Ladies and gentlemen that care for me are very good. Very helpful, make sure my DVD player is ready for me to watch before they leave. I cannot grumble as the company always helps and support me in the ways I require. Great routine of carers. Without carers I couldn't do anything. So thank you all.
Reply from Philippa Potter, Registered Manager at Enabling Care For You LtdThankyou for your review.

I have been using Enabling Care For You Ltd for my mother for sixteen months I have been very very happy with the care and support my mother has received in this time. On the whole, except for holidays etc, the same two teams of carers attend every day. I think this is important as they have formed
a good relationship with Mum based on familiarity, trust and good care. Nothing is too much trouble and they take the time to chat with Mum and make her laugh. Alsothe management are very good and I feel I can speak to them about anything and I will be listened to and it will be dealt with. All in all, Enabling Care For You Ltd is a company who genuinely care for their clients need and mental wellbeing.
Reply from Philippa Potter, Registered Manager at Enabling Care For You LtdThank you so much for such an amazing review. Mum is a pleasure to work with and we are always happy to go above and beyond to make the individual happy. I'm so pleased the company ethos is reaching the individuals we care for and their family.

We have had and are having extremely sensitive care from all the carers who continue to look after my husband. He was discharged from hospital almost five months ago for home nursing. His is a complicated case but has been eased by all the wonderful support from Enabling Care For You Ltd carers. Sadly
he has now reached the palliative carestage and I am grateful to have the experienced professionals help and guide me and show so much compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend this agency.

On the whole not bad, some good, some not so good.
Reply from Philippa Potter, Registered Manager at Enabling Care For You LtdMany thanks for your review. I am somewhat perplexed at your review as you have been with the agency for over two years with numerous amounts of additional input to ensure your care package is specific for your specific needs. You have had ample opportunity to change agency yet you have chosen to stay and yet only rate us 3/5 stars.
I appreciate that the slight increase in charges this winter may have added to the review; we have not had an increase in 5 years and due to the pandemic the prices have increased on all PPE not to mention the increase of the cost of living for the agency. This is unavoidable I am afraid.

Most of the carers were friendly and professional and treated my husband with dignity.
The unfortunate element was the timings for getting ready for bed - sometimes, this would be earlier than expected whilst we were still eating dinner.
Generally, the service was good.
Reply from Philippa Potter, Registered Manager at Enabling Care For You LtdMany thanks for your feedback. It is always hard to be exactly on time.
This is why we always advise family members that there is a 30-minute leeway either way. This ensures staff have adequate time if they have an emergency in the call in front. Unfortunately, this is out of our hands in the case of waiting for an emergency response.

Well, what can I say? We basically couldn't have asked for a better company to look after my dear Mum. They couldn't have done any more. We found all carers very professional, kind, supportive, and excellent at their role of care and support. Their constant goodwill and kindness were always welcome and cheering for us all. As the patient had been a health professional for many years he knew many carers, nurses, and staff. We have good

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.929 for Enabling Care For You Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (210 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 226 Ratings = 4.929

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Enabling Care For You Ltd is based on 41 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Philippa Potter

Job Title: Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2013

Philippa Potter is the Founder and Director of Enabling Care For You, established in 2013 to provide high-quality, person-centred care in the community. With a career spanning over 27 years in the health and social care sector, Philippa has built her professional reputation on strong values, practical leadership, and an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in her care.

Currently undertaking her Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Philippa has a proven record of combining academic learning with practical expertise. She completed her Level 5 NVQ in Leadership for Health and Social Care in 2008, following earlier achievements of Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Care.

These qualifications reflect her lifelong commitment to professional development and to leading by example.

Philippa’s journey into care began in a residential home in Plaxtol, Sevenoaks, where she held the role of Manager and formed a longstanding professional partnership with Lesley, with whom she later co-founded Enabling Care For You. After the birth of her youngest child, Philippa felt drawn to work more closely with people in their own homes. She spent two years working for a mental health charity, supporting vulnerable adults and gaining valuable frontline experience that deepened her understanding of community-based care.

Philippa’s career progressed further when she joined Kent County Council’s Commercial Services flagship care agency. Her leadership abilities were quickly recognised, and she advanced from Branch Manager to Registered Manager for Kent and Brighton, and later to Area Manager. These roles gave her responsibility for overseeing large, diverse teams and ensuring consistent, high-quality standards across multiple areas.

In 2013, driven by a conviction that care could be done differently – with greater compassion, stronger accountability, and more specialist expertise – Philippa took the bold step of starting her own agency. Under her leadership, Enabling Care For You has developed a strong reputation for delivering specialist support to adults with palliative and complex care needs. The agency is known for its ability to combine compassion with clinical excellence, offering bespoke care packages that prioritise dignity, independence, and comfort.

Philippa remains actively involved in the day-to-day running of the agency. Her hands-on approach ensures that she maintains direct contact with clients, families, and staff, fostering a culture of trust and integrity. She is particularly recognised for her ability to support individuals with complex needs at home, often working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Beyond her professional role, Philippa is a strong advocate for continuous improvement in social care. She believes in nurturing staff through training, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring that the next generation of care professionals carries forward the values of empathy, respect, and excellence.

Philippa is widely respected for her vision, leadership, and commitment to high standards of care, and continues to drive Enabling Care For You forward as a leading provider of specialist community care.

Lesley Pell

Job Title: Co-Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2015

Lesley brings over 40 years of experience in the care sector and a wealth of knowledge shaped by decades of hands-on practice. Her career began in residential care, where she balanced raising her young family with a deep commitment to supporting others.

In 1994, Lesley took a bold and personal step by opening her own residential care home within her family home. What began with one client quickly grew into a respected, family-run service supporting up to five residents. For 24 years, she provided care with warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch that families valued deeply. The home closed in 2017 due to family logistics, but the impact of Lesley’s dedication lives on in the lives she touched.

Lesley holds the Registered Manager’s Award (RMA) and has completed Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Health and Social Care, reflecting both her practical skill and her leadership ability.

When Enabling Care For You was first founded, Lesley joined as a sleeping partner, quietly supporting the agency as it found its feet. But as the business grew, her depth of experience became invaluable. Today, Lesley plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the agency, offering seasoned insight, compassion, and a deep understanding of client needs.

Families know Lesley for her approachable nature and her ability to combine decades of experience with genuine warmth. She helps to ensure that Enabling Care For You remains true to its roots: delivering care that feels personal, professional, and firmly grounded in real-world experience.
