In all respects the carers are good.
They have very dedicated and personable staff, both carers and administrators.
We couldn't ask for more.
We are delighted that you are happy with the care and support we provide for your wife. The small team of care professionals you have love seeing your wife and are thankful that they get to make a difference in the life of you both and your family. Thank you for your lovely words about our staff we will pass this on to them.
The people who have been to help me after being in hospital were considerate and helpful. Since then I am able to be out driving myself and doing my own shopping, but that rests on the fact that the two visits I have each week do the basic housework for me. that enables me to go and garden instead of cleaning!
We are delighted that our support has enabled you to regain your independence and focus on the things that you love to do.
The best of care and the kindest of caregivers. The caregivers and office always were supportive to both my parents and the family. My mum could stay in familiar surroundings and we were reassured every day with the care planning notes but also knowing a friendly voice was only a phone call away. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We are delighted that your parents were able to be in their home as long as possible and that you received the reassurance you deserved. We send you all our very best wishes.
Our experience has been very good. My mother only needs (at the moment), someone different to talk to. The carers can change as well as the time of the visit, although, the management tries not to do that. However, I can see that the short notice might be a problem if the elderly person wasn't on the ball. My mother actually enjoys seeing different people but a confused person might find it hard.
We are delighted that your mum is enjoying the companionship of our care professionals. We always try to match the interests of both our client and care professionals in regards to the interests and needs of our clients, which includes any flexibility on times. Our care professionals love chatting...
Very content with the service provided by Home Instead. The staff who attend my wife are courteous and friendly and most are happy to undertake addition household chores within the time constraints of their hourly visits.
We are delighted that you are happy you chose Home Instead to provide care for your wife. We will pass on your feedback to your care professionals, who love coming to see you. Many thanks for your feedback.
The care provided by most carers is dedicated un-breakingly (as indicated below) and is over and above normal duties. This includes medical and personal contacts with GP and medical staff. Due to my mobility stopping is much appreciated.
Thank you for your review. We are absolutely delighted that we are able to provide you with care and support that is so much appreciated and we will feed this back to your Care Professionals.
All the care staff have been kind and helpful and adapted to the client's needs, which have varied, and include conversation, listening and thoughtfulness. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. We are absolutely loving looking after this client. The Care Professionals find her a joy to be with and enjoy spending time with her.
I broke my hips and live on my own and without the help and understanding of my carers, would not have completely recovered and regained my confidence. I cannot thank them enough.
We are delighted that that you have recovered and regained your confidence. We will pass on your review to your Care Professionals. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.
The conversations have been both entertaining and uplifting.
Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted that you are improving and enjoying your visits. We will pass your lovely words to our Care Professional.
Generally satisfactory - capable, reliable, pleasant and friendly. Some work harder than others but I have very few problems.
Home Instead Wetherby and North Leeds.
Home Instead really stepped up to the mark when my family needed them. After a sudden discharge from hospital Home Instead very quickly were able to start providing good quality care for my mother. They really cared about helping Mum but also in supporting the rest of the family as well. The arrangements were quickly discussed and arranged with an agreed routine put in place which really helped mum. Any minor issues were taken seriously and quickly and efficiently resolved. We are all very happy with Home Instead and the staff, both carers and office based.
Best wishes to you and your mother for the future.
The care received from the staff at Home Instead was fantastic. It was clear that each of the carers genuinely cared. They treated my father with dignity and respect and kept him comfortable during his last days. If I had to go through this again I would choose Home Instead (Wetherby & North Leeds) every time.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that we had such an impact on your father's life. The Care Professionals enjoyed attending to your father. It's always a pleasure to know that our efforts are recognised.
Home Instead has been providing care for, initially, both my parents for four to five years. Then for my father until he passed away in April 2022. The majority of caregivers have been excellent and if unsuited the company would always arrange for an alternative. They have always endeavoured to provide caregivers who could connect well with both my parents and particularly when my father was widowed, always going the extra mile with trips out, singing and music.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure supporting your father, and our caregivers always appreciate knowing that they have made a difference.
Training was abysmal and caused us unnecessary incidents as aftermath. This service was chosen because it offered one hour visits minimum. My father very much benefitted from the time to do care and have a chat. The quality varied between individuals but those who chose to really engage are also those who have responded with deep regret about his passing. My father had no complaints about anybody. Management was poor, they did not follow up in general regarding any complaints or queries. Only once did I get a really efficient response and then she disappeared from management in two months. Communication from the front desk to management was not dealt with by management. Carers made a messaging group to communicate around clients which I appreciated.
Home Instead supported Mum to live in an annexe to our house for 8 months. The first 3 months were a positive experience - Mum enjoyed getting to know care staff, her pressure areas improved and we shared the care well. Then Mum's dementia progressed, she developed some delusional that were difficult to respond to and she cooperated less and less with her care. The staff and I tried our best and I think much of the time they tried strategies that would've worked with other people with dementia.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a challenge for everyone in the latter stages but as you say, your mum appreciated the support when she was able to.
Home Instead provided care for my Dad over a two year period, in this time I found their caregivers to be respectful, caring and always allowed Dad to maintain his dignity. We were provided with a core of around 4-6 caregivers who were with us on a regular basis giving Dad the continuity and familiarity he needed. Many of our caregivers became like extended family and provided us with support as were as Dad. Staff went above and beyond their remit to enhance my Dads life. Highly recommended
It was a pleasure supporting your Dad.
I am quite pleased with the lovely care my nan has received from Home Instead Wetherby. She adores the carer and they treat her so well. She looks forward to seeing them. They have kept her spirits up in times when she found it hard to do so.
Thank you for your kind comments. It's great to know that our care professionals make such a difference.
Home Instead Wetherby provides home care for my elderly in-laws, four days a week. The professional care and service they provide are wonderful. They come in twice a day to meet all their requirements. The care and compassion they show on a daily basis are just what we, as a family with elderly parents, need. Several different carers attend their home on a weekly basis, but all do a lovely job equally. Knowing Home Instead is enabling them to live independently still means a lot to us all. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. Great to hear we make a difference.
I am a fairly new client of Home Instead having signed up for a once a week session to help with bathing my 93-year-old mother for whom I am the sole carer. My mother was most reluctant to have any outside help and was particularly unhappy about having assistance with bathing. I explained this to Home Instead who assured me they would take things very gently and respect my mum's privacy. This they have done admirably. Just a few weeks in, my mum is confident enough for me to go out during the visits from Home Instead. It is my hope that in time I will be able to increase the visits to give me some time out. I have every confidence that this will happen.

Meet the Team (14)
Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.
After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.
As General Manager, Cath oversees all aspects of the service with a deep commitment to the wellbeing of older adults. She’s passionate about helping people remain independent in the place they know best: home, while building lasting connections within the local community.
After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.
With extensive experience in the sector, Louisa brings high levels of expertise and attention to detail to her role of Client Service Manager. Louisa plans and supports her clients through their journey in care and is a valued member of our team.
Our Client Service Manager, Megan, has over 30 years of experience in the NHS in various nursing roles, and so brings a high level of understanding and expertise into her role, ensuring our clients receive the personalised care they need.
Nina beings her wealth of experience as a Care Professional into her role as Care Co-Ordinator. With her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the caring profession, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nina as a central member of our Wetherby team.
As Client Experience Manager, Gemma makes sure every client and their family feels genuinely supported. She’s all about personal, flexible care that adapts to each individual’s needs and building trust with our wonderful community.
Katherine joined Home Instead Wetherby in October 2023 after completing a degree in Marketing Management. She joined the team to share online the amazing home care service provided to support clients to live well at home locally.
Before starting my career with Home Instead I was a Business Development Manager but joined as both a Community Representative and a CAREGiver, so I could make a difference in people’s lives, having previously nursed my mum who was living with dementia.
Racheal has over 12 years experience in the sector. As Recruitment Manager, she ensures the efficient recruitment of Care Professionals that best match our client’s needs.
Racheal chose to join Home Instead as the company’s values and culture align with her own beliefs.
Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
I joined Home Instead four years ago as a Care Professional which I absolutely loved and met some lovely clients and fellow Care Pros along the way. It's been a pleasure helping to look after them. I have now moved into the role as our Audit Manager which will see me oversee and support the smooth running of the business.
Fiona has worked in the care sector most of her adult life, and enjoys every day of it. As well as caring for clients, she also supports Care Professionals in the field.
She feels lucky to work for Home Instead and enjoys meeting wonderful clients and Care Professionals.
Kendra joined Home Instead in 2022 having previously worked within the financial services sector in HR and Scheduling functions.
She values Home Instead's ethos and relishes building relationships with clients, their families and Care Professionals.
