Home Instead's care and consideration for my mother following her discharge from the hospital over a number of weeks was absolutely superlative. Always kind and compassionate, each carer forged a personal bond with her and make the effort to get to know her and her priorities and preferences. Each also took the time to talk to my father as well as to her and every visit became something to look forward to for both of them. It soon felt like there were old friends in the house, with lots of conversation and laughter accompanying every visit, as well as meticulous clinical and pastoral care. I cannot recommend Home Instead and their teams of dedicated professional carers more highly. I know my father feels the same, even though he was initially cautious about people he didn't know coming round - but he soon got to know them well and to trust and respect them immensely. It was not just my parents that appreciated the very special input of Home Instead, but our whole family.

Very friendly and professional caregiving team, who have all created a strong rapport and trust with my uncle within a very short time. They are efficient, arriving on time and leaving as required. Personal care has been delivered at a high level with perseverance and continued encouragement in a gentle yet assertive way. Service has extended to include laundry and prompting of medication, which is great. Communication between carers, management and office team has been excellent to date and we feel our ideas and (rare) concerns are listened to carefully and addressed promptly by circulating an email to all the team. Some actions are still 'work in progress' which is understandable when working with a bright and very independent minded gentleman! Continuity is also a strong factor with the team mainly being the same three Care Givers. Overall, we are very happy to have chosen Home Instead.

We, that is me and my immediate family, are extremely pleased with the level of friendly and personal service and supervision from the team who care for my mother (3 times a day). Communication with me is very good and this is an important aspect as I live a long way from Chichester. The ability to deal with the unexpected problems that crop up has been terrific and is a great help and comfort to me.

When choosing a care service for one's very elderly frail mother (98 years), one hopes to find carers who are kind, gentle and capable and are able to develop a positive relationship with the client, meeting individual requirements, encouraging choice and sustaining dignity. All of these hopes have been met fully by Home Instead, signicantly influenced by consistency of well-motivated and well-trained staff, with most of the weekly 13.5 hours service being delivered by two staff, with the balance being delivered by a very limited number of other personnel.

Home Instead have been amazing for us. Before we found Home Instead, myself and my sister were massively struggling to cope with the demands of looking after our mentally ill mother. She was not looking after herself and her living on her own was dangerous on many levels, but she did not want to move into residential care. Over the last year, care givers from Home Instead have been visiting every day – helping with her day to day needs and tasks, keeping her company and assessing any changes. This has meant she hasn’t needed to move into care and has managed to keep some level of independence and our lives have improved dramatically. The staff at Home Instead are friendly, approachable and professional and come highly recommended.

The notes were always well written so I could always see what had gone on during a shift. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

The manager checks regularly to ensure that we are happy with the service and office staff are friendly when I need to ring them.
