I have been really impressed with the care my mum has received. The carers have been very kind and considerate. My mum has with them and danced (in her chair) they make her really happy. I have not seen my mum this cheerful in a long time. I cannot fault her care.

My wife suffers from terminal lung cancer and COPD she is very shaky on her legs and has had two falls. She can be very determined to walk without aid and we have found all of the carers have been wonderful in the care and treatment I could recommend them for the work they do.

Ladies and gentlemen that care for me are very good. Very helpful, make sure my DVD player is ready for me to watch before they leave. I cannot grumble as the company always helps and support me in the ways I require. Great routine of carers. Without carers I couldn't do anything. So thank you all.

I have been using Enabling Care For You Ltd for my mother for sixteen months I have been very very happy with the care and support my mother has received in this time. On the whole, except for holidays etc, the same two teams of carers attend every day. I think this is important as they have formed a good relationship with Mum based on familiarity, trust and good care. Nothing is too much trouble and they take the time to chat with Mum and make her laugh. Alsothe management are very good and I feel I can speak to them about anything and I will be listened to and it will be dealt with. All in all, Enabling Care For You Ltd is a company who genuinely care for their clients need and mental wellbeing.

We have had and are having extremely sensitive care from all the carers who continue to look after my husband. He was discharged from hospital almost five months ago for home nursing. His is a complicated case but has been eased by all the wonderful support from Enabling Care For You Ltd carers. Sadly he has now reached the palliative carestage and I am grateful to have the experienced professionals help and guide me and show so much compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend this agency.

Most of the carers were friendly and professional and treated my husband with dignity.
The unfortunate element was the timings for getting ready for bed - sometimes, this would be earlier than expected whilst we were still eating dinner.

Generally, the service was good.

Reply from Philippa Potter, Registered Manager at Enabling Care For You Ltd
Many thanks for your feedback. It is always hard to be exactly on time.

This is why we always advise family members that there is a 30-minute leeway either way. This ensures staff have adequate time if they have an emergency in the call in front. Unfortunately, this is out of our hands in the case of waiting for an emergency response.

Philippa Potter Job Title: Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2013
Philippa Potter

Philippa Potter is the Founder and Director of Enabling Care For You, established in 2013 to provide high-quality, person-centred care in the community. With a career spanning over 27 years in the health and social care sector, Philippa has built her professional reputation on strong values, practical leadership, and an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in her care.

Currently undertaking her Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Philippa has a proven record of combining academic learning with practical expertise. She completed her Level 5 NVQ in Leadership for Health and Social Care in 2008, following earlier achievements of Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Care.

These qualifications reflect her lifelong commitment to professional development and to leading by example.

Philippa’s journey into care began in a residential home in Plaxtol, Sevenoaks, where she held the role of Manager and formed a longstanding professional partnership with Lesley, with whom she later co-founded Enabling Care For You. After the birth of her youngest child, Philippa felt drawn to work more closely with people in their own homes. She spent two years working for a mental health charity, supporting vulnerable adults and gaining valuable frontline experience that deepened her understanding of community-based care.

Philippa’s career progressed further when she joined Kent County Council’s Commercial Services flagship care agency. Her leadership abilities were quickly recognised, and she advanced from Branch Manager to Registered Manager for Kent and Brighton, and later to Area Manager. These roles gave her responsibility for overseeing large, diverse teams and ensuring consistent, high-quality standards across multiple areas.

In 2013, driven by a conviction that care could be done differently – with greater compassion, stronger accountability, and more specialist expertise – Philippa took the bold step of starting her own agency. Under her leadership, Enabling Care For You has developed a strong reputation for delivering specialist support to adults with palliative and complex care needs. The agency is known for its ability to combine compassion with clinical excellence, offering bespoke care packages that prioritise dignity, independence, and comfort.

Philippa remains actively involved in the day-to-day running of the agency. Her hands-on approach ensures that she maintains direct contact with clients, families, and staff, fostering a culture of trust and integrity. She is particularly recognised for her ability to support individuals with complex needs at home, often working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Beyond her professional role, Philippa is a strong advocate for continuous improvement in social care. She believes in nurturing staff through training, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring that the next generation of care professionals carries forward the values of empathy, respect, and excellence.

Philippa is widely respected for her vision, leadership, and commitment to high standards of care, and continues to drive Enabling Care For You forward as a leading provider of specialist community care.

Lesley Pell Job Title: Co-Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2015
Lesley Pell

Lesley brings over 40 years of experience in the care sector and a wealth of knowledge shaped by decades of hands-on practice. Her career began in residential care, where she balanced raising her young family with a deep commitment to supporting others.

In 1994, Lesley took a bold and personal step by opening her own residential care home within her family home. What began with one client quickly grew into a respected, family-run service supporting up to five residents. For 24 years, she provided care with warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch that families valued deeply. The home closed in 2017 due to family logistics, but the impact of Lesley’s dedication lives on in the lives she touched.

Lesley holds the Registered Manager’s Award (RMA) and has completed Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Health and Social Care, reflecting both her practical skill and her leadership ability.

When Enabling Care For You was first founded, Lesley joined as a sleeping partner, quietly supporting the agency as it found its feet. But as the business grew, her depth of experience became invaluable. Today, Lesley plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the agency, offering seasoned insight, compassion, and a deep understanding of client needs.

Families know Lesley for her approachable nature and her ability to combine decades of experience with genuine warmth. She helps to ensure that Enabling Care For You remains true to its roots: delivering care that feels personal, professional, and firmly grounded in real-world experience.
