review of the services that we provide for you. It is always great too when it is the client that leaves the review.
My mother-in-law has some exceptionally good regular carers. However, when they are not available it is a little more hit and miss she makes it clear who she likes most and responds well and some of those carers go above and beyond expectations.
Thank you for taking the time in leaving this review. We know the continuity of care is important to our clients, it is important to us too. However, regrettably, it can go a bit 'hit and miss' as you put it when staff are on leave, as lots of re-planning needs to happen.
Being my first experience I have had nothing but good care and help.
Thank you for the lovely compliment. We appreciate being in receipt of a care package for the first time is a very daunting experience - we are pleased that you are pleased with the service being provided.
We have had a few issues with one of the carers, but this has been sorted by staff and hopefully, we will be back to the standard of care that Candlelight have previously provided.
We do acknowledge that we don't always get it right, however, I am pleased to hear that the issue has been sorted out swiftly for you. Thank you for the feedback.
He likes it now he is getting to see more of the same carers each time, being a person with dementia confuses him to see different faces that he doesn't know.
From my point of view, it helps me as he will play me up, but knowing they are coming makes him get up out of bed.
Thank you for those kind words. Continuity of care is important for us as a company and our coordinators work hard to ensure this happens whenever it is reasonably practical for them to do. Your husband obviously looks forward to their visits.
This was my first introduction to having a carer and naturally. I was a bit nervous, anyhow I must say it all went very well. The regular male carer was so helpful, friendly and caring and I cannot praise him and the company enough. It took so much pressure away from my family.
Thank you for leaving this compliment about one of our Home First Reablement team member, I am so pleased to learn that you have been happy with the service you received.
We find the carers are caring and do a very good job in the time allowed. Always try to be pleasant even if they have had a hard day. It seems an impossible task to find a parking spot and see to the client in the time allowed but they always seem to arrive with a smile on their faces which is a positive start.
Thank you for submitting your review, our staff are our most important resources. Parking can be a problem for them sometimes but glad to hear they arrive with smiles on their faces.

Sarah started her journey with Candlelight back in 2003. She began as a domiciliary carer and then transferred into the Live in department providing a service of 24-hour care and support.
This hands-on care experience set Sarah in good stead to progress into an office-based Care Coordinator role.
Sarah was able to gain the knowledge and skills and complete various qualifications along the way that then provided her with an opportunity to progress into a management role.
In 2021, Sarah was awarded her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and was successful in becoming Candlelight’s Discharge to Assess manager. This role brought with it a focus on partnership working and a patient-focused, person-centred approach to regaining independence.
In February 2022, Sarah gained her CQC Registration, enabling the D2A service at Candlelight to have its own dedicated Registered Manager.
Sarah has had many opportunities to progress at Candlelight, and her most recent achievement is being appointed as the new Business and Development Manager.
In her own time, Sarah enjoys films, cooking and travelling.
