I recently watched my elderly father suffer poor care when he became infirm and had to rely on the local authority's 'care by the lowest bidder'. So when my partner needed care I had a very clear idea of what I didn't want!
I am happy to say that Guardian Angels have restored my faith in people.
There are kind, caring people in the world who do a difficult job as well as they possibly can to ensure that their clients feel dignified and valuable.
I am sure they have bad days, we all do, but I have never seen a sign of it in their work. They always leave my partner feeling better than she did when they arrived. They have become important members of her 'family'.
So thank you Guardian Angels. What you do transforms people's lives.
Reply from Tracy Clarke, Recruitment at Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterThank you so much for your lovely, kind words we will make sure they are passed on to our wonderful carers. I know they feel the same about you both and they will be very touched to read this.

Due to circumstances beyond your control, the rotas you have sent out have not been adhered to, resulting in uncertainties as to who is coming and at what time! In some instances, this causes some distress and disruption to my daily routine and arrangements, i.e. cancelling doctor, hospital or dentist
appointments or visits from family and friends - I do have a life! Regularity is important to me and the girls I have known for some time are wonderful. It takes time to get to know the new carers and to trust and understanding on both sides.
Reply from Tracy Clarke, Recruitment at Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterThank you so much for your feedback, our aim is always to provide our clients with a continuity of care and carers. We appreciate all feedback from our clients and this only enables us to better our process. We also need to respond quickly to this feedback to minimise any further disruption to you. Please email us at care@gacarers.co.uk and one of our team will happily call you to discuss.

I have now been with Guardian Angel Carers for many years. My particular needs stem from having MS and using a wheelchair.
Because of the pandemic, the number of carers per client has been reduced so as to minimise cross-infection. Commendable on Guardian Angel Carers part, of course, as it has resulted
in my main carer becoming very experienced in my particular needs. Ironically, though, it has also resulted in other carers being less familiar with routine aspects of my care when, every so often, they substitute for my main carer.
As ever, the constant refrain of all Guardian Angel carers is that 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. makes for too long a working day. This worries me as a client because tiredness must surely affect their work as carers. Another constant anxiety is, they tell me, inadequate lack of travel time.
Nearly all Guardian Angel carers are personable, careful and attentive. Sometimes, despite their initial in-house training, I have to instruct the odd carer in what they have to do.
Reply from Callie Mason, Client Communications at Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterThank you for your praise and recognition of our Care Angels. We agree it is very well deserved. Our aim is to provide continuity of carers and continuity of care. Thank you for acknowledging what a challenging time we have faced to deliver this in the past months. To help manage our Care Angel visits even more efficiently we have invested in new planning technology. We never want our Care Angels to feel rushed between visits. Our Care Angels pride themselves on knowing and remembering the little things that are important to you. Our systems will mean this information is shared with the Care Angels in your care team. Thank you for being such a loyal client. Kind regards, Callie

Guardian Angel Carers have, like other care providers, suffered during Covid and since with staffing difficulties. They have coped admirably and the client always came first. The individual carers were all highly efficient and have dealt with my mother, who at times can be difficult, extremely well.
Reply from Callie Mason, Client Communications at Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterMany thanks for your kind words, it certainly has been a difficult time for all and I am so glad our Care Angels have been able to continue to provide excellent care to your mother. Kind regards.

When extra morning care was required for Mum, the Guardian Angel's team were able to help very promptly, which we understand, owing to capacity issues, required some organising. We are grateful for the new morning visits, which help us and reassure us to know that Mum is taking her medication and enjoying
her breakfast. Thank you, Guardian Angel!

Very good care from all the carers, sometimes feel frustrated by time of help given and change of carers at short notice but these shortcomings are possibly due to short staff and unforeseeable problems.

My father and I are very satisfied with the care he receives. Throughout the Covid epidemic, his carer has always been supplied with and worn PPE - he has felt safe and has never felt at risk by her visits. We have always found his carers and office staff to be friendly, approachable and professional.
We have no hesitation in recommending Guardian Angels to others in a similar position ie. wanting to remain independent but needing that extra support.
Reply from Daniel Ayton, Head of Operations at Guardian Angel Carers - ChichesterThank you for your 5-star rating, we have worked continuously throughout COVID to keep everyone safe as well as being able to provide our normal outstanding care.

I would highly recommend Guardian Angels. From the friendly office staff arranging all the details to the carers - nothing was too much trouble. I only needed carers for a short time after an accident but their help and reassurance was amazing. Always on time - very early in the morning - my choice
- but always with a smile and ready to chat and so cheerful. Thank you.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.896 for Guardian Angel Carers - Chichester is calculated as follows: ( (112 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 125 Ratings = 4.896

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Guardian Angel Carers - Chichester is based on 21 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
