I have been having Home Instead to care for my mum since January of 2022. From day one when they came to see me to sort out the requirements for mum, I could see what a professional organisation they were. Then when the caregiver started coming in in early January to care for Mum I was delighted with her from the first day. She comes in for three hours every other Monday afternoon. This gives me time for myself to go out shopping etc. Mum adores her. So much so that when it is time for her to leave Mum asks when she is coming again. In fact she doesn't want her to leave. It also means I can relax safe in the knowledge that she is well cared for by her. I also get along great with her and I now look on her as a member of the family. I am even considering increasing the service to every Monday.
Thank you for your lovely review. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for our lovely clients and their families. Enjoy some time to yourself knowing your mum is enjoying herself too.
Please with the service provided for Mum. The regular carer provides excellent care.
Your review is really appreciated, Roy. It helps us in our endeavor to provide the very best Care.
A special thanks to the staff; to the caregivers - who go the extra to help and have enabled Mum to experience life more - and to the administrative staff, who are always available, make every effort to help and always see issues through to resolution.
Thank you for your review, Julian. It is our pleasure and privilege to care for such a wonderful client like your mum.
Both of the carers looking after Mum have been amazing and we are very grateful for the respect, compassion, courtesy and care shown both for Mum and our family, it is appreciated.
I know that Mum is in safe hands at this very difficult time of her life.
I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead and do so whenever an opportunity presents itself.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is much appreciated.
We have been using Home Instead to care for Mum, who has dementia, for a few months now. The carers visit Mum for an hour a day and have been absolutely invaluable. They check that Mum has taken her medication, that she has eaten and that the house is clean and secure. They patiently spend time chatting to her so we know she is getting some form of social interaction each day. Mum really loves all the caregivers that visit her and is very comfortable having them in the house. Even though the family visit a few times a week, it really puts our mind at rest that someone is there every day. Wonderful service!
Thank you Noleen, your review is really appreciated.
My parents are in their late 80s. My father has recently been in hospital and is very frail. I contacted Home Instead when Dad came out of the hospital as we realised that he would need a lot of care. Initially, we needed a night carer as Dad was too frail to be left on his own at night. I spoke to the staff and she was able to arrange for a member of staff to come the following night. Since then the staff has been providing care to my parents in the morning and evenings. He really cares for my parents. He treats them with dignity and respect. I am very confident that they are well looked after by him. It will mean that they will be able to stay at home for longer than would otherwise have been possible. Staff have been very professional to deal with and have been able to alter the care package as Dad’s needs have changed. Both staff have ensured that my parents are well cared for. Thank you both very much.
Thank you for your review, this helps us in our endeavour to provide the very best Care for our clients.
We looked at Home Instead because they had already done a great job for my mother-in-law in Gloucestershire. Right from the start, Home Instead were excellent. From the initial discussions about what they can provide and the likely level of care needed to the actual setup and running of the care, including reporting back to us about concerns, developments. very professional and at the same time both caring/compassionate and extremely helpful. We also had to scramble close to 24/7 care at short notice (my father who cared to some extent for my mother had a cardiac arrest, leaving us stranded in a caring sense). Home Instead responded immediately and within half an hour we had the full programme of required daily, evening and night care in place, thanks to the efforts of the office staff and the extra sacrifices made by the carers who worked extra shifts at very unsociable hours. I cannot praise Home Instead enough and would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.
A team member came to visit Mum's home to assess her needs and to create a personalised care plan. They were able to guarantee the same group of carers would visit and she would never have an 'unknown' person visit. The carers were punctual, polite, caring and compassionate.
They were all skilled in various areas of caring and my Mum was treated with respect and dignity at all times.
All visits were recorded in a file left at her home and more recently via a phone app. The carers frequently went over and above what was expected of them.
There is no doubt that the level of care provided enabled my Mum to remain in her own home until she was nearly 102 years old.
As a family, we are grateful for everything they provided.
Their needs were too time-consuming for the family to be able to cope. We were recommended to contact Home Instead who have provided carers for 5 hours each day.
They get my parents up, washed, dressed and served breakfast and lunch. In the evenings they provide an evening meal service and prepare them for bed. They also administer medications that are provided in dossett boxes. The carers are truly lovely people who seem to genuinely care for my parents in every sense. They keep me informed of all developments and we talk regularly. The standard of care has been consistently excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Thank you, your review is important to us. It helps us in our endeavour to provide the very best Care for our Clients.
The home care provided was of very good quality. The app was very useful as I live 500 miles away from my Mother and it was a great way of tracking the care provided. The service also provided much-needed reassurance during the Covid-19 outbreak and the carers use PPE (gloves and masks), which I witnessed when I visited my Mother. The Home Instead office kept in touch by phone/email re any concerns.
It was a big step for us when we decided to look for carers for my dad; due to illness his health progressively deteriorated and we struggled to cope. We are very glad to have found Home Instead, who have supported us with his care and responded to his changing health needs over the last few months. Dad's team are kind and treat him with dignity and respect; he always looks well cared for and nothing is too much trouble for them....they demonstrate their care and concern for both him and Mum. Continuity of care has been good and his care plan individualised to his needs. Communication has been very supportive from our Care Lead, who has gone above and beyond what we expected, in helping us at this very difficult time. This has been very much appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you for your review, Helen, it helps us in our endeavour to provide the very best care.
I have been very happy with the care given to my elderly aunt and uncle by Home Instead carers which started in December. The carers have been friendly and very professional. The office staff that I have spoken with have always been helpful and professional. I particularly appreciated that they were able to arrange overnight care at very short notice for my aunt when my uncle was in hospital for three weeks. We have continued with this overnight care.
Thank you for your review, David, it helps us in our endeavour to provide the best care possible.
My Aunt has 3 main carers. They go above and beyond, are friendly and provide excellent care. They communicate with me if there are issues or if my Aunt needs anything. I can't praise them highly enough. They are a credit to the caring service and the company. I don't live in Leicester but they give me the support and level of confidence that my Aunt is safe and well cared for. I can't recommend this service highly enough - Thank you.
Thank you Michelle, we really appreciate your review. Take care and keep safe.
Dad has been receiving support twice daily from Home Instead for almost a year now and the very high standard of care has never wavered. His visits are always at the times that we agreed; Dad has regular friendly carers who he likes and who have come to know him and his preferred routine well so they are able to identify if he isn't feeling quite himself and let us know. He is helped with his personal care, prompted with his insulin and other medication and served meals of his choice (plus a sandwich lunch is left prepared for him in the fridge). His home is always left tidy and secure. Dad wants to be in his own home and the support that he has from Home Instead means that he can be.
My Dad has been using Home Instead for a couple of years now. They have been, and continue to be, excellent. Everyone I speak to connected with the service seems to know my Dad, and his idiosyncrasies, even though they may not have met him, which always makes calls to the office easier. In October 2019, at 93, he had cataract surgery and struggled to cope with administering the eyedrops in the week following his surgery, which we had not predicted. The manager and team could not have been more helpful and were able, at short notice and in addition to his regular morning and evening care slots, to arrange short extra visits in the middle of the day, when carers were visiting nearby clients, just to help with this. This is typical of their personal, flexible, common-sense approach to care. Dad regards his carers not just as friends, but as extended family members, and looks forward to their visits, while their professionalism, communication and attention to detail are outstanding.
Thank you Nancy, it is our absolute pleasure and privilege to care for your Dad.
My mother and I have been using the services of Home Instead for my father for the last sixth months. He has vascular dementia, mobility issues and is hard of hearing. The carers are always very sensitive to his well-being and guide, assist and help him gently through all his needs. They are constantly conversing with Dad and always say hello and goodbye and let him know when they will be seeing him again. The carers are cheerful at every visit and always find time to have a little laugh or bring a smile to his face. The office staff too are always extremely helpful and do their utmost to make sure consistency is maintained.
Thank you for your review Susan, it helps us in our endeavour to provide the very best care.
I used the services of Home Instead for about six months to provide help in caring for my wife who has Vascular Dementia. A team of three ladies gave my wife help in getting up in the mornings and looked after all her needs when I was out of the house. This enabled me to reconnect with friends and to take part in recreational activities. I cannot speak highly enough about all of the staff at Home Instead who were always cheerful and willing in all that they did. When I had to make a decision to place my wife in a care home, they gave me invaluable support and guidance in making the decision. Thank you all.
Thank you, Michael, for your invaluable review, it helps us in our endeavour to provide excellent care to our clients. We wish you both the very best.
We have been using Home Instead for some time now - Mum is very keen to stay living at home and Home Instead make it possible. Mum started with one visit a day: needed 24-hour care for a while and now has three visits a day. Can't speak highly enough of the Home Instead staff and the respect with which they deal with Mum and its the little extras that you wouldn't expect that really make the difference - such as painting her nails, massaging her ankles and the personal Christmas cards. The administration is also great, e-mailing a weekly schedule so we can make sure that Mum knows who is coming to see her for each visit each day. Mum has three visits a day from her 'friends who help her' - not sure there is much more we could ask for.
Thank you for your review Stephen. It helps us in our endeavour to maintain or improve our services to our valued clients.
I cannot recommend Home Instead enough. From our initial contact with them when my mum needed care at home following a spell in hospital to the last few days of her life, Home Instead have been professional, caring, kind, accommodating and supportive throughout. From simple tasks to complex support, Home Instead have been wonderful. The caregivers are selected personally to suit the client and if you are considering using their services, don't hesitate. My mum came to look at her caregivers as friends and they gave her the support and strength she needed to continue living at home, with the compassion, respect and dignity she deserved as an elderly lady. She remained positive throughout with their support through difficult times towards the end of her life. Thank you for your love and support we as a family couldn't have done it without you.
Thank you Lesley, we really appreciate your kind words.
End of life care. Manager and carers treated my husband with sympathy, gentleness, kindness and great respect.
