My husband had heart failure and I cared for him at home. I employed Home Instead as follows: one carer to shower him once a week. One carer to keep him company one afternoon a week. One carer to get him up, washed and dressed on weekdays.
Our carer is very caring and soon got to know my mother. looked after her in an empathetic way and recognised her needs.
Each of the ladies that take care of my dad are friendly, kind and highly conscientious. They make valued suggestions on how we can make dad more comfortable. My family are grateful for their help.
Home Instead Senior Care (Epping Forest) have been outstanding in terms of their time-keeping, relationship with my step-mother, professionalism, concern and attention. They are responsive and helpful. They also keep me informed if any issues arise and provide good advice.
I find the Carers very nice, friendly and helpful and they always do a good job. I no longer have the anxiety and worry as to whether they are going to turn up or not. On the rare occasions, they are running a little bit late, someone has always telephoned to let me know.
I didn't initially want the care but when it was provided, I realise that it was a great help. The Carers are all very pleasant and understanding.
Home Instead is the reason my uncle, for whom I have power of attorney, is not in residential care.
The staff they supply are well trained and flexible in their approach.
Highly recommended.
The care my mother has been receiving since we started to use Home Instead Senior Care last November, is excellent in all respects, and I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of such support. Thank you for everything that you do, and for going 'above and beyond' all the time.
We both appreciated the review meetings as these highlighted when extra care should be put in place.
Communication is good from the office.
Carers all turned up this snowy winter.
Home Instead looked after our elderly aunt over a period of two years before she passed away. The level of care was consistently outstanding. Our aunt was really happy and comfortable. Our family live some distance away, and it was so reassuring to know that she was in such good hands. We met several caregivers and all were most helpful and considerate. Our aunt has nothing but praise for them. Thank you so much for everything.
The care ladies were very understanding and personable. We would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
The CareGivers have become like family members. All the CareGivers have been excellent and willing to go the extra mile when the need has arisen.
We could not cope without them. The CareGivers are very responsive to my Mother-in-Law's needs. In particular in identifying health requirements such as the need for District Nursing visits etc.
They provide reassurance when necessary which is essential for someone with Alzheimer's disease.
The care from one particular carer at Home Instead has made an intolerable situation into a tolerable one. She has taken a lot of stress away from me and really responds well to my husband. She is kind, caring and looks after my husband with washing/bathing/shaver etc dressing all his daily needs. The care we receive is amazing from all at Home Instead - thanks a million.
I cannot say enough good words to say what a brilliant concept home care is in this instance.
Home Instead have given us two wonderful ladies, They have both become like daughters, even more caring perhaps.
The minimum time slot being 1 hour, staff are not rushed and have time to engage with you as a person, not as a job to be done.
Office staff know you by name and deal efficiently and promptly with any matters raised with them.
Home Instead are noticeably more expensive than other companies operating locally, but in my experience are well worth the extra cost.
Staff are caring and efficient as well as being cheerful company.
My Father was suffering with early stage Alzheimer's when my Mother passed away. Dad was fit and active but he needed a lot of support to remain living at home. The first care company I tried only used to spend a few minutes with Dad while they put a ready meal in the microwave oven and then they would leave before he had even eaten it.
Home Instead were infinitely better in every respect. They visited Dad with me and carried out a thorough care assessment. We agreed a care plan that was put in place immediately. All their staff were extremely pleasant to deal with and very professional at all times. The caregivers who looked after Dad were lovely and he really looked forward to their visits. They prepared proper meals, they obtained prescriptions and gave Dad his medication. They took Dad to the doctor and dentist and they also took him to social events arranged by Home Instead for their clients. They generally went above and beyond what I expected and I can't recommend them enough.
My mother has received the most excellent care from Home Instead over the last 3+ years. Whilst it was still possible for her to stay in her own home, they were able to scale her care needs accordingly. In view of the fact that both I and my brother are abroad, it was a great comfort to know that our mum was so well looked after - something we could observe first hand when visiting ... everything from the punctuality of their visits to the professionalism and courtesy shown as well as the way we were kept informed of any concerns and issues. The level of care and concern went way beyond what I expected and I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone.
My father had several episodes in hospital - he is 86 - and needed immediate care at home, having reacted very unfavourably to any suggestion of residential care. This put a great deal of pressure on me - I live 20 miles away - and it was a huge relief to find Home Instead. My father - who can be a bit difficult - has taken very well to the carers and is full of praise for them. They are all thoroughly sensible, professional and dedicated people who have made his life much better. They are also flexible and have accompanied him to later hospital appointments. They liaise closely with me and deal promptly with setbacks and emergencies. I cannot speak too highly of them.

Meet the Team (2)
Hello, I’m Victoria, the owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Epping.
I passionately believe in the Home Instead mission to change the face of ageing. I have seen firsthand how Home Instead can make a real difference to people’s lives in their own homes, as well as providing employment opportunities for the local community.
I am very proud of the team I have built in Epping over the last 12 years. My office team and Care Professionals are committed to ensuring our clients get the best possible care and that each of them contributes to making a positive difference in the lives of their clients.
My team and I are responsible for seeing new prospective clients, signing up new clients and following them through the first few weeks with Home Instead. We ensure these clients are matched with suitable Care Professionals, liaise with the Care Professionals to ensure they are fully briefed on these clients and then carry out the first reviews with these clients to make sure all is going well and as they expected.
I really enjoy working for Home Instead. We are a team. I love making a difference to the lives of our clients, and I have seen at first-hand how enabling people to stay living in their own homes really does make a difference to their lives. Each client testimonial we receive just reinforces this and makes me so proud.
