The care and attention that my mum received from the carers was very good and mum felt they were her friends. The care manager and assistant care manager were helpful and knowledgeable, office manager and scheduling support were helpful and friendly. Always at the end of the phone to support and advise.

I am so pleased that I discovered Home Instead. I'm confident of the care my Mum receives from the staff who have taken time to get to know her and us as a family. My Mother is comfortable with the carers and that was my priority. I'm also really pleased with the management of her care as I can talk
to the manager easily and quickly to resolve problems and they are spot on with any account issues. Would highly recommend them!

The support provided by Home Instead and its staff is exemplary. They have always been polite, supportive and flexible, always aiming to put their client first. I feel my mother and I have a trusting relationship with staff and personally feel my mother is in safe hands whether she is going shopping
or attending a medical appointment. Staff have demonstrated their professional skills to ensure her appointments are managed well with relevant information passed back to myself. My Mother really enjoys their company, always says she has a great time during visits and says 'we always have a laugh'. Thank you.

I write as the daughter of elderly, frail parents who have both cognitive and physical health needs. In my experience, true caring is not a skill that all professionals posses; it cannot be taught or put into words.
Home Instead, however, truly knows how to care. From frontline carers to office staff
and management they have been absolutely superb.
They have supported my parents and by definition the whole family. They have travelled with us on our journey so far despite all our ups and downs, adapting their role to our needs as we go along. Initially, they supported with shopping and domestic duties and eventually moved on to providing daily personal care and monitoring.
They are flexible, understanding and professional and have gone out of their way at times to meet our needs.
A great support and comfort to all our family. We are so thankful to have found them.

I don't know where to start in praising Home Instead. There have been so many situations over the past months that without their professionalism, care, attention to detail, warmth and common sense everything would have gone pear-shaped.


The carers and back office staff are all lovely and their reactivity

and adaptability have been admirable, all the while remaining focused on the welfare of my mum, but also on the rest of the family and our circumstances.

Mum was very pleased with the standard of care she received. The family were also very happy with the services that the designated carer provided to Mum. Following a small price rise and to the disappointment of the family, Mum decided that she had other priorities to spend her money on.

This was my first contact with a care provider and I have nothing but praise for the professional and caring manner in which they looked after my father and reassured my mother that she was doing the right thing in seeking help. From the first contact with Home Instead right through to the transfer
of my father into permanent residential care the staff were as considerate as we could have wished. We had to make changes to arrangements, often at the last minute, to cope with hospital visits and respite breaks and nothing was too much trouble. At the end of the day the key relationship was that between the individual carer and my father and, although naming individuals are avoided in these reviews, I just hope that she reads this and recognises the description of herself - friendly, caring, professional, knowledgeable and with the knack of "jollying along" my father to ensure that he remained safe, well and lovingly cared for. It has been a pleasure writing this review.

The care provided by the staff enabled my mother to retain a degree of independence in her flat for about a year. This was significant not only in providing for her domestic needs - getting her up, washed, dressed and fed - but also in providing a genuinely caring relationship which never felt like
it was merely that of client and provider. This was true of all of the staff involved on a day to day basis. The genuine concern of the management for my mother was also noteworthy and occasional unsolicited calls were a welcome indication that it mattered personally that she was being looked after. In hindsight, we were fortunate in alighting on Home Instead as the first agency who could meet her needs at short notice and although others pointed to cheaper agencies they have proved that the adage "you get what you pay for" is in this instance, a sound one. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Home Instead took great care matching the caregivers to my mum's needs and personality.
She considers the caregivers to be good friends. The rest of the family felt the same way.
All members of the family were kept informed about any issues relating to mum.
The very professional and dependable care
provided by the Home Instead caregivers has enabled mum to remain in her own home for much longer than we thought possible.

My experience with Home Instead was very professional and extremely caring. They went way above my expectations and made my mother very comfortable, I had to extend the visits to my mother twice a day, everything was so easy and not a problem, I was so comfortable knowing she was in good hands, especially
when I lived abroad. The management emailed me at least twice a week to give me an update, and my mother loved her carer who was perfect for her personality.

I chose Home Instead, Oldham & Saddleworth to care for mum after reading reviews on the company. From the initial contact to assess the care required, through to mums end of life palliative care, the service was of the highest professional standard.
Mum had regular caregivers, essential as she suffered
from dementia each bringing something different in terms of personality, humour and friendship along with a genuinely caring approach ensuring mums dignity at all times.
In addition, the care managers and office based staff were always prompt and efficient in dealing with requests. The whole team worked positively alongside other health care professionals to ensure the best possible end of life care for mum. Many thanks for making it possible to keep mum at home until the end, just as she and we wished.
For anyone with the decision to make between 'home care' and 'care home,' it is possible to choose 'home care' and have total peace of mind with support from the team at Home Instead.

Home Instead supported my Mum for a number of years, having a core team of carers who knew Mum well was always reassuring both to her and her family. I was impressed by the genuine care provided, particularly the caregivers' focus on maintaining Mum's dignity at all times which was so important to her.

Home instead provided care to my mum between September 2015 and March 2016 until she went into a nursing home. The care they provided was excellent.From the initial meeting with the Manager,who clearly understood the type of care we wanted for mum (who had advancing dementia) we were reassured that
this was a company who provided quality care. The carers were kept to the same ones so that my mum was able to develop a relationship with them and felt safe and secure. From previous experience,other agencies do not go to this effort and send a variety of different carers in with different levels of skills -in short,they were awful. Although Home instead were more expensive,we knew this was because of the quality of care they provided and in my opinion they were more than worth this extra cost. The carers who visited my mum were fantastic and were kind and caring people,obviously in the right job. I believed they genuinely cared about Mum's welfare.
