My father has been receiving personal care from TLC Homecare - Barnsley for over 12 months now. The carers are always polite and professional and my father looks forward to their visits 3 times a week. The treatment he receives is excellent and contributes to maintaining one of his health conditions. This service and the visits provide additional reassurance to his family.

Mum is 91 years of age, blind and has many different health issues and needs. The TLC ladies who care for her are absolutely amazing. The support they give is exemplary and they are professional, caring, efficient and caring and we cannot thank them enough. My husband only had TLC Homecare Ltd for a very short time, as he was taken into hospital and sadly died on 29th June 2021. In the short time he was cared for by them, the carers were all very kind and cheerful and even made him laugh at times. They were also very supportive of me during that short spell, when I needed someone to listen to my concerns. I can't thank them enough.

Always very helpful, carry out work in a professional standard. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
My mum has six carers a day so it's difficult to review the whole service, we find some carers are excellent and really care about my mum but others see this as a job and ask to leave as soon as it's possible. My mum has Parkinson's and needs her meds every three hours, we found some carers come over an hour early and some late. My mum would go anything between two and a half hours to four and a half hours between calls.

The carers are all very polite and respectful as well as caring. I had a small group of 4-5 who were attending on a regular basis, however, this group seems to have got larger, which is not quite as good. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the service I am receiving.

Meet the Team (1)
I'm Sarah, a care coordinator covering the Cudworth, Town, Darton, Worsbrough, plus any other areas of Barnsley in between.
I never thought of ever getting into care work until the horrible COVID-19 struck, and I couldn't do my previous job. I felt grounded and needed to get out of the house. I then saw a job for home care and thought I'd give that a go! I fell in love with care so much that I gave up my other job and became a team leader, and then, due to hard work, dedication and transferable skills, I became a care coordinator. I joined Choices due to the positive things I had heard and the career progression that is offered. Since starting, I have never looked back and can't wait to see where this journey will take me.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my beautiful little boy and husband.
