The care I received was amazing. The girls were always on time and treated me with respect. I had collar care, I was always pleased to see them as I knew, when they left, I would be comfortable until they came the next day. This is an excellent service and I can not praise it more. Highly recommended.

Get cameras & back up videos! My mum was dropped from the commode. One care said it was an assisted drop to the floor. When someone shouts and you hear a bang, it's not assisted. Mum is epileptic and the bed rails where left down on numerous occasions. The bed controller was left out of her reach, so
she couldn't sit up or lay back, her glasses and TV remote being left out of reach. Carers not timing seizures and often saying they didn't know what to do, after we had been told they had training. This left us unsure whether mum needed her rescue medication. The front door was left not only unlocked, but open (no one else was home) and anyone could have walked in. A carer left the room when mum sat on the commode having a seizure. We kept finding medication in her bed. We had 2 meetings with the manager and owner and they like to use all the spin words, not to mention when we said it felt like the carers where being rushed, the owner told us this annoyed her! Avoid One Care!

We're sorry your experience with OneCare didn't meet expectations. We take all feedback seriously, especially regarding safety. Over the 14 months of care, we acknowledged mistakes and held meetings, including one on June 12, 2025, to agree on actions moving forward. The decision to issue 14 days' notice wasn't an attempt to avoid responsibility but to allow a fresh start with a new provider. Regarding the seizure episode, the carer left briefly to get help, which was addressed, and the carer received further training. While we value feedback, it's crucial to report concerns promptly. We were often only made aware of issues retrospectively, which limited our ability to address them in real-time. We understand emotions run high, but we aim for balanced, fair representations of events. We remain committed to continuous improvement and welcome further dialogue through the local authority or CQC.

This is for my wife.
My wife has Multiple Sclerosis which she has had this for many years.
She is wheelchair bound and can't walk.
In December she had a fall from her wheelchair and broke her right leg.
December 2023 she had a stroke and still has not fully recovered from this.
She is also partially
blind.
I myself am 85years old and I cant do a lot, even though I try !
However, the carers are brilliant with her. They show lots of respect and dignity which I am forever grateful for. We give the carers 10/10
All the staff and management of ONE CARE we give 100%
Thank you all

One Care severely inadequate (Get cameras if you use them)
Use this company at your own risk, or the risk or your loved ones. We had a meeting at our home only a few weeks ago (12th June 2025) with the owner and registered manager of One Care, this was to discuss various irregularities and safety concerns
with the level of care. We talked through the various mistakes and some major safety concerns, such as, the many occasions the sides of the bed were left down, That could have led to her falling out of bed if she had a seizure, we discussed the safety concern with my mother in-law falling from the commode due to the carers not placing her on it correctly, (The registered manager called this a "assisted fall" I was there at the time and it was a fall. We also discussed the occasion the hoist was dropped on her.

My husband is very happy with his care, has a laugh and jokes with his carers and looks forward to them coming. They are always courteous, cheerful, very willing and take really good care of him, helping him with any new requirements, and checking with me if they are not sure what he requires. He always
feels better for the visit.
If we need to change the time because of medical appointments, it is never an issue.
We are both very grateful for all that OneCare do for us and for the cheerful visitors every day.

My sister was discharged from the hospital in May, and I engaged OneCare to replace a previous company to provide four visits a day. I have not been disappointed, as the care provided has been excellent. It is wonderful to be able to engage with the staff, which was lacking with the previous provider.
My sister is extremely pleased with the care she receives. OneCare has gone the extra mile in many ways and even offered to liaise with my sister's GP - something I previously had to do myself. All the staff treat my sister with friendship and dignity. I have no hesitation in recommending OneCare - a really professional company.

This is a wonderful company, such care and attention to my mother and really friendly and happy staff. They were always on time and didn't skip anything, always asked if they could do anything else. Really top notch company and staff. Wish we could have kept service, but out of our control. Thank you!

I have received care from OneCare since May 2020. I have got to know the team well. They support me with my day to day personal care and meal preparation. The management team has been supportive and accommodating with my care planning and changes that I have experienced with my mobility.
OneCare have
also worked closely with the physiotherapy team to support me with mobility assessments and exercises. Overall I am pleased with the service I am receiving.

I have to say, as a service users wife, the level of care that we receive is exemplary.
Every carer/management team that has attended to my husband over the last six months or so are very passionate about their job. They do everything they are asked to do, and more, without any hesitation. We have
8-carers a day, and they all come to us with total respect for us and our home.
They are wonderful support for me, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing a care company.

The best caring company we ever had to care for my mother-in-law of 96. The manager and his team are what all care companies should aspire to.
They are the most caring team and treated my mother with the kindest and professional care. We only wish we could have had them to care for her in her last
discharge from the hospital, but the hospital wouldn't allow it, as I know, she would have been treated better.

I have been with OneCare for the past four years. I have received a great service in that time. All the carers are friendly and polite. I have got to know the management of the company very well also, who are always professional and supportive. Over time my mobility has become worse, I now spend my
time at home. Its always nice to see a friendly face to have a conversation with.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.119)

Overview of Review Score

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.219 for OneCare Southampton is calculated as follows: ( (50 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 64 Ratings = 4.219

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for OneCare Southampton is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

With over 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector, my career has taken me from frontline care roles to senior leadership positions. I’ve worked across a wide range of services, supporting people from all walks of life, and developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced at every level—from those delivering care to those receiving it.

My leadership style is rooted in empathy, integrity, and a genuine commitment to person-centred care. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. I work closely with both clients and staff to ensure that every care plan is as individual as the person it’s designed for—focused on achievable outcomes, meaningful goals, and the person’s own values and wishes.

Throughout my career, I’ve championed transparency in service delivery. I believe everyone involved in an individual’s care—whether family members, professionals, or support staff—should be kept fully informed and included in the process. Clear communication and shared understanding are key to building trust and delivering consistently high standards.

I’m also passionate about supporting and developing the teams I lead. I create a culture where carers feel valued, listened to, and equipped to do their best work. This includes promoting robust training, open dialogue, and strong supervision so that our services don’t just meet expectations—they exceed them.

As Registered Care Manager at OneCare Group UK Limited, I oversee the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive domiciliary care across Southampton. My role includes ensuring regulatory compliance, leading service development, and driving quality improvement through systems such as Nourish. I work with commissioners, clients, families, and staff to deliver care that is not only safe and professional but also warm, personal, and empowering.

Above all, I’m driven by a simple principle: every person deserves to be cared for in a way that respects who they are. I’m proud to lead a service where that belief is not just talked about—but lived every day.
