The care and support we received from the carers during the short time my mum has at home, following her diagnosis were second to none. They were truly amazing to my mum, who so looked forward to their visits and also to us, the family. Nothing was too much trouble, and I am so glad and grateful that they were here shortly after her passing. They made a hard time that bit easier. My mum loved them, and so did we.

The day staff (carers) we have regularly are great. Very helpful to me and my husband. Two ladies can't do enough. The evening staff are good but come too early. We did have two girls at the beginning who were no good to us. Very negative, so I asked that they didn't come again. I'm worried about the four days coming up as the girls are on four very-deserved days off, and we don't know the team who are taking over from them.

Thank you so much for your review, all feedback is good as it helps us to learn and improve our service. All of our carers work on a four on four off rota, which gives our clients great consistency. During the holiday seasons, clients may see different carers so that carers can take their annual...

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the main carer of my mum, who really stepped up whilst I have had Covid. On recovering, I had two days convalescing, and whilst my daughter stayed with my 94-year-old mum, my mum had a fall early one morning. Our carer was there almost immediately to help and reassure. It filled me with confidence other people care as well as me.

The carers were, without exception, the very best. Compassionate and sensitive to the patient and the family, without losing their focus on the needs of the patient. Truly professional and obviously well trained. However dark the situation, never failing to smile, a kind word, and at times, respectful silence. I applaud them; she would applaud them, she died 14/06/2021.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure to be involved in your lives at such a difficult time. I was so sorry to hear that your wife succumbed to her illness. She approached her battle the same way she did everything else — with grace and determination.

One lady has been caring and providing support for my aunt and her husband in the final months of my aunt’s life. She has shown so much care and attention to them both, going above and beyond to make them comfortable.
My aunt sadly passed away today, but I know that the carer was thought of very highly by my aunt.
I can never thank her enough for her continued support, and I will be forever grateful.

Thank you.

The carers are very good; they do what they have to, just wish some of them had a kinder and gentler bedside manner. I know it isn't possible to have a conversation with due to he is deaf and cannot hear them.

I have had carers from this care company for just over a week now, and I’m very impressed and grateful.

In particular, I have felt very comfortable, non-judged and at ease with the carers, and that isn’t something I can speakeasy of, especially with personal care. I don’t look forward to their 4-days off. Well done, Enabling Care, for getting things right. Thank you!

Can't thank the team enough. The team made it possible for my brother to die at home in a dignified manner.

The girls on the calls were fantastic as were the ladies in the office. One lady was always happy to talk night or day, and another lady couldn't help enough moving the calls around at the drop of a hat. Thank you.

My husband and I have been looked after by Enabling Care For You for almost two years, and apart from a few blips regarding call times, we have been more than happy with the care received. The staff are caring and efficient, and the hierarchy is always available should there be any problems. I would have no problem recommending Enabling Care For you to other family and friends.

I have been with the company for many years now and always admired the work the carers do. At the present, I am more than happy with the continuity that the company provide; it gives us as clients security, trust and terrific care. When being in the hospital quite regularly, the staff and management have been a great support to me. They, the management, have always come up trumps with providing carers for me coming home. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the wonderful care your staff gave to my father-in-law in the last week of his life. Each and every one of your carers inspired confidence, that they knew what they were doing, and gave a very high standard of care. They acted with professionalism and were a huge support to the whole family. They all introduced themselves and were amazing, especially with all the concerns surrounding Covid19. They all wore PPE and we felt safe with their visits. We can't thank you enough for all your help at such a stressful and sad time.

I needed care for my partner so that he could come home from hospital and this agency was recommended to me. Initially, I was cautious as their website lead me to believe they dealt with mainly children but I took the chance.
The assessment was carried out at the hospital within 4 hours and I was able to take my husband home the following morning. I can not say how amazing their support was for my partner. We have quite a large package of care, the office went above and beyond to supply care to my partner whom had very changeable needs and could become very challenging even with the manager and her team coming out of the office on several occasions at very short notice.

Highly recommended

Philippa Potter Job Title: Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2013
Philippa Potter

Philippa Potter is the Founder and Director of Enabling Care For You, established in 2013 to provide high-quality, person-centred care in the community. With a career spanning over 27 years in the health and social care sector, Philippa has built her professional reputation on strong values, practical leadership, and an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in her care.

Currently undertaking her Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Philippa has a proven record of combining academic learning with practical expertise. She completed her Level 5 NVQ in Leadership for Health and Social Care in 2008, following earlier achievements of Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Care.

These qualifications reflect her lifelong commitment to professional development and to leading by example.

Philippa’s journey into care began in a residential home in Plaxtol, Sevenoaks, where she held the role of Manager and formed a longstanding professional partnership with Lesley, with whom she later co-founded Enabling Care For You. After the birth of her youngest child, Philippa felt drawn to work more closely with people in their own homes. She spent two years working for a mental health charity, supporting vulnerable adults and gaining valuable frontline experience that deepened her understanding of community-based care.

Philippa’s career progressed further when she joined Kent County Council’s Commercial Services flagship care agency. Her leadership abilities were quickly recognised, and she advanced from Branch Manager to Registered Manager for Kent and Brighton, and later to Area Manager. These roles gave her responsibility for overseeing large, diverse teams and ensuring consistent, high-quality standards across multiple areas.

In 2013, driven by a conviction that care could be done differently – with greater compassion, stronger accountability, and more specialist expertise – Philippa took the bold step of starting her own agency. Under her leadership, Enabling Care For You has developed a strong reputation for delivering specialist support to adults with palliative and complex care needs. The agency is known for its ability to combine compassion with clinical excellence, offering bespoke care packages that prioritise dignity, independence, and comfort.

Philippa remains actively involved in the day-to-day running of the agency. Her hands-on approach ensures that she maintains direct contact with clients, families, and staff, fostering a culture of trust and integrity. She is particularly recognised for her ability to support individuals with complex needs at home, often working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Beyond her professional role, Philippa is a strong advocate for continuous improvement in social care. She believes in nurturing staff through training, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring that the next generation of care professionals carries forward the values of empathy, respect, and excellence.

Philippa is widely respected for her vision, leadership, and commitment to high standards of care, and continues to drive Enabling Care For You forward as a leading provider of specialist community care.

Lesley Pell Job Title: Co-Founder & Director, Enabling Care For You Joined: 2015
Lesley Pell

Lesley brings over 40 years of experience in the care sector and a wealth of knowledge shaped by decades of hands-on practice. Her career began in residential care, where she balanced raising her young family with a deep commitment to supporting others.

In 1994, Lesley took a bold and personal step by opening her own residential care home within her family home. What began with one client quickly grew into a respected, family-run service supporting up to five residents. For 24 years, she provided care with warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch that families valued deeply. The home closed in 2017 due to family logistics, but the impact of Lesley’s dedication lives on in the lives she touched.

Lesley holds the Registered Manager’s Award (RMA) and has completed Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Health and Social Care, reflecting both her practical skill and her leadership ability.

When Enabling Care For You was first founded, Lesley joined as a sleeping partner, quietly supporting the agency as it found its feet. But as the business grew, her depth of experience became invaluable. Today, Lesley plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the agency, offering seasoned insight, compassion, and a deep understanding of client needs.

Families know Lesley for her approachable nature and her ability to combine decades of experience with genuine warmth. She helps to ensure that Enabling Care For You remains true to its roots: delivering care that feels personal, professional, and firmly grounded in real-world experience.
