We employed Craven Homecare initially so my dad could get used to people coming to his home to help him. As his dementia has gotten worse, we have increased our level of support. The carers are all lovely and treat my dad with dignity and respect and also take time to chat with my mum. During a recent emergency, Susanne went out of her way to arrange for extra staff to visit to ensure my dad was safe. I feel comforted knowing that carers are assisting my parents. Having the app also gives me peace of mind as I can read comments inputted by the carers and get a sense of what's going on.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We always strive to support the whole family on a daily basis and also in any emergency basis. At Craven Home Care we always aim to provide "that bit extra":
Craven Home Care now supports mother at home for extended periods four times daily, & manages her complex needs associated with mobility, self-care & medication. All care workers are deeply caring, compassionate & respectful towards mother, & are highly competent. Crucially, they add social interest & enjoyment to mother's life, relating to her as an individual woman in her own right - something my mother has always valued dearly. The management team goes above and beyond in sharing information, seeking input & offering helpful insights to the family, & in ensuring the trustworthy delivery of support that is as appropriate & effective as possible every step of the way. I cannot sufficiently express my gratitude, nor recommend them enough.
Thank you for your wonderful review at Craven Home Care we strive to ensure we provide the best experience for our clients and also support for the family.
My mother suffered a fall and phoned to let me know that she coul not regain her feet. I immediately phoned Craven Home Care before I set off to assist. The person I spoke to organised two carers to attend and they were on hand before I'd even arrived. By the time I arrived theg had got my mother in a seated position and she was safe and calm. This was excellent, speedy service, particularly when you consider that my step father is the service user not my mother. Thank you to the team.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We always try to support the whole family as part of our ethos. So glad we have been able to help.
Craven Homecare has looked after my 89 year old mother at her own flat. She has quite complex needs including a catheter and difficulty with mobility. From the first visit, which was an introduction to the company, all the management and staff have been professional, extremely compassionate and caring. My mother has had two medical episodes whilst the carers have been present and these have been dealt with brilliantly ensuring she got the right medical care. We can totally trust this company and they've taken a huge amount of pressure off the family. The staff all know their roles and responsibilities (always attend when due) and there's excellent communication between the company and family. When caring for my mum they do it with good humour and compassion. My mother is looking forward to leaving hospital and going home as she also has total faith in the care provided by Craven Homecare.
Thank you for taking the time to undertake a review this really does mean a lot to us. We really hope that in the not to distant future we can be of service again to your mum and you as a family
Both my Sister and I live away from the Skipton area but are responsible for our 90 year old Dad. It was becoming apparent that Dad really was beginning to struggle living alone and needed some outside input. Cath and her team could not have been more helpful , they responded to meet with us and help almost immediately and offered to support my Dad in whichever way they could eg shopping , cleaning , tidying , preparing food . Their approach was very much "can do " and they really aimed to provide care tailored exactly to meet Dads needs.
Thank you for our great review we really appreciate you taking the time.
She is becoming more reluctant to eat, drink or take her medication. Only last week we had a day where mum hadn't eaten or drunk anything and was convinced she'd already had her tablets when she hadn't. But the wonderful thing about Craven Home Care is that they discuss problems with me, and think outside the box when coming up with potential solutions, but still make me feel included. This is after all my mum.
Their revised approach resulted in mum happily having her lunch and a cup of tea with her tablets which was a great result.
Craven Home Care gives me peace of mind enabling me to carry on with daily life, as well as the chance to be mum's daughter again. Priceless
Thank you so much for the wonderful review, we always aim to provide support with the person at the heart of everything we do and our specialty is to work with each individual "thinking outside the box" to give the best service we can to clients and their families.
