Westwood Homecare came to look after my husband's personal care. I am so grateful to the wonderful team of carers from Westwood Homecare who came into our lives to help look after my husband when he was discharged from the hospital. I particularly want to thank the team for the unfaltering care and attention they paid to my husband when he was at his lowest. They made a difficult situation bearable and we looked forward to seeing them each day, in fact it seemed very strange when the visits had to end. On occasion we had a new face for a couple of days, and each and every one was kind, considerate and professional. It helped enormously that we were able to get to know the team who visited, and we knew exactly who would be coming each day. I would also like to thank the team behind the phone. Always helpful and keen to assist in any way, making things as easy for me as could possibly be in the circumstances.
I have no hesitation is recommending Westwood Homecare.

Brought in for personal and domestic care was told on sign up they could do everything. Office staff are rude and tbh don't really care, my advice would be look for a firm that keeps their word. There are loads of other faults as well, very slow to respond if you can get through to them.

I was employing this agency to care for my 80-year-old mother who has late stage Dementia and my 91-year-old frail father. We have had a catalogue of safeguarding issues with them over the last few months. Mainly with them not turning up but there have been a few safeguarding issues reported to the council by community nurses and social workers.
My mum is bed bound and requires 2 carers to reposition her to prevent bed sores. Both my parents are on medication that should be taken at regular intervals. The problems are with the managers not doing the rotas correctly rather than the actual carers who are in the majority fantastic. They failed to turn up on numerous occasions over a 2 week period and had external agency cover on the rota for them over the weekend even though I had said I didn't want agency cover coming in as my Dad get confused with new people. Not a single apology at any time from management. The owner just ignores you and manager not much better.

Dear Lorraine, thank you for raising these concerns. In response, the rota which covered the calls for both your Mother and Father we already arranged the week previous but the staff allocated contacted the office to say they would not be able to attend. We were left with no alternative but to use an outside agency- previously agreed with yourself and your brother that this would be acceptable as a last resort. Westwood Homecare no longer have the need for agency as we have recruited fully trained, experienced and flexible staff. With regards to Westwood Homecare not offering an apology I believe you have spoken with our director about this issue, and also have been in constant contact with myself and my assistant manager. The new management team at Westwood Homecare have only been in place 6 weeks and have been working extremely hard to ensure we are able to provide exceptional care for our clients.
