The service of the carer provision was set up very promptly last year. Then six months later, we were able to expand the service with an additional slot and a carer was found very quickly as my mother needed additional support. The carers get on very well with my mother, so are clearly well-selected.
They are able to do her shopping and some chores, and she enjoys having time with them to have a chat. They are very kind to her, and she feels safe with them, which is important. The company was able to adapt the service when my mother was recently hospitalised.

My father and I are very thankful for the care shown to my mother, who suffers from dementia and requires full hands-on personal care. She is completely immobile and unable to converse but responds by joining in their singing of old-time musical favourites and nursery rhymes, which keeps her calm. All
the team treat her with care and kindness. We have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead for looking after your loved ones.

The care team coordinator and her team provide my mum with excellent care. They are with her every day and she enjoys their company a great deal. Home Instead care for my 92-year-old father, who has Alzheimer's.
The care professionals that visit Dad are fantastic with Dad, and whenever I come back to the house, Dad is smiling and chatting with them.
The care professionals are punctual and polite and always ask if they can help me with anything.
The
office staff at Home Instead made me feel reassured throughout the whole process of setting up the care.
Knowing that the same carers come on certain days is great for Dad too.
I would recommend Home Instead to everyone looking for care for relatives.

The carers were professional, kind, caring, respectful, punctual and always reliable. My mother so looked forward to their daily visits, as they gave her dignity and friendship. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I had peace of mind knowing that my mother was being cared for by such happy, caring,
attentive and reliable carers. I was always informed if the carer was detained/late or couldn't attend and always sent another carer (whom Mum knew) on time. Management was very approachable, friendly and helpful and always available. I would fully recommend Home Instead.

We are very happy with the service we are receiving. We know what time they will arrive in the morning and the help given is excellent. My husband is happy with all the ladies who come which is a great comfort to me. They also encourage him to have a little walk around the house to strengthen his legs.

I cannot express how grateful we are as a family, to the wonderful carers, who have been so amazing with my elderly father who has Alzheimer’s.
Obviously, choosing the right care providers for loved ones is so important, and everyone who my Father has had has been, kind, gentle empathetic, honest and
caring and they are all angels in our eyes. I like the fact they all take the time to find out initially about Dad’s interests and they try to match carers to the client.
They are adaptable, and treat Dad with nothing but respect, dignity and kindness and we would have no problem recommending Home Instead to other families. We were recommended ourselves and have not regretted anything.
We recently attended a fantastic Home Instead jubilee party which was so lovely and the drinks and sandwiches were complimentary as was the singer. Such a lovely touch.
Dad is moving nearer to me but I will be transferring his care to a Home Instead near me. Thank you to everyone.

We cannot praise Home Instead highly enough. Last year was a very difficult time for us (as for many) not only coping with the Covid situation but also my husband was diagnosed with mixed dementia or the Alzheimer's and Vascular types. So in June last year we contacted Home Instead for help. They quickly
put in motion a 'live in' carer. and other care givers three times a day. They soon proved what a caring and compassionate company they are. They certainly have taken a lot of stress and worry off my shoulders and that of our son and daughter.

Home Instead Beckenham has been looking after my mum for the last 3 and a half years. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't like to be by herself. She has carers several days a week for companionship. The caregivers are nice, helpful, professional and very sympathetic to my mum, who always looks forward to
her carers coming. Since Covid, the Home Instead carers have been an absolute godsend, as without them, my mum would have been all alone, which would have been devastating and detrimental for her as she needs the stimulation of seeing people. On the few occasions when my mum has needed extra support, Home Instead has been very helpful and has acted quickly. It is very easy to get in touch with the Home Instead office, and they are all so helpful. I would definitely recommend Home Instead.

This is a lovely review and highlights the importance and benefits of the companionship visits we offer. When people think of care they often think of personal care (which we also provide to a large number of our clients) but aren’t always aware that companionship care is available. As your review confirms there are lots of benefits to older people, with and without dementia, of receiving visits from cheerful, well trained caregivers who can provide stimulating and enjoyable activities both in the comfort of a client’s home and also in the community. Your mum has been a supporter of our Love to Move programme and has enjoyed the cognitive exercises as well as the cup of tea and chat afterwards. Home Instead came into our lives when Mum was diagnosed with dementia and Mum and Dad needed help with cooking an evening meal. My brother and I both live a distance away and although we visit weekly we needed to know that they were eating properly. Home instead came and met with Mum, Dad and my bother
and I and agreed on a plan that suited everyone. Mum and Dad now need assistance with medication, personal care and general domestic work. The carers that Mum and Dad have been amazing. They help with all care whilst maintaining Mum and Dad's dignity. It's lovely to walk in and hear Mum and Dad laughing with the carers chatting about everything. They always go the extra mile for Mum and Dad and will always stay if a more serious issue arises. They always keep us updated on any changes and we have complete trust in them.
The carers are so friendly, caring and helpful and have enabled us to deal with a difficult situation in a way that we are all extremely happy with. We highly recommend them!

Can’t recommend them highly enough, only wish we could have used their help for a longer period, as it is so much more friendly and tailored to the client's needs than even the best care home. They took such care in talking to our cousin and finding out what she wanted. Although initially very resistant,

I can't rate Home Instead Bromley highly enough. My dad has used their care since Jan 2020, and I have found them extremely kind and always very efficient.
There have been a few occasions when he has needed extra help at short notice, and Home Instead stepped up to do what was necessary. He has mixed
dementia, and all the caregivers are wonderfully patient with him. Home Instead's communication is excellent, and they are very reliable.
I don't live in the UK, so am far from my dad, and it's given me great peace of mind to know that he's being well looked after, especially when I couldn't get over to see him during the pandemic.
I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.

Home Instead has been looking after my brother-in-law for the last 5 and a half years. He has Parkinson's with movement difficulties and some cognitive issues. This was initially for a couple of hours each day providing lunch and doing domestic chores. More recently, however, it has progressed to the
equivalent of 5 visits a day, additionally doing all personal care, administering medication, eye drops etc. Both the client and I have always found the Home Instead carers to be caring, respectful, thoughtful, thorough and exactly what we would hope for.
We have had other carers in the past, but the Home Instead carers and office team go that extra mile, staying until any serious issues are resolved, even if this eats into their own time.
They are trustworthy, reliable and punctual. They are always aware of the need to keep the family advised of any issues and are very good at liaising with us.
I would have no hesitation recommending them to others.

Home Instead have provided us with excellent support over the last four and a half years. As my wife’s health deteriorated, the support has grown and most recently was at the level of 9.30am to 9.30pm, 7 days a week. Throughout the four and a half years, all carers have been professional, warm and friendly
and willing to try whatever my wife (with Parkinson’s – physical and dementia deterioration) would like to do. Until her health sharply deteriorated recently, they have taken my wife out for trips to the shops and local gardening centres, taken her to a Tai Chi class once a week, done gardening with her, puzzles etc. They thus provided her with the social interaction and physical exercise recommended by the NHS. They have also taken care of her medication and personal care needs. These care levels were maintained through two years of Covid restrictions. We have felt that we could relax and trust our carers completely and we thank Home Instead for choosing such able carers tailored to our particular needs.

My mum has been with Home Instead for nearly a year, and Home Instead took great care in placing the right carer with my mum. As a family, we really appreciate the excellent support they provide for my mum. We originally put in the care as companionship and basic help for my mum on the days when I am
not able to visit. She really looks forward to their visits, as her carers are so friendly, cheerful and efficient, and nothing is too much trouble. We have also used their services when we have gone on holiday to ensure my mum has a carer every day, and it gives me such peace of mind to go away knowing that she has a friendly face visiting each day. From the moment Home Instead took on the care of my mum I could see she was in good hands. The caregivers were always kind, considerate and respectful. They made a real effort to get to know Mum know her likes and dislikes and really bonded with her. Home Instead staff were always punctual for visits

Hello, I’m Sarah and I am the Care Manager here at Home Instead Bromley. I am responsible for ensuring that Home Instead provides a high quality, personalised service and that we adhere to all legislative and regulatory requirements.
My role involves a lot of contact with clients, liaising with their families, writing care plans, doing risk assessments and scheduling visits. I also oversee the majority of Care Professionals training, introductions to clients, supervisions and appraisals which means I can ensure that all Care Professionals are motivated and dedicated and have the tools they need to provide the best service possible to our clients.
