I am pleased with the service.

Also, appreciate that you are understaffed, but when there is a problem when a carer may be late, I would appreciate a telephone call to avoid sitting in the bathroom waiting to have a wash for a long length of time.

Reply from Karen Garratt, Branch Manager at Manorcourt Homecare (Hornchurch & Thurrock)

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of our service. We do try to let people know if their carer is running a bit late but this is not always possible if we are not informed by the carer.

The carers are alright, they do everything you want them to do. They are very kind and we have a laugh with them. I enjoyed the rounders match the other day.

All the carers who visited my mum were extremely caring, compassionate, friendly and sensitive to her needs. As a dementia sufferer she required different strategies to encourage her with her morning routines. She had two main carers who were absolutely lovely and made the mornings run smoothly as they efficiently got my mother ready for the day. I can not thank them enough.

Manorcourt Homecare have provided excellent support for my mum, and now my dad, since 2009. Recently when my dad's health deteriorated and he returned from a spell in respite care, Manorcourt management and staff reacted extremely quickly to put in at home. They are responsive to any requests and the staff are caring and reactive to ongoing care demands. I am very happy with the care provided.

Manorcourt always try their utmost to give your loved ones a regular carer, where a good relationship and trust is formed. Their staff have always been happy, cheerful and positive. We have been very impressed with the service our mother received from Manorcourt Homecare over the past year. The management and staff acted professionally and efficiently at all times were punctual with their visits and completed their tasks competently, whilst treating her with dignity and respect. This included comforting and helping her when she suffered from a major stroke from which she sadly passed away in April this year.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Manorcourt Homecare as a professional and competent care agency.

Manorcourt Homecare have been looking after Mum for 2 and a half years. We have been very impressed with the level of care she receives and the way all the carers treat Mum with kindness, concern and dignity. They regularly go above and beyond their normal duties to support not only Mum but also my dad and their friendly manner while carrying out their duties is very much appreciated. We are also very lucky to have the dedicated support of an excellent team leader whose commitment and professionalism are second to none. Any questions we have are answered promptly and the medication officers also offer excellent support. We genuinely feel we have struck gold with Manorcourt at this difficult time of life for Mum.

In general, the care provided is good and reliable. Carers arrive reliably (within the same time limits) and provided the required care. My mother has not complained other than at times the times of putting her to bed and rising had been a bit variable.

I am conscious of the budgetary of staff availability problems face by care providers and given these, I don't think I could ask for more.
