I have used this care agency for my mother for several months and have found them reliable. They respond quickly to any problems and let me know if they have any concerns regarding my mother's care.
Lavender Care Agency has always been very kind and responds quickly to any requests for my husband. In the past, I have asked for extra visits when I have taken a break and immediately there is a problem they phone to inform me. Recently, I injured my back in a fall and I asked last week for extra help with tidying up for my husband the request was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We cannot fault Lavender in any way. They do a great job!
Lavender Care have been supportive and flexible in helping to meet the developing needs of my parents-in-law, who can be difficult to help in their various ways. In particular, we really appreciated the speed with which they were able to organise someone to come and provide live-in care. The carers have been kind and gentle, even when met with little that was positive or encouraging from the person they were caring for. They have been diligent with the household tasks and friendly towards my children when they visit, which really makes the whole situation so much easier to manage. The manager is highly personable, knowledgeable and a great support to her staff and the clients. When personalities did not gel, the manager was able to reassign staff to get a better match. We really appreciate everything she and her team are doing to support us in enabling my mother-in-law to stay in her own home.
Absolutely amazing! From the office to carers, nothing was ever too much trouble. Put my brother's needs first and they always came in with a cheery welcoming smile. Some of the carers went above and beyond and if my brother wasn’t moving into an assisted living accommodation with other carers we would have stayed with Lavender Care. I have no negatives whatsoever I recommend highly … brilliant!
They treat their clients in a discrete and respectful manner. Nothing is too much bother for them to do. It's good to know that you are getting the same carer(s) rather than random unknown faces, this is comforting for the client and family. You are able to request whether your carers are female or male which can be important if the client needs personal care. One staff member is particularly good and efficient with his caregiving.
Generally, the carer is on schedule but should an emergency delay them you will be contacted. Lavender can be flexible as long as they are given a reasonable warning.
Should you have a problem the manager is available and willing to discuss to get the issue resolved.
Other than The Short Term, Assessment, Response, Treatment team we have not had any experience of carers so used the council assessment team to source. We are happy with Lavender and do not have a reason to change.
