The only problem that we have had is as my mother will require more care, so the cost will increase and we are already finding this a bit difficult to manage with the cost of the services provided.

I would recommend Home Instead without reservation. The care manager listened to our needs and concerns in order to offer us the most appropriate service and the care workers were kind, compassionate and cheerful - just what mum needed after a traumatic accident. A professional organisation with client care at its heart.

The consistency of care has been amazing, you don’t realise how well they do everything until you have experience of other organisations. I believe it’s the management systems in place which ensure the workers are able to get on and do the job they are employed for. Mum didn’t want carers but it was so nice to read what she got up to when we didn’t go. Apologies to the lovely carers for always being referred to as the cleaner, it was the only way she would let them in initially.

I consider myself very lucky to have good friends coming daily. I know they care. Please note 'friends'.

A most caring, helpful and friendly agency. My mother-in-law speaks very highly of her cleaner, who thankfully was so concerned to inform us when she was ill.

The care and attention that my mum received from the carers was very good and mum felt they were her friends. The care manager and assistant care manager were helpful and knowledgeable, office manager and scheduling support were helpful and friendly. Always at the end of the phone to support and advise.

I am so pleased that I discovered Home Instead. I'm confident of the care my Mum receives from the staff who have taken time to get to know her and us as a family. My Mother is comfortable with the carers and that was my priority. I'm also really pleased with the management of her care as I can talk to the manager easily and quickly to resolve problems and they are spot on with any account issues. Would highly recommend them!

The support provided by Home Instead and its staff is exemplary. They have always been polite, supportive and flexible, always aiming to put their client first. I feel my mother and I have a trusting relationship with staff and personally feel my mother is in safe hands whether she is going shopping or attending a medical appointment. Staff have demonstrated their professional skills to ensure her appointments are managed well with relevant information passed back to myself. My Mother really enjoys their company, always says she has a great time during visits and says 'we always have a laugh'. Thank you.

I don't know where to start in praising Home Instead. There have been so many situations over the past months that without their professionalism, care, attention to detail, warmth and common sense everything would have gone pear-shaped.

The carers and back office staff are all lovely and their reactivity and adaptability have been admirable, all the while remaining focused on the welfare of my mum, but also on the rest of the family and our circumstances.

Home Instead Senior Care (Oldham & Saddleworth) are both efficient and well organised as well as being sensitive to each individual needs. Mum was very pleased with the standard of care she received. The family were also very happy with the services that the designated carer provided to Mum. Following a small price rise and to the disappointment of the family, Mum decided that she had other priorities to spend her money on.

This was my first contact with a care provider and I have nothing but praise for the professional and caring manner in which they looked after my father and reassured my mother that she was doing the right thing in seeking help. From the first contact with Home Instead right through to the transfer of my father into permanent residential care the staff were as considerate as we could have wished. We had to make changes to arrangements, often at the last minute, to cope with hospital visits and respite breaks and nothing was too much trouble. At the end of the day the key relationship was that between the individual carer and my father and, although naming individuals are avoided in these reviews, I just hope that she reads this and recognises the description of herself - friendly, caring, professional, knowledgeable and with the knack of "jollying along" my father to ensure that he remained safe, well and lovingly cared for. It has been a pleasure writing this review.

The care provided by the staff enabled my mother to retain a degree of independence in her flat for about a year. This was significant not only in providing for her domestic needs - getting her up, washed, dressed and fed - but also in providing a genuinely caring relationship which never felt like it was merely that of client and provider. This was true of all of the staff involved on a day to day basis. The genuine concern of the management for my mother was also noteworthy and occasional unsolicited calls were a welcome indication that it mattered personally that she was being looked after. In hindsight, we were fortunate in alighting on Home Instead as the first agency who could meet her needs at short notice and although others pointed to cheaper agencies they have proved that the adage "you get what you pay for" is in this instance, a sound one. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

My experience with Home Instead was very professional and extremely caring. They went way above my expectations and made my mother very comfortable, I had to extend the visits to my mother twice a day, everything was so easy and not a problem, I was so comfortable knowing she was in good hands, especially when I lived abroad. The management emailed me at least twice a week to give me an update, and my mother loved her carer who was perfect for her personality.

For anyone with the decision to make between 'home care' and 'care home,' it is possible to choose 'home care' and have total peace of mind with support from the team at Home Instead.

The service that Dad received was of a good standard and the carers were dependable and reliable. Every effort was made to ensure that the care was adapted to the individual's needs as necessary, and that the carers were people that Dad got along with and liked.
