My mum has always been a very private person, and I didn't expect her to be keen on having someone provide 'companionship'. However, her carer has been amazing and Mum really does seem to look forward to her visits. She talks to Mum about all sorts of things, really takes on board the things that interest Mum - for example recommending authors (and bringing books into Mum) and teaching Mum to crochet (perhaps less successful). All in all great for Mum - and for me.

The main objective of me using Home Instead was to give my wife (who has dementia) full support two days a week to enable me to work for the sake of my sanity. I never had to worry about her on those days, and I shall remain extremely grateful for the freedom I was given on those days, by Home Instead of doing all I expected.

I am writing this on behalf of my wife, who I am sure would agree with my comments. My lovely wife passed away on the 7th of August 2019. She was lucky to have one of your carers for two months before she died. The lady who came to our home was excellent she brought a smile to my wife's face even through the pain and for this, I will be forever grateful. She was present the morning my wife went into the hospital and held her hand until she left. I left the carer in my home, and she ensured it was locked up and safe.

The carers who came in were always sympathetic and very helpful. Willing to do anything to support us also, a very reliable service. They took my mum out for a walk or for a coffee and other times helped with household chores eg washing up and ironing.

In all the time we have received the services of Home Instead, we have been extremely pleased with the service provided. The people attending our home have always been well presented, polite and very attentive. We have always been able to quickly establish a good "rapport" with the staff. The office has also been very helpful at all times. Very well done!!

After an extremely traumatic time for our family, Home Instead supported us and our parents with home care ableing dad to be discharged from hospital. The care afforded to our parents who both have dementia was fantastic. They also had time to support us. We have recommended the team to others. The carers took time to sit and chat with mum and dad and not rush away to another call.
They treated them with dignity and as people, not a number.

Thank you.

Every effort is made to ensure that the client is as happy as possible. It is easy to access staff. Should there be a need to talk about any issue. Senior staff are as equally helpful as any of the other staff. It is reassuring to know that staff receive regular training and are achieving standards and goals set by the company. Over time care given can make a big difference. I have certainly found this to be true.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother. Mum and myself have found Home Instead very kind and caring, very polite. I watch the sitter, they are very caring to mum. She is 90 years old, can hardly move legs and arms. She's always smiling when they call. We have a lady for companionship for mum. Always nice and polite.

Ben Ruddle

Residing in Bridgend with his wife and children, Ben is dedicated to forging community connections and identifying individuals in need of our support. His academic background in Accounting at Lancashire University laid the groundwork for a multifaceted career, including financial consultancy and property investment.

Ben's motivation to begin operating in the care sector began following a poignant personal experience — witnessing the inadequate care available to his 98-year-old grandfather living with dementia, an area of expertise for Home Instead. Ben was most displeased by the task-oriented approach to care, as he strongly believed in the need to recognise clients as individuals and provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Motivated by a desire to redefine care standards, Ben established a Swansea branch of Home Instead. Here, the emphasis lies in person-centred care meticulously crafted to meet each client's unique needs and desires.

Recognising Home Instead's unparalleled commitment to compassion and individualised care, Ben was drawn to its distinctive approach, where service quality takes precedence above all else.
