Home Instead provide a home-cooked lunch for my parents each day. Contact with the office is easy and staff are helpful. A daily log is available so I can see what they have eaten and if there were any issues my parents are happy to have this support and I was able to go away for a few days knowing someone would be calling on them each day. We are
We have used this company since last June 2017. I find the carers helpful and caring towards my husband. However, as they change frequently I have to remind them about certain aspects. I usually get treated properly by management and staff but often have to ring to remind them about things.
I have received excellent care and service i.e house cleaning and transport to shops etc. For nearly nine years.
I am enjoying the company of my caregiver.
I get on well with them all.
I feel as if I have known them for years.
Friendly, thoughtful.
Very secure and caring and you get to know the carers, they are like good friends family on first name basis
It felt like they really cared for their clients. A couple came to my mothers funeral which meant a lot.
Home Instead came to my rescue by providing my elderly mother, who has dementia, with companionship and regular trips to visit family in residential homes. Or sometimes would take her simply for coffee and a natter. It has brightened up a long week for her, giving her something to look forward to. All the staff from Home Instead have proved themselves to be professional, courteous and respectful to my mother and myself.
We have been using Home Instead for the last twelve months and have found them to be very professional. The regular carers visiting my father have built up a good bond with him and overall the team of carers and management have been very reliable.
All the carers are friendly/helpful and gently caring to my wife, who suffers with dementia, aged 84.
The care depends on which staff are on. They very considerably as I have lost my sight I need a lot of help. I don't like changes, especially with staff. I don't have long enough to get used to their voices.
Absolutely first rate care from all the caregivers. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They always respond with compassion and care to the changing needs of my elderly mother and aunt. I cannot recommend them highly enough. In addition, the admin team is supportive and proactive and always on hand to give advice and help.
I have always found admin staff and care staff very helpful and caring. There have been some problems with scheduling, but staff have done their best to resolve them. My father is 93 with early stages of dementia - it is very important that he likes and knows the people who look after him. Therefore, I feel there should be more flexibility in Home Instead's procedures - he would rather pay for 30 minutes with a carer he knows and likes, but be charged for an hour, rather than have someone that he is not comfortable with. I also understand that carers are only paid per hour plus travelling and feel they need to be paid a salary - this hopefully would ease the high staff turnover.
I have had the usual excellent service to a high standard.
Prior to using this service, a social services care package was initiated but were overstretched, understaffed and with irregular times and a variety of carers, my mother was extremely distressed.
Now she is a more settled and happier person.
During the last 3 years, I have been reasonably satisfied by the service provided my the carers.
As the daughter of the client, I find myself in a difficult situation when I approached Home Instead for help. I live approximately 90/100 miles away and look after my grandchild most days. My mother relied upon me to visit her and I was feeling guilty not being able to give her the attention that she needed.
It has been a marvellous help for me that she had had someone to visit/take an interest/take her out twice a month. I have met the carers/staff and have been very impressed on how kind and obliging they have been and have been highly delighted with the service.
Home Instead provide 4 hours of care every Thursday to give me respite for my husband to allow me some free time to myself and shop and socialise.
Mum and dad are very happy with Home Instead. All staff are friendly and reliable.
My carer takes me to the bank and to the surgery. He loves weekly shopping at the local co-op shop and he supervises when I shower.
Home Instead have provided outstanding support for both my parents for the past 5 or so years. Both office staff and caregivers have been consistently thorough, helpful, professional and above all else, very caring and supportive. To be highly recommended.
Dad is finding it difficult to adjust to Alzheimer's. He gets frustrated and he is lonely since his wife died earlier this year. He cared for my mum for 5 years. His life is now empty. The local authority carers are good but can't spend time with dad, chatting and reassuring him about his worries which are frequent. The Home Instead carers spend time getting to know him helping him prepare a meal if necessary and doing little jobs like cleaning with him. They make him feel useful and help fill the massive gap that my mum's death left. They chat about his life and look at family photos. They also make shopping lists and shop if required.

Residing in Bridgend with his wife and children, Ben is dedicated to forging community connections and identifying individuals in need of our support. His academic background in Accounting at Lancashire University laid the groundwork for a multifaceted career, including financial consultancy and property investment.
Ben's motivation to begin operating in the care sector began following a poignant personal experience — witnessing the inadequate care available to his 98-year-old grandfather living with dementia, an area of expertise for Home Instead. Ben was most displeased by the task-oriented approach to care, as he strongly believed in the need to recognise clients as individuals and provide high-quality, compassionate care.
Motivated by a desire to redefine care standards, Ben established a Swansea branch of Home Instead. Here, the emphasis lies in person-centred care meticulously crafted to meet each client's unique needs and desires.
Recognising Home Instead's unparalleled commitment to compassion and individualised care, Ben was drawn to its distinctive approach, where service quality takes precedence above all else.
