Home Instead specialises in companionship based support to enable people to remain living independently in their own home. The services range from personal care to home help to assisting with everyday tasks including shopping, errands, accompanying clients to appointments or simply someone to offer friendship and support.

They have a particular expertise in supporting people living with dementia. They have a unique City and Guilds accredited dementia training programme that underpins their practical experience and enhances the professional knowledge of the caregiver team.

All services are bespoke; clients are matched to caregivers to provide the foundation for a relationship and the same caregiver remains with the client. Clients are always introduced to caregivers and would never receive a visit from someone they had not met.

Home Instead understands the importance of spending time supporting clients on a social and emotional level as well as assisting with a range of day-to-day activities.

My mother was discharged from the hospital frail, depressed and barely able to stand, I wasn’t hopeful of any further improvement. It was clear she would now need carers, and I chose Home Instead. The best decision I ever made, these people are the best! The change in my mother since November has been
quite phenomenal. She has gained so much strength that she is now able to walk almost unaided and she is less anxious than she has been for a very long time, now that that her lovely carers are taking care of the household tasks. But the most fantastic change has been in her mood, daily conversations with her carers have made such a difference to her outlook on life and lifted her spirits enormously, she’s brighter and more cheerful and it’s all down to her care package. I really appreciate the care taken in matching her carers to her, knowing her 3 fantastic carers will arrive promptly at the same time daily is so good for minimising her stress. Impeccable care, and outstanding service!

My father has had Home Instead as his care provider for the past three and a half years. He has Parkinson’s and at the height of Covid his condition deteriorated considerably and following a hospitalisation we decided that he would benefit from care. His care team are fantastic and make sure he is taking
his medication, help provide meals and do housework too. He wouldn’t be able to live independently without their help. We are truly appreciative of all of his wonderful care team and the difference they make to him.

Home instead is everything we had been looking for. An incredibly personal service and the care taken in choosing the perfect carer was phenomenal. They listened so carefully to the brief and were highly sensitive to a delicate situation whereby my parents were reluctant to accept that they needed some
help. The carer came in as a housekeeper and gently started doing a few jobs with my mother and is rapidly morphing into the companion and friend that we need long term. It is an exceptional organisation and all of our family couldn't be more grateful.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) have been supporting my mother to remain living independently in her own home full-time since September (and less frequently for a number of months before that).
We have found all the caregivers fantastic with Mum. They not only make sure she is fed and safe but also
take the time to do lovely things with her, from taking her for a walk or out around the charity shops (her favourite) to running a bubble bath (and keeping an ear out whilst she enjoys it) or doing her nails.
It's been such a smooth transition from occasional to daily care, and Mum really looks forward to the visits. She doesn't yet need personal care, but I am confident that should the time come, she would be able to accept it from any one of the team, all of whom she is really fond of.
It's such a relief to have their support, and particularly, knowing they will listen and respond to any changes needed. I really can't recommend them highly enough.

It took us a while to find the right care agency to take care of my parents.
Home Instead was more expensive than most but was worth every penny. My parents liked the carers who came and Mum was soon happy to let them deal with her personal care needs. I was relieved that the carers spent time getting
to know my parents and were regularly able to feedback any concerns to us. Always punctual and stayed the allocated time. We too felt supported and I can't speak highly enough of the whole service, carers or management.

A team of nine excellent carers has been supporting my father at home since he returned there after several months of convalescing in a nursing home. He is delighted with their support, without which he could not live at home on his own, and they have helped him become more independent. Thoroughly recommended.

All the carers that came were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were all keen to help and do anything to make things easier for my wife. They are not doing this just as a job, but they really care. They also arrived exactly at the agreed time and left when we were happy we didn't need
anything else. First-class - 10 out of 10.

We were made aware of Home Instead by a friend who works in a private hospital and spoke highly of their services.
After telephone conversations and a meeting we opted in the first instance for “companion“ care which suited Mother's needs very well.
Sadly her physical condition deteriorated and working
closely with Home Instead and Mother's wishes a more complex plan was agreed upon.
Throughout this transition Home Instead as a team showed fantastic compassion, commitment and professionalism during what is, for a family, difficult times.
From the managing director to the “caregiving” team and everyone involved the way that they conduct themselves is exemplary.
Please do not hesitate if you find that you have a need for them. You will not regret it.

Home Instead (Fareham and Gosport) have provided excellent care for my mother since she came out of hospital. The management have always been professional in setting up their service and flexible when it's needed to be changed. The staff have been trained to assist my mother with her medication and
a specific need which previously they hadn't encountered with an older person before. They always listen, are helpful, considerate and understanding.
