I find In Home Care very helpful and involved in the care provision. Regular reviews are made to ensure we have appropriate care support.

When extra cover is required, they provide the best person to suit my mother's needs.

We have been using In Home Care for 5 years since my husband had a severe stroke. More recently he had cancer of the base of his tongue and after radiotherapy had swallowing issues. In Home Care came frequently when I had to go out to oversee meals to ensure he didn't choke etc. Sadly his cancer has returned to bones, liver, pelvis etc so we now have superb male carers (2 who work the week and my husband really likes) who get him up, shower, cream him and oversee his dressing and getting him downstairs on the lift.

The carers are generally very good indeed. For the last six weeks, we have had a live-in carer, who is also very good. Before that, we had a carer for a few hours every day. My wife has Parkinson's and Dementia. It was better for her if we knew who was coming and that there were not too many changes of carers. On both these counts In Home Care failed. Too often there was a stranger at the door. These carers sometimes knew nothing about Parkinson's and had to be briefed by me. They also knew nothing about my wife's needs nor about the house hold. So it could be up to an hour before the carer started caring for my wife.

Carers from the above agency have consistently tried to help my mother in a caring and in a dignified manner. Unfortunately she is a very difficult person and can be uncooperative and aggressive, despite this, both carers and management of In Home Care Ltd continue to assess and look at ways to assist her to stay in her own home. For which we are very grateful.

My husband and I are very very pleased with the care provided by our carers. They are so helpful in every way possible. They almost always come on at the times stated, and they are very careful when we are washed or showered, being very gentle, kind and respectful of our ages.

Reply from Michelle Young, Registered Manager at In Home Care - Waterlooville, Havant, Petersfield & Emsworth

Generally satisfied but if main carers are away, there are sometimes problems. If new unknown carers are sent, it is then hard work for my parents to have to explain everything: e.g. where the cups are kept etc... Much better to have a small regular team of carers.

The care provided by In Home has been of the highest quality. I first used them when I had a broken wrist and now have them twice a week for a shower and hair wash. They also change my bedding and do washing for me. All the carers are professional in their approach and are very easy to get along with,. Very helpful if I need something a bit out of the normal requirements. all the carers are easy to talk to and its a pleasure to have them.
